Young Lives vs Cancer (YLvC) help families to find the strength to face everything cancer throws at them.
Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham working in partnership with the national charity YLvC delivers a pioneering project via multi channels (telephone/email/web) providing advice to families of young people affected by cancer.
The project is expanding and we are recruiting a Welfare Rights Benefits Adviser and a Housing Adviser.
The project requires dynamic advisers who can sensitively, engage with families in an often difficult time. Reassure them in terms of options and steps they can take to address the welfare rights/housing issues they are experiencing. Knowing they have options to consider gives them reassurance in a time of uncertainty.
Working with the YLvC team who are located across the UK, advice provided by the project Advisers will also support YLvC social workers, to better help the families and young people accessing the charity support.
Housing Adviser - YLvC-Hgs1
Hours: 22. 5 hours per week equivalent to three days per week
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham Potential hybrid delivery on completion of probationary period

The Direct Marketing Officer will support the development, management, and optimisation of London’s Air Ambulance Lottery and Regular Giving programs which has phenomenal success via face-to-face fundraising. An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. The successful candidate will thrive on collaborative work, excel in presenting compelling narratives which inspire other fundraisers to do the same. An analytical mindset is essential, along with the ability to grasp facts and data to manage projects effectively. Caring Dads exists to change current practice to better include fathers in efforts to enhance the safety and well-being of their children. The practitioner will work directly with fathers with an aim to improve relationships with their children, families, and co-parents/carers. This will include promoting the service to a range of teams across Hampshire and Southampton, to generate programme referrals. You will work closely with Hampton Trust domestic abuse perpetrator service to identify client suitability for the Caring Dads programme.
As the Caring Dads Practitioner, you will be required to deliver the Caring Dads and Accredited Domestic Abuse Prevention Training (ADAPT) Programme. This includes one to one support and group work. Groups are delivered on weekday evenings; you will be required to deliver one group work sessions per week.
You will undertake treatment and risk assessments of individuals causing harm in their relationships; this includes active case/risk management of families living with domestic abuse. Although this position is based in Ashurst, you will be co-located into social work teams across Hampshire three days per week, with an aim to providing support and advice in identifying suitable families for the Caring Dads and ADAPT programme.

We have an opportunity to work for our Adult Carers Team as an Adult Carers Support Advisor. You will provide emotional and practical support to Adult Carers in the London Borough of Bromley, aligned and working closely with the integrated care networks.
- To offer emotional and practical support to build resilience for carers on a one-to one basis.
- To provide support face to face, over the phone and in group settings.
- To develop and run local support groups.
- To actively target those carers facing multiple issues, most likely to fall into crisis
- To support carers to access and where appropriate complete Carer’s Assessments
- To build and maintain a network of contacts with local service providers
- To organise and participate in training events for carers and professionals.
- To organise and participate in events for carers and or to raise awareness of carers needs, such as but not limited to Carers Week and Carers Rights Day
- To run an active caseload within the KPI requirements of the Bromley Well contract.
- To input cases on to the Charity log system accurately
- To ensure that services are accessible to carers.
- To participate in the provision of news and the production of the Carers newsletter
- To collaborate with other Bromley Well partners, including Mencap/MIND etc. to ensure effective appropriate referral pathways for quality service provision.
- To abide by and take part in the development and review of policy and procedure for the Carers pathway.
- At all times to maintain the professional integrity and reputation of the Charity and represent their main interests in any dealings with other bodies, groups and individuals.
- Attend staff meetings, supervision and organisational events as required.
- Collect case studies to help demonstrate AGE UK Bromley and Greenwich’s Adult Carers Support service’s impact.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the purpose and remit of the post.

As the Senior Events Fundraiser, you will be responsible for delivering a range of third-party challenge events. Working with a team this role will deliver some exciting events across the year to raise £2m+ and have the opportunity to introduce new fundraising activities. This role will steward fundraising teams of significant sizes across a wide portfolio of events including runs, cycling and challenges.
To be successful as the Senior Events Fundraiser you will have proven experience of working on large scale fundraising events. This person will be comfortable building relationships with internal and external stakeholders and be able to deliver excellent supporter stewardship. You will ideally have experience in marketing and promoting events, and be able to work with a team to develop and deliver successful projects.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in their Edinburgh offices.
