By collaborating with all the friendly teams in The Charity, you will help us achieve our objectives by processing and reconciling financial data to ensure we meet our legal and financial obligations. You’ll ideally have 12+ months experience of working in finance and you may have or be studying for AAT/early stage in which case you will be actively encouraged to learn and contribute, alongside your studies.

With excellent administrative and organisational ability and a strong attention to detail, you’ll also be comfortable juggling a range of competing priorities whilst working to tight deadlines.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Raising Sales invoices

· Reconciling the bank statement

· Posting transactions on The Charity finance system

· Accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments

· Accurate and timely processing of all staff and volunteer expense claims

· Processing income for regular banking

· Actively monitoring and responding to the Finance inbox regarding finance queries from across The Charity.

· Assisting in the month end close process and reconciliations

· Monitoring the early indicator report, ensuring that all income is recorded correctly on the Salesforce CRM

· Posting transactions onto The Charity’s finance system

· Preparing bank account reconciliations

· Providing general support to the Finance Department across all areas of the accounts remit

About The Role
Every story matters here. Some are quiet, some joyful, some hard to tell. As a Video Production Executive at Alzheimer’s Society, you will help bring these stories to life with care, honesty and craft.
You will join a creative team that believes in storytelling as a force for understanding, challenge and change. Working with the Video Production Manager, you will help produce content across social clips, interviews and longer form films.
People come to this role from many paths, whether film or media training, freelance work, community storytelling or self-taught practice. What matters is your ability to tell stories with care, curiosity and skill, and your commitment to inclusive, respectful storytelling.
What you’ll do
You will work across the full production process, from early ideas through to final delivery, supporting both fast turnaround content and longer, story led pieces.
Much of your time will be spent working on location and handling post-production tasks. You will film interviews and documentary style shoots, set up lighting and sound, and help create a calm, respectful space where people feel able to share their stories.
In post production, you will use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to shape engaging, accessible content. You will add subtitles and apply accessibility best practice so our work can reach as many people as possible.
You will also support planning and logistics, including call sheets, scheduling and risk assessments, and contribute ideas that help shape how stories are told and delivered.
Collaboration is central. You will work closely with colleagues across teams, support sensitive interviews with care, and help share finished content across platforms such as YouTube and internal channels.
In this role, you will:

About the role

The Finance & Business Planning Analyst sits at the centre of the Effective Organisation function, providing the financial & operational intelligence that helps us understand how the organisation operates today and where improvements can make the greatest difference.
You’ll analyse performance data, cost drivers and resource use to help the team identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen consistency and support sustainable, evidence-based change. Your insight will help leaders understand options, trade-offs and long-term implications, and ensure recommendations are always financially grounded, responsible and aligned to the Society’s wider priorities.

Working closely with colleagues in Finance, business management, the OE taskforce and People, you’ll help us build a clear, coherent understanding of how we work, so we can design structures, processes and systems that are efficient, effective and future-ready.

What you’ll do

- Provide expert financial & business analysis to underpin organisational effectiveness work, including performance review, business planning and process evaluation.
- Work with the Organisational Effectiveness team to interpret operational data, understand cost drivers and assess organisational capacity and efficiency.
- Develop clear, accessible reporting that translates complex financial information into meaningful insights for leaders and colleagues.
- Build strong relationships across the Society to understand priorities, challenges and opportunities, using this knowledge to develop financial models and scenario analyses.
- Use financial data to identify efficiencies, inform decision-making and highlight opportunities for value for money.
- Produce high-quality, governed financial analysis that is accurate, timely and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Analyse workflows, resource use and financial impact to support efficiency reviews and future ways-of-working proposals.
- Provide modelling and analytical support for Effective Organisation and wider change initiatives.

About you

You’ll bring financial expertise, an analytical mindset and the confidence to translate complex information into clear, compelling insight that strengthens decision-making.
You’ll have:

- CCAB qualification or part-qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience analysing complex financial data and developing financial models and forecasts.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present financial insight for diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ability to work across teams and hierarchies.
- Understanding of the external financial environment, ideally within the third sector.
- Proactive problem-solving, critical thinking and comfort working in changing environments.
- Commitment to inclusion, collaboration, continuous improvement and personal development.
- Business degree or MBA, or equivalent qualification / experience in business administration would be desirable.

- Interest in or experience of science, health or policy, with curiosity about dementia research

Challenge Events Officer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and oversee challenge events from planning through to delivery, ensuring objectives are met.
