About the role

As Public Affairs and Influencing Manager, you will lead our political engagement work in Northern Ireland and Ireland. You will know how policy change happens — and how to bring the right people along. This isn't just about having the right contacts (though that helps). You will play a key role in helping us to build on our well established position in Northern Ireland, and develop our approach in Ireland, shaping our strategies, partnerships, and our approach to making change happen. This role is for someone who can map the landscape, identify who holds power and influence, and design smart, creative strategies to get us to impact — all while staying grounded in the voices and needs of children and families.

In this role, you will: 

• Build and manage relationships with political and policy stakeholders to raise Save the Children's profile and influence key decisions.

• Develop and deliver public affairs strategies rooted in a clear analysis of power, opportunity and pathways to change.

• Design evidence-based policy proposals that reflect the realities of children and families and translate them into action for decision-makers.

• Collaborate with colleagues across media, participation, and partnerships to align influencing efforts and amplify our collective impact.

• Represent Save the Children to politicians, officials, coalitions and media, with confidence and credibility.

• Support engagement with children and families to ensure their voices inform and drive our advocacy.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience developing public affairs strategies to influence political agendas and deliver policy change.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills — you can identify who matters, why they matter, and how to influence them.

• Ability to turn evidence and insight into compelling policy positions and clear, accessible communications.

• A collaborative mindset, with experience working across teams and sectors and excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Understanding of the political systems in Northern Ireland and/or Ireland — or the ability to quickly get up to speed.

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised Creative Workflow Manager who can support our small but ambitious creative team.

Working with a range of agencies, freelancers and other skilled creatives, you'll be responsible for managing the overall control, status reporting and delivery of our creative projects and content production, while ensuring workflow runs smoothly and assets are on brand.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in our Role Details document on our website.

• Managing and triaging all creative requests coming into the team and ensuring new requests are dealt with in line with internal SLAs
• Ensuring small projects and creative updates are kept on top of and delivered quickly and efficiently either in-house or through use of one of our freelancers
• Liaising with stakeholders and creatives to ensure projects meet objectives and are on brand
• Signing off on small projects and assets, ensuring they meet brand guidelines and follow brand approval processes
• Providing cost estimates and timelines for creative projects, highlighting any risks and dependencies and agreeing any essential information
• Briefing the appropriate freelancer, agency or volunteer for the job
• Maintaining an up-to-date internal status sheet of live briefs and work in production using Monday dot com

JOB PURPOSE

The main purpose of this post is to provide comprehensive financial management for Bradford Hospitals Charity, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and effective management of the Charity's financial position.

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the charity through its exciting transition to independence, establishing appropriate financial systems, controls, and procedures to ensure the charity can operate effectively as an independent organisation. This will include developing new financial governance structures and helping to shape the charity's financial strategy for the future.

The Finance Manager will lead on all aspects of the Charity's financial management, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making by the Charity Director and Trustees. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards, Charity Commission requirements, and NHS guidelines.

The postholder will maintain a close working relationship with the Trust finance team to benefit from their expertise while ensuring the Charity's specific financial management needs are met during and after the transition to independence. The Finance Manager will be supported by the Deputy Director of Finance and the Chief Financial Officer, who will provide guidance on compliance with Charity Commission requirements, financial governance, and wider strategic financial management to ensure the role is well-connected within the broader financial structure.

Working collaboratively with fundraising and operational colleagues, the Finance Manager will help maximise the use of charitable funds to benefit patients and the Trust.

JOB DIMENSIONS

The post will have responsibility for the Charity's financial systems, including managing and monitoring all charitable income and expenditure, financial forecasting, producing monthly Financial and management accounts, annual accounts, and maintaining effective control systems.

A key aspect of this role is managing the Charity's portfolio of trust funds, which consists of various restricted, designated and unrestricted funds. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all donations are correctly allocated to the appropriate funds, that expenditure from these funds complies with donors' wishes and charity law, and that fund balances are accurately tracked and reported.

The postholder will carry out their duties in line with departmental accounting policies, and with reference to Trust Standard Financial Instructions (SFIs) & Standing Orders (SOs), as well as charity-specific financial regulations and requirements.

The Finance Manager will provide expert financial advice to fund advisors, Charity staff, and the Charity Director, taking initiative to achieve agreed results and working independently on a day-to-day basis within clearly defined policies, protocols, procedures, and codes of conduct. While having significant autonomy in managing the charity's finances, the postholder will not work in isolation but as part of a supportive network that includes senior finance leadership within the Trust.

This is a key role driving the delivery of the Education Programme of a leading mental health charity focused on supporting the systems around children and young people. We are looking for a compassionate, flexible and focused professional with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of managing a complex and substantial portfolio of work, who is eager to work with the CWT team to achieve meaningfully.

The Education Programme Manager’s workload includes supporting a small Education team to deliver specific projects; delivering key organisational projects directly; managing programme level work; liaising with the Education trainers; and supporting Education-related work across the Trust – from fundraising to reporting. We anticipate this role will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow into the staff team's ‘education specialist’, by keeping abreast of key sector developments, while retaining a keen understanding of when further specialist input would be helpful.

The role would suit someone with a driven interest in ensuring our work is as impactful as possible, someone who is a ‘doer’ and a broker of relationships, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of people including clinicians and those with lived experience.

• Work with the Head of Programmes and a wide range of stakeholders, including trainers and clinicians, to lead and support on the planning and delivery of a range of projects, from initiation to close, including establishing and managing risk, quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation measures. 

• Prepare reports on Education programme’s progress for a variety of stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, the CEO and senior managers, the staff team, funders and other stakeholders. 

• Work in collaboration with colleagues with lived experience of mental health difficulties, ensuring their voice is central to our work. 

• Ensure that considerations of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility are incorporated meaningfully across the Education programme delivery.

• Support and retain oversight of the Clinical Lead’s quality assurance of the Education trainers on an annual basis, or other frequency as agreed. 

• Support CWT’s Fundraising team to identify potential funding opportunities within the Education programme, and at times support bid development by developing viable project proposals swiftly.

• Develop and maintain a strategic overview of ‘the Education landscape’ so as to:

• advise the CEO and Head of Programmes of key developments that will help shape the Education programme’s future direction (alongside freelance experts who are further embedded into specific areas within education), and

• to represent the Trust externally and developing our reach, impact and credibility in new areas, so as to help CWT achieve the growth strategy laid out in our Strategic Business Plan (currently 2025-27).

• Work with other teams within the Trust to identify opportunities for cross programme working to develop engagement with our information, training and services. 

• Manage a small Education team to deliver effectively and efficiently; while supporting their development, embodying a collaborative and supportive leadership culture in line with the Trust’s values. 

• Approve Education programme expenditure as per a delegated budget, including querying unexpected expenditure and highlighting anomalies to the Finance team; and supporting budget development and reforecasting processes by offering a key ‘front line’ perspective on priorities and costs.

About Slough Foodbank

Slough Foodbank is a charity whose object is the prevention or relief of poverty in the United Kingdom, mainly in Slough and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by providing emergency food supplies to individuals in need, as motivated by the principles of the Christian Faith.

Slough Foodbank believes that no one in the community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. In 2024, we gave out 12,147 food parcels.  Sadly, this is almost double the number in given out in 2020.  In addition to providing food and basic toiletries, we try to understand the situation of the people referred to us so that we can signpost them to other organisations where appropriate, in order to give a helping hand through a crisis.

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager is a key support for the church’s leadership and heads the staff team providing management over key operational and missional areas of the church’s activities.

This leadership role supports the ethos and ministries of the church and its mission to be a church for the community - discovering Jesus, sharing God’s love, and caring for those in need.

A vital aim for our church’s work in the local community is that our staff relationships, our Venue ministry, our Christian hospitality and how we use and share our building should all reflect God’s character - showing compassion, generosity, and kindness.

The role has a lot of different components, so we’re looking for someone who sees all aspects of this job as an expression of the church’s mission to proclaim the Good News and will facilitate and serve the congregation, the staff and the volunteer teams as they creatively explore ways to express our Christian ethos through the life and ministries of the church. People land on our shores through no fault of their own, suffering the trauma of displacement. An experienced fundraiser who is looking to make an impact is what LEAH is after. We are over 42 years old and have ambitions to serve our beneficiaries into future decades. 

It is a tough fundraising climate and so we are increasing capacity by establishing a 2nd Fundraising Manager position. We want someone who is not only an experienced and successful fundraiser but also someone who is bold and brave, able to hit the ground running.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)

• You will manage a multi-disciplinary team of therapeutic workers, counsellors and night workers providing support and leadership in all areas of delivery. 
• You will ensure that service delivery is in line with recommended professional good practice and Phoenix Future’s policies & practices and that the reasonable expectations of purchasers and service users are met.
• You will maintain a recovery-orientated approach to all undertakings and a demonstrable commitment to continued professional learning & development.
• As part of the management team, you will deputise for the Residential Service Manager as required.
• The role is based at Ophelia House, and you will be expected to take part in a on call rota to support the staff and service delivery.

• Experience working in a CQC registered service or similar.
• Experience of managing teams or internal staff.
