Icon, the Institute of Conservation, is a charity and professional membership organisation dedicated to safeguarding cultural heritage and championing the value of conservation.
The Marketing and Communications Officer supports the delivery of Icon's strategic objectives by developing and delivering integrated marketing and communications activity that strengthens member engagement, grows membership, promotes the value of conservation and raises Icon's profile across the heritage sector.
About the Role
The post-holder will run the day-to-day delivery of communications across digital and print channels, ensuring that all communications are audience-focused, engaging, accessible and aligned with Icon's strategic priorities. Working closely with the Marketing and Membership Manager, the post-holder will deliver integrated communications campaigns aligned to Icon’s Advocacy Pillars and Business plan.
This role is based at Icon’s office in Clerkenwell, London. Icon operates a hybrid working policy, which requires staff to be in the office at one to do two days per week for part time positions, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder.
The post-holder will report directly to the Marketing and Membership Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Grants Officer to support the delivery of our grant-making programme and help empower young people facing deep-rooted inequality to create lasting change. Working across the full grants cycle, you will coordinate key administrative processes, maintain accurate records, analyse and report on grants data, and support the planning and delivery of events.
The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring efficient systems and high-quality support for applicants, grant recipients, and colleagues.
As a Grants Officer, you will:
- Coordinate the administration of grants and events across the grants programme.
- Maintain and improve grant management systems and processes.
- Provide timely support and guidance to applicants and respond to enquiries.
- Ensure accurate grant records and documentation for compliance, audit, and impact reporting.
- Collect, monitor, analyse, and report on grant-making data.
- Support consistent use of Salesforce across the team.
- Assist with event logistics, travel bookings, invoice processing, and general team administration.

Help shape the next generation of Anglican advocates through a unique global programme of training, mentoring and action. Join the Anglican Communion Office to establish the Young Adult Anglican Advocacy Programme a hybrid training and mentoring scheme. The initiative will give selected young adults access to a year-long programme of online training modules, mentoring opportunities and in-person attendance at UN events, to equip them to advocate for social and political change in their own context and in line with their faith. The focus of this three-year role is to create a thriving alumni network who can work for change worldwide.
Annually:
- Work with the Anglican Communion Advocacy team and other stakeholders, including the Public Engagement Team, to invite applications to the programme.
- Shortlist candidates and arrange interviews. Organise online training modules.
- Organise travel, accommodation and participation in UN events.
- Work with Anglican Communion Public Engagement team to share stories from the programme.
- Gather feedback through monitoring and evaluation systems.
In the first year:
- Work with stakeholders across the Anglican Communion to finalise teaching content.
- Liaise with civil society and church groups to ensure good coordination with their advocacy programmes.
- Establish simple monitoring and evaluation systems to gauge programme effectiveness.
- Develop recruitment, marketing and event attendance processes for first participants.
In the second year:
- Establish processes to ensure the programme runs smoothly on an annual basis.
In the third year:
- Arrange pattern of regular meetings for programme alumni.
- Work with stakeholders on programme development for future years.
