JOB PURPOSE
To provide information, advice, support and advocacy work on all forms of gender based violence faced by migrant women, including forced marriage, rape and sexual abuse, honour based crimes and related issues such as immigration/asylum and no recourse to public funds, matrimonial and children, housing and homelessness, mental health and financial matters. Your casework will focus on women with complex needs.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide a professional high-quality VAWG advocacy and outreach service.
2. Undertake casework and advocacy (this will include liaising with relevant professionals and agencies such as solicitors, social workers, police officers etc.)
3. Provide practical support such as accompanying women to appointments and courts, making reports to such agencies or collecting belongings and otherwise taking all necessary steps to ensure the general safety and wellbeing of women and children.
4. Write assessment reports and support letters, and under supervision, help to collect evidence and statements, as well as undertake some basic legal representation.
5. Undertake risk assessments for referral to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs)
6. Establish links with key partners [local authority, police, health, schools, etc.] to ensure effective referral routes and information sharing protocols.
7. Assist in developing and meeting quality standards in relation to advice and casework. This includes administration and IT systems for advice and casework.
8. Cover the helpline as required.
9. Assist migrant women to access immigration advice, and assist in meeting their housing needs.
10. To undertake campaigning and policy work arising from the advice and casework (this may involve some weekend/evening work)
11. Where necessary to assist staff in organising and running support group activities and consultations for women who are isolated and vulnerable due to their experiences of violence and abuse.
12. To publicise and provide S4S services, and attend, contribute and represent the organisation at relevant local meetings or initiatives.
13. To support and mentor the Women’s Council.
14. Follow S4S policies and procedures, and maintain IT and case file management systems.
15. Contribute to S4S record keeping and provide information for monitoring, evaluation, policy, and research and training purposes.
16. Ensure women are referred to S4S projects and activities as required for example, counselling or group work.
17. Support women residing in the refuge as required.
18. Be self-servicing and to assist other workers when required.
19. Undertake any additional duties which will contribute to the smooth running of the S4S services and projects.

FLEXIBILITY CLAUSE
In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties, however, will fall within the scope of the job at the appropriate grade.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing. You will also oversee IRMO’s Community Support service, which manages community enquiries daily at our Brixton centre and through our helpline, provides emergency crisis support and coordinates our Community Interpreting service, as well as connects service users with internal or external support.

About Tadamon
Since the start of the genocide in Gaza, more than 1,300 Palestinians have arrived in Britain, with many hundreds more expected over the coming months and years. Some have arrived via boats and others as students or visitors unable to return home and forced to apply for asylum. Added to this are increasing numbers of students, injured children and their families who have been evacuated directly from Gaza to Britain.
Upon arrival they in dire need of support, but often instead find a hostile environment and a charitable sector decimated by legal aid cuts and with limited capacity to assist them. The support that is available has been provided on an ad hoc basis by the Palestinian community and other migrant and faith organisations.
Tadamon aims to formalise much of this ad hoc support, by extending more structured provisions for supporting the Palestinian community in Britain – particularly newly arrived Palestinian refugees and those from Gaza – through casework, community services, access to legal resources, advice and advocacy, mental health support, cultural connection, employment, language and skills training.
Purpose of the Role
Tadamon is seeking an experienced and compassionate Community Caseworker to join our small and growing team.
The postholder will work directly with Palestinian new arrivals, including asylum seekers, refugees, students unable to return home and evacuees from Gaza. Many of our community members are navigating trauma, loss, displacement and complex immigration processes.

This role does not involve the provision of any regulated immigration advice or medical advice. The caseworker will provide information, advocacy and referrals to appropriately regulated legal and medical professionals.
Tadamon is committed to building internal immigration advice capacity. As part of Op COURAGE, the veterans mental health and wellbeing service, we will be employing a new Veteran Liaison Support Officer. This role will work in collaboration with Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust to support veterans in the mental health pathway.
The successful candidate will ideally be located in the Humber region with the ability to travel where required.
WWTW’s Care Coordination service involves the assessment of needs for your client, the sourcing of appropriate support and the ongoing navigation of that support. You remain the central point of contact as you support your service user to address their challenges, which may include a lack of secure housing, debt, social isolation, relationship breakdowns, lack of education and training, welfare issues or substance misuse.
We are looking for a Veteran Liaison Support Officer (VLSO) who can work within a muti disciplinary team and fully appreciates the patience, resilience and self-motivation that is required to support a dispersed and diverse caseload of individuals. You must be someone who is able to work independently, particularly in managing your time and caseload, whilst recognising that you are one crucial element of a wider team of support who will need to work collaboratively to get the best outcome for clients. We welcome applicants who have experience or specialise in housing, although it is not essential. Experience of working with veterans would be beneficial although again, not essential.

Working with local delivery partners, you will make referrals for support, whilst retaining the overall caseworker responsibilities. *Applicants should ideally reside within Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, Whitby, Scarborough, Ryedale, parts of North and North-East Lincolnshire and possible travel to North Yorkshire, with the ability to travel across the region as required.

Home/Hub Hybrid with possible travel to multiple locations within Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust. The role covers a wide geographical area, including North Cumbria, Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.
You will take the lead in developing and managing meaningful relationships with major donors, creating thoughtful and engaging journeys that bring them closer to our work and the difference it makes day to day. Alongside nurturing existing supporters, you will identify and secure new funding opportunities, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of donors and driving forward this new area of income generation within the team. Working collaboratively across SHP, you will connect philanthropists with our services in a way that feels personal, impactful and rooted in the realities of our work, while contributing to the wider fundraising targets that enable us to keep delivering life changing support.
