About the Role

Each year, we reach around 35,000 children and young people through the delivery of our Financial Education Money Workshops in schools, colleges and community groups across the UK. The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, insurance, uni money and much more. Children and young people love having the chance to talk about money, ask questions and think about what they are going to do with theirs!

We are looking to recruit a member of staff to help carry out the day-to-day management of the Workshop content, resources and delivery through our freelance trainer network, as well as deliver some Workshops directly to children and young people themselves. The Hepatitis C Trust runs national projects where peers draw on their lived experience of drug use and hepatitis C to support others. We are now recruiting for a new and exciting role to join our growing Wales team.

As one of two IAG Facilitators, you’ll support volunteers to ensure that the service is running efficiently. Our Step provision service provides two differing support models that offer accommodation-based support and assessment This is for people who are being discharged from the hospital using the discharge to assess model. The Step-Up service provides accommodation-based support which acts on a model to prevent people having the need to go into hospital. Working as part of a small dynamic and enthusiastic team to deliver a safe and supportive service to all residents, identifying need and delivering the case management of clients with complex needs working in partnership with other agencies to create holistic, individualized support and move on plans for clients who are temporarily housed due to their health needs.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

About the Role

Daylight Women’s Day Centre is an exciting new service providing a place of safety and support for women who are long term rough sleepers in London. We want to reach women who have experienced abuse, mental illness, addiction, poor physical health, unclear immigration status and homelessness.  Our support will improve their health and wellbeing and enable them to move away from the streets.

Daylight has been designed based on findings from the CHAIN rough sleeping data for London and the Women’s Rough Sleeping Census. This evidence highlights the importance of single gender services for women who hide from mainstream provision dominated by men.  Daylight will reflect the Connection Theory of Change, building relationships of trust with people who have no confidence in most health and social care services.   Therefore Trauma Informed Care lies at the heart of everything we do.

As part of our creative and committed team, you’ll play a key role in:

• Building trusting relationships with women facing multiple exclusion and who are rough sleeping in London.
• Understanding the needs of the women accessing Daylight, providing harm minimisation support, access to healthcare and treatment.
• Helping women to move into accommodation and away from the streets
• Developing strong working relationships with a wide range of partners, ensuring The Connection’s Daylight service is a highly respected part of the response to women’s rough sleeping in London
• Implementing this pioneering new service and sharing our learning with others

You will have experience in delivering psychologically, gender and culturally informed services to women who are experiencing street homelessness. You will be committed to embedding co-production in our service design and engaging volunteers in service delivery.

Salary: £36,380 - £40,682 (Scale Points 19-25)

The Supporter Relations Team plays a pivotal role in building relationships with our supporters and assisting our fundraising team to raise vital funds that will support our mission to beat blood cancer within a generation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. The main purpose of this role is to deliver excellent customer service to our supporters through written and verbal communication, and ensure efficient administration of donations and maintaining accurate data on our CRM system.

The role of Supporter Relations Assistant would suit someone energetic, organised and confident at communicating. As the first point of contact for our supporters, you will be able to build a rapport with supporters over the telephone, have good written communication skills and be a quick learner. You will also have experience of using a CRM or database, which will be vital when processing donations and recording communications with supporters. The role is varied and fast paced and requires efficiency and accuracy, as well as teamwork.

There are some tasks within this role which must be completed in the office, and therefore you will be required to work within a hybrid team where your week will be split working from home and the office.
