We split our work into three areas, Body, Mind and Spirit. Body - The practical services including showers, laundry, meals, clothing and more ensure we care for our guest's physical being. Mind - our one to one work including assisting guests with benefits forms, housing applications, CV Writing etc. Spirit - Activities around well-being including art, women's group, sports and physical activity, trips out and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the frontline of policy advocacy and development in child health. As Head of Policy and Research you'll be responsible for overseeing the development of our policy positions and all related outputs, as well as the research that underpins our campaigns and advocacy, across England, Scotland and abroad. You will be an integral thought partner to the Director of Strategy & Delivery and wider leadership team on the development of pioneering research concepts that will drive the child health agenda forward. You will be our internal technical expert on food policy, ensuring all of our work is evidence-based and impactful, as well as being our external representative, liaising with leading policy and research experts across academia, civil society, and government agencies. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research

• Work with the Director of Strategy & Delivery and Research Manager to plan research projects and support their delivery, ensuring they support policy calls and reflect young peoples’ experiences.

• Lead the translation of  Bite Back’s research into high quality outputs including reports, briefings and submissions.

• Work with campaigns, communications and content teams to turn research findings into high impact creative communications for a range of audiences.

• Serve as a primary spokesperson for our research including in media placements, speaking slots and government evidence sessions. 

Policy development

• Lead on the development of Bite Back’s policy positions in key and emerging areas, ensuring young peoples’ views and experiences are fed in at every stage.

• Lead the development of all policy outputs including submissions, consultation responses and briefings, ensuring they are evidence-based and reflect young peoples’ voices. 

• Lead the technical policy liaison with stakeholders and experts in the field to gather evidence and critically assess the Bite Back’s positions. 

Evidence

• Keep abreast of new evidence on key areas relating to nutrition, climate and health and consider the implications for Bite Back’s policy and relevant activity.

• Collaborate internally to provide knowledge and advice on policy and evidence issues with colleagues and the youth board.

• Review and sign off key outputs to ensure they reflect the latest evidence and data.

Stakeholder engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with a range of external stakeholders to support Bite Back’s influencing agenda, including with senior government policymakers, academia, WHO and other charities in England, Scotland, and abroad.

• Represent Bite Back on a range of alliances, coalitions and partnerships.

• Deputise for the Director of Strategy & Delivery when needed.

Leadership

• Line management of Research Manager and Impact & Evaluation manager, with a dotted line to the Policy & Engagement Executive and Senior Programmes & Policy Manager for Scotland.

• Operate as a member of the extended leadership team, collaborating with other Heads and the Directors to ensure research and policy considerations are embedded seamlessly into campaigns, communications and programmes.

• Lead the policy and research strategy development for Bite Back in new geographies, providing visionary technical leadership in how we expand to new countries across the UK and abroad.

• Significant experience  of managing food policy work, which has informed and influenced national and local food policy in England. 

• In depth knowledge of the breadth of the food, nutrition and obesity public health landscape and the key challenges faced in the policy environment.

• Deep technical expertise in food policy research, development, and communication - with a strong focus on commercial determinants of health.

• Strong analytical skills, including a good understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods, including creative implementation research techniques. and experience with commissioning external research.

• Ability to synthesise and utilise evidence to support policy development and influencing. 

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate complex issues.

The Barnsley Street Project is a pilot service funded by NHS money following a bid by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). The service comprises of Look Ahead staff, ELFT staff, and Tower Hamlets Mental Health VCSE Alliance, formed of 17 local VCSE organisations. The Barnsley Street Project operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support for people in the catchment area of one primary care network in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. It provides a variety of psychosocial and clinical interventions, including the provision of 6 Hospitality Beds for short term support and intervention.

Support Workers within the Barnsley Street Project will be expected to support individuals requiring support from the local community that walk in to the service and those staying in our hospitality beds. This support may include providing tailored and co-produced practical, emotional, trauma-informed support to individuals with a variety of challenges relating to their mental health. This may include the management of symptoms, social support, navigating benefits and welfare systems, practical skills and signposting to specialist services in the local authority for intensive or specific support as required.

What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
• Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve individual goals

We’re incredibly proud of our hospices. We provide respite, palliative and end of life care to babies and children from birth to five years old with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses, with our team of specialist nurses offering round-the-clock care and support. About the role

Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry to deliver long term sustainable income growth. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

Account manage corporate relationships 

• Account manage newly established and existing corporate relationships, ensuring that each one is appropriately supported and is reaching its full potential, through charity of the year partnerships, sponsorship, staff fundraising, payroll giving and event participation.
• Work with the Head of Fundraising to ensure corporate fundraising offering is consistent across all relationships.
•  Plan and execute events to steward current supporters.
•  Meet and exceed agreed fundraising targets for corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Coventry.
• Identify potential new opportunities to grow current partnerships, including identifying potentially useful networks within each partner organisation, developing powerful ideas, pitches and tailored proposals.

Re-engage past Corporate supporters.

• Use our fundraising CRM and in line with GDPR to ensure accurate and timely recording of stewardship. 
• Working with an income pipeline, ensure accurate and timely financial forecasting, identifying risk to income and mitigating accordingly. 

Collaborative working

• Work closely with staff across the charity to maximise opportunities to engage with high-value audiences, ensuring accurate sharing of information, such as case studies, is relevant and timely.
• Develop strong working relationships with the wider Coventry marketing, fundraising and Coventry clinical team. 
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other members of staff in order to ‘cross-sell’ and maximise fundraising opportunities.

About Woman's Trust

The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. Woman’s Trust is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. About the role

As Counselling Coordinator, you will support the smooth and effective delivery of Woman’s Trust’s specialist counselling services for women affected by domestic abuse, with particular responsibility for supporting crisis and short-term therapeutic provision in East London.

You will coordinate referrals, assessments, caseload allocation, liaison with counsellors, and ensure accurate administrative and clinical record systems. You will maintain safeguarding processes, contribute to service development, and work collaboratively with the Counselling Manager, Head of Therapeutic Services, and external partners to ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, woman-centred support.

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week.

Role description:

We are excited to be seeking a talented and motivated individual to join Southampton Hospitals Charity as our Hospital Engagement Co-ordinator.

As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a vital role in driving supporters and stakeholders to the Charity’s Hub to build a real sense of community spirit and a hive of fundraising activity. This role will provide the right candidate with a rare opportunity to help shape how we engage with donors, visitors, patients and NHS staff in our Hub based in the heart of the hospital.

We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about making a difference and a real people person. This role will be key, as we continue our ambitious new strategy to grow our income, reach and impact. Working across teams, the engagement co-ordinator will help support our key marketing campaigns, fundraising initiatives, events as well as maximising the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care within the hospital.

As Hospital Engagement Co-ordinator, you will be the key link to the Charity and key areas across the hospital, meeting, motivating and inspiring patients, visitors and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

• To maximise onsite donations by driving supporters and stakeholders to the Hub to build a real sense of community spirit and a hive of fundraising activity.
• Collaborate across the charity with our Grants, Marketing and Communications team to co-ordinate charityactivity and implement a hospital engagement and communication plan.
• To work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to identify where collateral can be placed and make sure when items are out of date to remove these and engage with hospital staff to place new posters/flyers within the wards.
• Engage and develop strong working relationships with hospital staff members. · Devise a patient fundraising pack for us in the Hub and across the hospital site.
• Working with UHS staff groups, identifying fundraising champions within the hospital and increase the amount of footfall to the Charity’s hospital hub.
• Collaborate with the community and events fundraising team to recruit and relationship manage hospital staff as part to take part in events.
• To keep up to date records of all collection boxes held within the hospital. · To ensure that all donation processing and onsite administrative duties are carried out effectively and efficiently
• Regularly review and adapt supporter communications, including thank you letters and ensure these are implemented across the organisation for consistency.
• Support with the management of our tap to donate machines, identifying areas around the hospital where we can maximise donations and work with hospital teams to identify areas we can place more.
• To deliver excellent relationship management, ensuring a positive working relationship with hospital colleagues, as well as meaningful and supportive relationships with patient family fundraisers.
• To ensure all activity within team remit complies with the Charity’s values, moral and ethical guidelines, the Fundraising Code of Practice and other relevant regulation and guidance.
• To maintain accurate records of supporter interaction on our CRM system to aid delivery of an exceptional supporter experience and to harness the value of data.

• Support the arts team with the promotion of art workshops and other activities in the hospital.

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Legacy Marketing Manager to join a national children’s charity on a 12month maternity cover. Reporting to the Senior Individual Giving Manager, this role offers the chance to lead a high-value legacy and in-memory fundraising programme during an important period of continuity and development.

As part of this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the legacy and in-memory marketing programme, ensuring strong supporter engagement and long-term income growth. You will lead on campaign planning and implementation across multiple channels including direct mail, telemarketing, digital and free will products, while overseeing budgets, monitoring performance and managing financial and reputational risk.

To be successful as the Legacy Marketing Manager you will need:

• Substantial experience in Legacy Marketing, with a strong understanding of direct marketing and a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns
• Experience of planning, managing and evaluating multi-channel fundraising activity, including responsibility for budgets and KPIs
• Strong stakeholder and agency management skills, with a sound understanding of fundraising compliance, regulation and data protection

This role is to provide maternity cover on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who will enjoy working each day with young people and who will thrive in a frontline, community-based, fast-paced and rewarding role. You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Bridlington. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting  IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

JOB PURPOSE  

The Business Analyst will strengthen how we work by improving processes, systems, and the way we use data. This is a hands-on role, working closely with multiple teams across the organisation to identify challenges and develop solutions that are practical, proportionate, reflect the day-to-day realities of the working environment and are aligned with our values. The role requires someone who is a great communicator, has a consultative approach and can quickly build trust with staff and the senior leadership team. They will be able to balance what is an ideal solution with what is feasible in a charity context. The role will contribute to our mission to prevent and end homelessness by ensuring our systems, processes, and data are aligned with strategic priorities and delivery goals. 

MAIN DUTIES 

• Collaborate with teams across Service Delivery, Finance, People Services, Income Generation, and senior leadership to identify operational needs, understand challenges, and shape improvements  

• Facilitate workshops and consultation events to build a shared understanding of needs and challenges  

• Co‑produce delivery excellence standards with people who use our services, ensuring their experiences and insights help shape how we design, assess, and improve our work.  

• Document and analyse current workflows across and within teams and identify where improvements can be made.  

• Translate organisational needs into clear, actionable proposals for system or process improvements.  

• Lead organisational change arising from the analysis, working with managers and staff to plan improvements, coordinate implementation, and ensure changes are mainstreamed across the organisation.  

• Work with the Data and Evidence Manager to improve data collection and reporting, ensuring that it supports changes to processes and workflows.  

• Support the development of dashboards or tools that help track impact and performance.
