You will get out into the community via outreach engagement, offering one-to-one support, events and groups.  You iwill be a key part of our Information and Guidance team, delivering wellbeing programmes and workshops for YES. 

This role is frontline and delivery-focused, supporting the development of responsive, inclusive, and professionally delivered services in outreach settings such as schools, youth clubs, social spaces and groups and will be pivotal within our small team of young people's support staff.

We are looking for a dedicated team to deliver person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to vulnerable women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. 

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 Responsibilities Include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins.
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity, founded by Fiona and Tim Spargo-Mabbs in 2014 in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Dan having taken ecstasy. The charity aims to support young people to make safer choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs and alcohol, and improving their life skills & resilience. We work with young people, parents, teachers and professionals, in schools, colleges and communities across the UK. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic communicator to join our team to coordinate our community and corporate fundraising activities.  The Corporate and Community Fundraiser is a fixed term maternity leave cover – it is therefore a great opportunity if you have previous experience and would like to use this to make a big impact.

The Corporate and Community Fundraiser will be responsible for raising money from the community and local/national organisations at our small but always rapidly growing and highly motivated charity. About the Project

PKD Scotland: Outreach and Community Connections Project. 

It is estimated that around 5,000 people in Scotland could be living with Polycystic Kidney 
Disease. It is however often poorly understood and historically underfunded, meaning people 
can leave clinic after diagnosis with little support beyond medical appointments. Many tell us 
they don't know where to turn for emotional support or to meet others living with the same 
condition. We want to change that and with support from a National lottery Awards for All grant 
that is exactly what we are going to do. 

The eighteen-month project will see us reach into hospitals across Scotland to try and ensure 
that no one with PKD in Scotland has to manage their journey on their own. From diagnosis 
onwards we want all to be aware of the charity, the array of services that we offer and foster 
engagement. Two new volunteer led support groups will be established and a group of 
ambassadors recruited to support the ongoing connections we make to ensure that PKD 
remains in the spotlight. 

As our Scotland PKD Engagement Officer you will be central to the success of the project. 
Many people only reach us years after diagnosis, often when symptoms worsen, but we know 
that early connection can make a real difference. PKD is lifelong and people face new 
challenges at every stage. Having support around them helps them stay confident, informed
and connected.

About The Role

 
As PKD’s Scotland Engagement Officer, you will play a central role in delivering this ambitious 
outreach project. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will raise awareness of the PKD Charity and its services, 
ensuring that people diagnosed with PKD are informed about available support from the earliest 
possible stage.

You will build and nurture relationships with NHS professionals and services across Scotland,

This role leads the development and delivery of the Spinal Injuries Association’s (SIA) training, learning and professional development offer. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of high‑quality programmes that strengthen the knowledge, skills and confidence of professionals supporting people with spinal cord injury (SCI).

Key responsibilities include expanding SIA’s existing training offer, creating advanced and tailored learning packages for a range of audiences across health, social care, education, the voluntary sector and wider community partners. Programmes are delivered through flexible formats — online, in‑person and hybrid — and adaptable to different organisations’ CPD requirements.

A core part of the role will be to manage the ongoing development and improvement of SIA’s Knowledge Hub, ensuring it remains current, accessible and aligned with best practice. This includes enhancing content quality, identifying gaps, and ensuring the platform supports both SIA’s training programmes and the wider SCI community.

Location: Rotherham

Salary:£25,466.66 per annum

Rotherham Hospice is a charity dedicated to the people of Rotherham, offering specialist palliative and end of life care to our community since 1996.

About the Role

Rotherham Hospice is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our Retail Team.

The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in supporting our retail stores by collecting donated items from the community and delivering purchased goods to customers.

Additionally, the Delivery Driver may be responsible for transporting items between our retail stores and the Retail Hub for processing.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a commitment to upholding the hospice's values while representing the organisation in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Collection and Delivery:

• Collect donated items from various locations within the community, including private residences, businesses, and donation drop-off points.
• Safely load and transport donated items to the Retail Hub for processing, ensuring the integrity and quality of the items during transit.
• Deliver purchased goods from retail stores to customers' homes or designated delivery locations, providing prompt and courteous service.

Inter-Store Transport:

• Transport donated items, merchandise, and supplies between our retail stores as needed to support inventory management and store operations.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of items between stores, following established routes and schedules to optimise efficiency.

Vehicle Maintenance and Safety:

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the Head of Facilities.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety protocols while driving and operating delivery vehicles, prioritising the safety of oneself and others

Customer Service:

• Provide friendly, professional, and responsive customer service during all interactions with donors, customers, and colleagues, representing Rotherham Hospice positively in the community.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading purchased items, offering assistance and support as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including item descriptions, quantities, and delivery locations, using designated paperwork or electronic systems as required.
• Report any delivery discrepancies, customer feedback, or incidents to management promptly, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Personal Specification

Essential:

• Previous experience in a delivery driver or similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with donors, customers, and colleagues.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items safely.
• Passionate about the mission and values of Rotherham Hospice, with a commitment to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
• Respectful and inclusive, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Professional and reliable, with a high level of integrity and accountability in all interactions.
