Back Up supports people affected by spinal cord injury and their families to rebuild independence, confidence and a sense of purpose after injury. Through services delivered in spinal injury centres, hospitals, communities and through innovative digital platforms, the charity helps people to live the life they choose after spinal cord injury.

Alongside continued service development, the organisation is investing in regional expansion across the UK, digital transformation and the development of strategic partnerships that will help increase both impact and income. With organisational income currently standing at approximately £3.2m, Back Up has ambitious plans to grow income to £5m by 2030, with this role playing a key part in these plans. 

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Head of Partnerships will lead a team of five colleagues across Trusts & Foundations, Corporate Partnerships and Special Events. The charity benefits from a well-established trusts programme, an engaged Development Board, strong existing relationships and a healthy fundraising pipeline. The opportunity now is to build on these solid foundations and unlock the significant growth potential that exists across the entire partnerships portfolio.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the next phase of fundraising growth, strengthening existing relationships, developing compelling partnership propositions and creating a more joined-up approach across trusts, corporates, special events and wider fundraising activity.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can think strategically whilst remaining actively involved in relationship management, opportunity development and fundraising delivery. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between development board-level discussions, team leadership and hands-on fundraising activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and inspire the Partnerships team across Trusts & Foundations, Corporate Partnerships and Special Events.
• Develop and deliver ambitious fundraising plans that contribute to Back Up's target of growing income to £5m by 2030.
• Build and steward high-value relationships with trusts, foundations, statutory funders, corporate partners and senior stakeholders.
• Develop compelling funding propositions aligned to organisational priorities, service development and strategic objectives.
• Drive the growth of strategic partnerships and identify new opportunities for sustainable income generation.
• Work closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and service delivery to maximise opportunities and strengthen collaboration.
• Engage effectively with Back Up's Development Board, leveraging networks and connections to unlock new relationships and opportunities.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• A strong track record of delivering growth within high-value fundraising, with significant experience in either Trusts & Foundations or Corporate Partnerships fundraising.
• Experience of leading, developing and motivating successful teams.
• Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to identify and develop strategic fundraising opportunities.
• Strong proposition development skills and the ability to translate organisational priorities into compelling cases for support.
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders, volunteers, board members or corporate leaders.
• The ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels.
• Experience of Special Events fundraising would be advantageous but is not essential.

As Senior Manager, Legacies and In Memory, you'll lead the development and delivery of an ambitious strategy that inspires more people to leave a gift in their Will or give in memory of a loved one. You'll bring substantial experience of leading successful Legacies and/or In Memory fundraising programmes across both marketing and stewardship functions, with a track record of developing long-term strategies that grow sustainable income. You'll understand the sensitive nature of these audiences and be experienced in creating compelling supporter journeys, managing significant budgets and identifying innovative opportunities to grow legacy and in memory giving.

We're looking for an experienced and confident leader who knows how to build high-performing teams. You'll have a track record of creating an inclusive, positive team culture where people feel supported, motivated and empowered to achieve ambitious goals. You'll be comfortable leading through change, bringing people with you and helping teams adapt, grow and succeed during a period of transformation.

You'll be a collaborative and credible senior manager, able to build strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners. You'll be confident challenging constructively, influencing senior stakeholders and working alongside fellow leaders to deliver shared objectives. OneSky is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to manage our corporate and foundation partnerships outside of Asia. The Director of Partnerships is a seasoned international NGO fundraiser and an excellent communicator and collaborator. They will have a track record in building, maintaining, and stewarding new and long-term corporate and foundation donor relationships, and soliciting and securing gifts of USD$50,000 and up. They will oversee a portfolio of existing funders while also developing a pipeline of new potential institutional funders.

• Solicit and secure grants and sponsorships that allow OneSky programs to flourish.
• Collaborate with other global team members to grow and diversify foundation and corporate partnership opportunities. Continually research and identify prospective corporate and foundation donors across multiple sectors that align with our mission priorities to maintain a robust and diverse prospect pipeline.
• Develop and maintain strategic, high-level relationships with funding partners and prospects in collaboration with senior leadership.

You’ll know what makes a great campaign, but you’ll also understand everything that needs to happen behind the scenes to deliver it successfully. You may already be a Head of Marketing, or you could be an experienced senior marketing or campaigns professional ready to take the next step. About Us

For over 21 years, The Pickering Cancer Drop-In Centre has offered free, holistic support to anyone in our community affected by cancer through complementary therapies, talking therapies, art, and our supportive community.

In 2025 alone, we had 1,911 individual visits and 1,021 therapy sessions - entirely through the dedication of our volunteer team. We are currently renovating our new centre, and we want to use it to reach further into our community than ever before. This is the first paid role in our history.

About the Role

As our first Executive Director, you will be the single point of accountability between our Board of Trustees and the day-to-day operation of the Centre - working alongside our (voluntary) Centre Manager and (voluntary) Volunteer Manager to support their roles, not duplicate them. You'll lead our strategy delivery, guide the charity's move into its new home, and oversee a service redesign informed by a fresh programme of visitor, volunteer and community research.

About You

You already know how to do this job - you've held a senior, accountable position in a charity or comparable organisation and can bring that experience from day one. You're confident reporting to a board of trustees, comfortable getting things done, and able to win the trust of a highly experienced, long-standing volunteer team through competence and credibility, not authority alone.

Key Activity Areas

• Financial management – budgeting, financial controls, and reporting to the Board and Treasurer

• Governance & best practice – supporting trustees to discharge their statutory duties; maintaining the policy suite and risk register

• HR & people leadership – supporting our entire volunteer and therapist team; communication is key to our volunteers

This new Director of Philanthropy role will lead and guide the organisation to build philanthropic fundraising in Europe. This will involve developing a philanthropic fundraising strategy, working to build a pipeline of high-value donors, and securing five-, six-, and seven-figure gifts. This role will be responsible for delivering annual income targets rising to unrestricted or lightly restricted donations totalling £1 million per annum within four years. It will also support the Director, of their International Fund (based in the USA) in the development of an ambitious global catalytic unrestricted fund targeting $1 billion in commitments over the next five years.

To be successful in this role, this person will have proven significant experience in major gift fundraising and a proven track record of securing high-value, multi-year philanthropic commitments from individuals, family offices and/or foundations. This person will have knowledge and experience of UK and ideally European philanthropic markets. They will also need to have sensitivity to being a Global South-led organisation and an entrepreneurial mindset to achieve income growth. The Senior Legal Counsel is the first port of call for colleagues putting together and advising on new legal arrangements and documenting our leading health partnerships and fundraising activities. The Senior Legal Counsel works with the Foundation’s Legal team in providing legal advice and guidance for the Foundation’s innovative, impact-led programmes and activities, supporting our fundraising team alongside our fundraising compliance manager, and our work with Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. This role also assists with varied internal governance and compliance matters. 

Key Responsibilities 

Charitable Partnerships (Impact on Urban Health) 

• Identify relevant legal and compliance considerations on projects and activities within the IoUH team and work with IoUH to put in place appropriate mechanisms or policies to manage issues that are identified. 
• Structure and assist colleagues with drafting and negotiating agreements for a wide variety of charitable partnerships, including commercial contracts, grants, IP licences, novel investment models, revenue-sharing arrangements and data agreements. 
• Act as a thought partner with the team to advise on the structuring, legal risks and strategic implications of partnerships and future opportunities. 
• Maintain and appropriately file correspondence and documentation relating to commercial contracts. 

Fundraising (Charities)

• Identify and advise on relevant legal and regulatory considerations in respect of our fundraising activities and work with our fundraising compliance manager and the fundraising team to ensure our fundraising activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations.
• Drafting and supporting colleagues in negotiating a variety of fundraising agreements, including charity of the year agreements, commercial participation agreements, sponsorship agreements and pledge agreements.
• Advise on relevant governance matters relating to fundraising activities.
• Work closely with our fundraising compliance manager to ensure data protection aspects of our fundraising activities are managed appropriately. 

Procedure and Policy Efficiencies

• Draft, maintain and update our internal guidelines, policies and standard-form documents. 
• Create policy and process efficiencies. 
• Act as deputy data protection lead, supporting the primary data protection lead through providing training to colleagues and ensuring the Foundation’s mandated practice is understood and followed. 

Tailored Partnerships 

• Consider legal considerations, and appropriate processes, for working with certain partners (e.g. regulatory, private gain, data protection, policy), including advising on due diligence procedures and tailoring our standard form templates. 
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders on longer-term projects to change our partnership models to cede power to the communities we work with, whilst balancing this against our charity law obligations. 

Cross-Functional Work 

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders, including Policy, Influencing & Communications, Data, Evaluation & Learning and the Executive Team to advise on cross-team collaboration, opportunities, issues and risks relating to our charitable partnerships. 
• Assist teams such as Endowment, Systems, and People & Culture on their legal needs, including drafting, negotiating and agreeing documents and being the first port-of-call for a variety of legal issues. 
• Lead on specific projects for either individual directorates or cross-directorate projects. 
• Act as business partner to the Fundraising teams on a variety of issues, including advising and supporting them with drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of fundraising agreements. 
• Act as business partner to the Endowment team, ensuring they have the legal support required for the smooth running of their activities. 

Governance and Legal 

• Act as Company Secretary for the Foundation’s three subsidiary companies. 
• Work with the Foundation’s Legal Director & Company Secretary in advising colleagues on legal and governance matters.  
• Undertake research into specific legal issues or matters of best practice and provide training to Legal team colleagues on these issues. 
• Identify need for, organise and run training sessions on key legal and compliance issues to Foundation staff. 
• Deputise for the Legal Director & Company Secretary when required.

About the role

King's College London is seeking a strategic and data-driven Prospect Identification Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of sustainable philanthropic income across the university. Reporting to the Senior Prospect Research Manager, this role sits within the Prospect Development & Business Intelligence (PD&BI) team and will lead the development and delivery of an innovative prospect identification strategy that strengthens fundraising pipelines and creates new opportunities for major and principal gift fundraising.

Working closely with fundraising colleagues, prospect development specialists and business intelligence professionals, the postholder will identify, analyse and prioritise high-potential philanthropic prospects to support fundraising ambitions across a diverse range of programmes. The role will have particular responsibility for developing the long-term pipeline of principal and major gift prospects, helping to identify individuals, trusts and organisations with the potential to make transformational gifts.

The successful candidate will combine research expertise with strong analytical skills to drive data-led prospect generation through prospecting projects, wealth screenings, data mining and the use of external information sources. They will work collaboratively across the department to understand fundraising priorities, identify gaps and opportunities within existing pipelines, and ensure prospects are effectively allocated and progressed. The role will also contribute strategic research to support high-value fundraising opportunities and gift acceptance processes.

About you

Essential criteria
