We are seeking an experienced and diligent HR Administrator to provide HR admin support to the organisation. You will be responsible for all HR administration, including the production of HR paperwork, and serve as the day-to-day generalist HR contact for all employees. We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities. 

This is part-time fixed-term position, as we review the organisation’s needs in this area, and will be subject to review and possible extension at the end of six months.

As a small charity (c. 35 staff including part-time and casual workers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with more senior HR responsibilities. You'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) for at least two days per week and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Mentor Manager to join our mentoring service, supporting both SSAFA beneficiaries and our network of volunteer mentors.

About the Role

We're looking for an Activities Coordinator to join our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) based in Havering. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service which works with offenders as they are released from prison. It is a community based setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community, depending on their Licence restrictions. 

You will play a major part in reintegrating our residents back into the community by coordinating and delivering high quality activities and programmes which work to support individual needs, working in collaboration with the wider team. Some activities may vary but could include days out and visits, awareness days/weeks/months campaigns, cultural celebrations and other meaningful activities to encourage reintegration, and enhance social skills and community engagement. 

About You

We are looking for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable people in making a change, supporting their rehabilitation and providing opportunities for them to make positive change to their lives, to reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. You will be able to plan and deliver a range of activities suited to individual needs and will be confident in understanding the needs of our residents to do this. We look for:

• Experience in coordinating and/or delivering activities and programmes with people from various backgrounds
• Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team and residents on various areas
• Ability to work creatively and encourage creativity in others

Age UK Waltham Forest is leading Waltham Forest Loved and Wanted Alliance, which includes a mosque, church, synagogue, foodbank, Chinese and Albanian groups. Our Second Home (OSH) is the UK’s youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. We support young people to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home.

Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. Our residentials are often the first step – immersive, relationship-rich spaces where young people connect, reflect and begin to see themselves as leaders. Southall Black Sisters (SBS) is seeking a Strategic Caseworker to help turn the lived realities of Black, minoritised, and migrant women into systemic change.

Rather than providing direct advocacy, this role focuses on working closely with the Communications, Policy & Strategic Litigation Manager and the Advocacy Team to identify patterns of injustice from SBS’s casework, develop evidence-based challenges, and support legal, policy, and campaigning interventions. About the role

The Social Media and Marketing Officer will deliver high-performing digital marketing campaigns that drive supporter acquisition and engagement. Working within the charity’s Policy and Communications team, you will focus on content creation to support a broad range of charity initiatives, ranging from fundraising campaigns to promoting events including our annual conference and signature fundraising event, the Duchenne Dash, and disseminating news to our stakeholders and community.

Reporting to the Director of Policy and Communications, you will lead the execution of digital campaigns, work to strengthen our presence on social media and grow our audience to amplify our communications and marketing activity, produce impactful marketing materials, work with community representatives and ambassadors to develop case studies and support with wider marketing and communications activity.

In the role you will:

• Support the implementation and delivery of multi-channel campaigns that build awareness of Duchenne UK’s work, promote our events, projects and outputs, and support fundraising goals.
• Take responsibility for the charity’s social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok), ensuring consistent, engaging, and mission-led content – planning, scheduling and publishing content.
• Help manage the digital marketing content calendar and coordinate content with colleagues across the organisation.
• Create a variety of digital content, including graphics, videos, reels, stories, blogs, and newsletters.
• Monitor and, where appropriate, respond to, and engage with followers and messages.
• Manage the charity’s regular e-newsletter using tools such as Dotdigital.
• Stay up to date with trends in digital communication and identify opportunities for innovation.
• Create detailed campaign plans, including channel selection, content requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor campaign performance using analytics tools and dashboards, providing actionable insights.
• Ensure staff and volunteers feel informed and inspired through engaging internal updates and on-brand messaging.
• Harness social media channels to raise the profile of the organisation and promote our work and policy positions and grow our audience on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

Person Specification

Essential experience:

• Experience of writing for a range of audiences and using different channels to produce convincing, clear and succinct content across a range of platforms such as socials, blogs, web and print.
• A strong eye for detail and the ability to create content that resonates.
• Experience of using digital and social media for influencing and campaigning purposes.
• Experience supporting the development of and implementing social media strategies to increase engagement, reach and donations.
• Experience managing competing demands, meeting deadlines, and juggling multiple projects effectively.

Essential skills and attributes:

• Highly motivated with a passion for improving the life outcomes of people living with DMD. Proficient with all main Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of patients and families, with resilience to navigate challenging situations.
• Proficiency with digital platforms, content management systems, and marketing tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with people of all ages and backgrounds. 
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
• Good organisational and workload management skills.

Desirable experience:

• Experience delivering impactful social media led fundraising strategies
• Experience running social media presence for an organisation and harnessing social media to promote and showcase events
• Experience using Dotdigital or similar digital marketing software and producing newsletters and other marketing emails.

Desirable skills:

• Graphic design skills and working knowledge of Canva and Adobe design suite.
• Experience with Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.

You will work closely with country teams, senior stakeholders and international partners, ensuring that Lumos’ programmes reflect global best practice while responding to local contexts.

• Provide high-level technical expertise on child rights, child protection and care reform

• Deliver technical advice and capacity building to governments, partners and Lumos teams

About you

You are a collaborative and experienced professional with deep expertise in childcare reform or child protection programming and a strong commitment to children’s rights.

• Significant experience working in child protection, care reform or related international development programmes

• Experience working with governments or large institutional partners

• Strong analytical, facilitation and communication skills

• Experience developing training, technical guidance or policy materials

• Ability to work effectively across cultures and global teams

• Willingness to travel internationally when required

Additional languages and experience working across multiple countries are an advantage.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.
The advertised salary range applies to candidates based in the UK. For candidates exceptionally appointed in another Lumos country office (Colombia, Kenya, Moldova or Ukraine), salary will be benchmarked and aligned with local market conditions and Lumos’ country-specific salary framework.

Contract

What we do

Established in 1996, Carers Leeds is a charity which provides information, advice and support to unpaid adult and parent carers across our city. This includes our Support Line, carers support groups, one to one support and support in hospitals. Some of our services are universal – open to all carers – and some are targeted at specific groups of carers. Our services are provided to communities throughout Leeds.

This role  

 Operational Managers at Carers Leeds play a crucial role in managing a dedicated team and overseeing key areas of our service delivery. The successful candidate will work with other Operational Managers and the Senior Management Team to ensure that the service we deliver is first class.

The postholder will manage a group of Carers Support Workers who provide support and advice to unpaid carers in Leeds. This includes ensuring the smooth running of the support operations and liaising with external partners. They will work with other operational managers to develop our services and to help coordinate our service delivery process.  

The position requires strong leadership skills, confidence in overseeing several different areas of work and the ability to manage change.
