The nuts and bolts of the job:
· The essence of this role is making sure the wonderful people who fundraise in our community are so well nurtured they’ll want to carry on supporting us for years to come. Your focus will be community groups, as well as all areas of community fundraising and beyond.
· You’ll be out and about in the local area, meeting, thanking, speaking publicly, telling stories and spreading the word about the vital work Claire House does.
· We absolutely treasure our volunteers and you will to. You’ll be in this job for less than a week before you’ll be thanking your lucky stars for the legends who give up their time to help us be in multiple places at once. Looking after their needs is an important part of the role because their success is yours too.
· We do our best to make decisions that are backed up by good quality information (data and insight) which helps keep us on the right track. It’s important you have a keen interest in this too. Keeping on top of supporter journeys ensures they get the warm glow they deserve.
· Being able to drive is absolutely crucial to this role, as is the freedom to work some evenings and weekends.

Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Director of Partnerships, this newly created role offers the chance to support the delivery of our new Fundraising and Partnership Strategy (2025–2029) by helping to grow our community of supporters, increase individual digital giving and deepen engagement with corporate partners. We also welcome your ideas and experience in developing how we might approach digital fundraising.
Working closely with the Director of Partnerships, this role will lead on community fundraising development and provide hands-on coordination of partnership activities, from employee volunteering and group sessions to corporate fundraising events and payroll giving. The role will also contribute to communications and marketing content.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships and Engagement
Support the Director of Partnerships in managing and delivering high-quality partnership activities, including:
Organising employee volunteering sessions – including mapping / tracking volunteer hours and activities (where possible)
Organising and supporting group visits, insight events, and work experience placements (as needed)
Work closely with NHP colleagues, Local House Project staff and partners to develop impactful partnership activities
Fundraising activities and events organised by corporate partners
Liaise with LHPs to coordinate partnership activity across different regions.
Maintain accurate partnership records and activity tracking in NHP’s CRM.
Communications and Collaboration
Work closely with the Business Support Administrator and Admin Team to create and share communications and marketing materials that promote partnership activities, volunteering, and fundraising opportunities.
Support the preparation of partnership updates, impact stories, and social media content.
Contribute to internal communications about partnership successes and learning.
Support the rest of the NHP team from time to time, as required.
Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Engagement
Plan, deliver and evaluate a calendar of community fundraising activities and events (third party) to build NHP’s supporter base, ensuring income and engagement targets are met. (We plan to have 2 community fundraising events a year, and support those our corporate partners organise).
Recruit, brief and support challenge event participants, fundraisers and corporate teams undertaking community activities.
Develop toolkits and resources to empower supporters (fundraising packs, JustGiving Guides and risk assessments)
Support the Business Support Administrator to manage the stock, ordering and distribution of fundraising materials to ensure event participants are equipped and engaged.
Support the Director of Partnerships to lead the event logistics (registrations, supplier liaison, risk assessments, volunteer coordination, on the day delivery and post event follow up)
Provide guidance, resources, and encouragement to individuals and groups fundraising on behalf of NHP.
Support the development of our long-term individual goals (one-off donations and regular giving via our website)
Coordinate fundraising communications, updates, and impact stories to strengthen donor engagement and retention.
Track and evaluate community fundraising and individual giving performance and supporter feedback.
Maintain accurate CRM records of donor giving/community fundraising
Support with sharing best practice and resources that enable local teams to engage effectively with partners and supporters

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.
You’ll build strong, meaningful relationships with mid and high-value supporters, providing tailored stewardship that motivates, inspires and maximises their long-term fundraising impact. Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and wider team, you’ll identify emerging opportunities, spot potential high-value fundraisers and help shape the growth of our community fundraising programme. In collaboration with colleagues across the charity, you’ll make sure our amazing community fundraisers feel recognised and thanked for their contributions and are celebrated across our media and digital channels.

Barnardo's is seeking an empathetic and child led individual who can work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment using their strong organisation, communication and time management skills to support children in the secure estate.
This position (Children's Rights and Advocacy Worker – Project Worker 2) is based within Wetherby YOI, York Road, Wetherby LS22 5ED, which accommodates children aged between 15-18 years, who are in custody either sentenced or on remand. Barnardo's refers to Young Offender Institutions (YOI's) and Secure Training Centres (STC's) as the Secure Estate (please note, the location of some secure establishments may mean they are not easily accessed by public transport).
Barnardo's is commissioned by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to provide an Independent Children's Rights and Advocacy (ICRAS) Service to children accommodated in a secure setting. The service is known to children as Barnardo's: Your Rights, Your Voice, and currently works within five Young Offender Institutes, and one Secure Training Centre. The ICRAS service is child led and independent of the secure estate; our service is delivered within Feltham YOI to ensure children can freely access support for a range of issues linked to their needs, rights & experiences of custody, resettlement, and safeguarding. As such this is a child-facing service, and at times involves lone working in the establishments, so we are seeking someone who can see the child, not the offence.
We hold ‘voice' at the heart of all we do, therefore we feel the role is best described by someone who is currently working in this service: “The role is a Children's Rights and Advocacy role, which means it is our job to empower the children we work with and help them to understand that what they think, what they feel and what they want really matters. We can speak on behalf of children to ensure their voice is heard and we also have the opportunity to help them to find the tools and confidence to raise their voices for themselves. The position (Children's Rights and Advocacy Worker – Project Worker 2) is line managed by a Team Manager, reporting to an off-site senior manager. The post holder will need to be able to work autonomously, working to the requirements of the contract and the regime of the YOI. The secure estate is a highly structured environment; as a Barnardo's service we deliver independent advocacy and support for a range of issues, whilst still having to follow and adhere to this structure.
This role includes lone working in this challenging prison environment. It is therefore critical that the successful candidate in this respect is able to follow guidance and policy and is able to take a proactive and individual responsibility to understand and access the support mechanisms in place and encouraged by the service as required.

About the Team
The role will report into the Project Lead: National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator, located in the Programme Operations Team, one of three support teams within the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK.
The Programme Operations Team enables the effective management of the International Programmes Department through ensuring IPD Teams have access to robust high quality management policies, systems, process, tools and capabilities that work to support the delivery of programmes, enable the effective management of risk, and ensure strong financial planning and management.
About the Role
The Public and Private Finance Specialist will provide specialist technical leadership on WASH financing strategy, structuring and investor engagement within the National Water Compact Delivery Accelerator.
The role is responsible for ensuring that priority WASH projects are financially credible, appropriately structured and aligned with the requirements of public, concessional and where relevant private finance providers, enabling formal entry into financing appraisal and investment pipelines.
In this role, you will:
1. Financing diagnostics and strategy (Stage 2)
2. Project prioritisation and financing alignment (Stage 3)
3. Project structuring and investment readiness (Stage 4)
Lead financial inputs into full project development, including:
4. Engagement with financing institutions (Stages 3–6)
5. Public–private interface and blended finance (where relevant)
6. Quality assurance, learning and guidance
