The Role
The Commercial Operations Manager plays a crucial role in driving financial sustainability by generating income and managing commercial activities through venue hire, event planning, merchandise sales and securing strategic long-term partnerships, enhancing existing revenue streams, and identifying new opportunities.
The position will ensure the charity maximises its commercial potential while staying true to its mission and values.
About you
We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years' experience in an income generation role, including venue hire and event management, ideally in a charity setting.
You will be organised and planful in your work with the ability to project manage activities with strong budget management skills. You’ll have the ability to communicate well and work with a variety of individuals and will be able to negotiate and influence well. You need to be comfortable working independently and able to manage multiple different projects at pace.

The role and your key responsibilities

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. Reporting to the CEO, we are seeking a Senior Income Generation Manager to be an essential lead across all areas of the Trust’s income streams, with a focus on developing our current corporate partnerships, explore and build new potential partnerships and maximise our fundraising potential through a private event, fundraising challenge, individual giving and fostering new ideas alongside the events calendar. We have been commissioned by the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit to deliver the Another Chance programme in the City of Manchester and North Trafford, supporting young people aged 14-25 involved in group-based serious violent offending to leave a life of violent crime behind them. We are now recruiting Programme Leads to provide 1:1 mentoring support to these young people and to help them access positive support and social services to prevent further offending.
We are particularly looking for people with experience of working with young people aged 14-25 at risk of criminal involvement and exploitation, and their families.
The relationships you cultivate with the young people you work with are at the heart of our success – so recruiting the right people is paramount. Our programme leads work with significant autonomy and authority and must embrace responsibility and be accountable for their work. They work collaboratively alongside young people, operating as a mentor as they empower them to develop self-esteem, become resilient and engage with their own future. They give each young person the time, the confidence and skills to make positive choices and engage with their future life plans.
