Job description

Help us create life-changing experiences for children.

We are looking for an organised, proactive and friendly Office Manager to join our team at Nethercott House in Iddesleigh, Devon.

Farms for City Children gives children and young people who have limited access to nature the opportunity to spend a week living and working as farmers for a week deep in the countryside. They grow, harvest, cook and eat food from the land, take part in real farm tasks and experience the benefits of spending time in nature.

We have welcomed well over 100,000 children to our farms so far, and we believe that these experiences should be a normal part of every childhood.

About the role

The Office Manager provides essential administrative and financial support to the on-site management team, working closely with the Farm School Manager, Farm Operations Manager and Kitchen Manager.

You will have direct responsibility for ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of local administration and finance at Nethercott House.

This is a varied and important role within a busy, friendly and beneficiary focused environment. You will need to be organised, reliable and able to manage a range of priorities while providing a professional and welcoming service to colleagues and visitors.

If you enjoy being at the heart of a team, take pride in getting things right and want your work to contribute to positive experiences for children and young people, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer

In return for your contribution, you will receive:

· Salary of £23,454 per annum (£29,318 FTE)

· 25 days’ annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata

· 6% employer contribution to the NEST pension scheme

· Employee Assistance Programme

· The opportunity to work as part of a friendly team in a unique working environment and residential setting

· The chance to contribute to a charity providing children with memorable and life-changing experiences in nature.
