Downright Perfect is a volunteer-run charity supporting children with Down syndrome and their families through professional services, resources and community events. We are seeking a passionate Chief Executive Officer to oversee the day-to-day running of the charity and support the Board of Trustees.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting governance and Charity Commission compliance
• Managing finances alongside the Treasurer
• Coordinating volunteers and charity operations
• Managing communications, website and social media
• Overseeing projects, events and family support services
• Identifying funding opportunities and submitting grant applications
Essential skills: experience of running a charity or community group, strong governance knowledge, financial literacy, volunteer management experience, and experience working with vulnerable families or children.
Preferred skills: Knowledge of our charity; understanding or experience of Down syndrome, either professionally or personally; and awareness of the challenges that families may face when supporting someone with Down syndrome.
Requirements: right to work in the UK, driving licence and vehicle, DBS check.

About the Role
Our General Advice Team covers a range of different projects, in this role the Trussel Trust Foodbank Advisor will give advice face-to-face within in foodbank outreach locations and CAL offices across Liverpool. The post holder will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, delivering generalist level advice and information with the ability to travel across locations in Liverpool.
The primary purpose of this role is to Improve financial well-being through:
- Income maximisation through welfare benefits
- Identifying and making applications for grants
- Using budgeting tools and guidance to improve financial literacy
The post holder will need to be digitally aware and be able to record all client contact and outcomes as well as make referrals electronically.

Founded in 1870, the Catholic Union of Great Britain brings Catholic laity and Catholic social teaching to the public square across England, Wales and Scotland. Working in partnership with dioceses, parishes, MPs, MSPs, MSs, peers and Catholic organisations, our vision is of a society in which Catholic laity are informed, equipped and encouraged to engage in public life.
Our work is shaped by three key themes: engagement, education and encouragement. As Director, you will lead the Catholic Union at an exciting moment in its development. You will represent the Catholic Union publicly, strengthening relationships with bishops, diocesan leaders, parliamentarians and Catholic organisations. You will act as a trusted ambassador for the Union, grow our channels of influence and engagement, and work with Trustees, Council and a small experienced team to support the organisation’s continued development.
