The Research and Impact Lead role brings scope for dynamic collaboration across the organization, and creativity in applying research and evaluation expertise to a range of opportunities. The Research and Impact Lead will shape, drive and deliver a range of learning activities. They will be a voice for evidence-based decision making within BookTrust, ensuring that we put the needs of children, families, and our delivery partners at the heart of our work.
In this role we are looking for an experienced mixed methods researcher to oversee our MEL approach, develop and deliver new learning and funding partnerships and contribute to our portfolio of cross departmental learning activities – working to deliver research activities or supporting our team of in-house researchers through providing steer and quality assurance.

Role Overview:
The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Learning and Development Coordinator is an essential role within the Learning and Development Team and the Programmes Team more generally. The staff will closely work and coordinate with other members of the L&D Team as well as Programme Managers, Coordinators and Officers, Associate Trainers and Consultants, etc. The L&D Coordinator designs and adapts RedR UK training materials as well as providing technical L&D support and quality assurance to the broader Programmes Team. In particular, this role will focus on building and strengthening RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Ensure that the quality of our L&D services and material is maintained, improved and expanded:
- Contribute to guiding, standardising and quality assuring the conversion of learning/training material, content and courses or course modules to e-learning
- Contribute to updating, maintaining and expanding RedR UK L&D and training material and resources, store & categorise them, and make them accessible
- Contribute to the update and maintenance of RedR UK’s e-learning and open-source learning platforms
- Provide quality assurance of project outputs or deliverables and assist in drafting high quality reports
- Contribute to the development or updating of RedR UK’s L&D and eLearning strategies
Support the delivery of RedR UK's demand-led services to a consistently high standard:
- Provide an end-to-end service - designing, supporting, quality assuring and evaluating the delivery of learning interventions, including developing new training and capacity development services (F2F, online facilitated and eLearning), particularly in connection with RedR UK’s self-paced eLearning offerings
- Coordinate with the L&D team on planning and scheduling of L&D activities and liaise with colleagues across RedR UK to ensure uniform high quality of services
- Where appropriate, design and/or deliver learning/training services directly to the participants
- Where appropriate and agreed by line manager, lead the execution of selected projects, especially L&D projects
- Assist in ensuring that necessary monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) data is gathered and analysed on all activities
Support Network of Associate Trainers (ATs) and L&D Consultants to effectively deliver RedR UK's services:
- Support the capacity building of ATs in L&D and technical Quality Assurance related matters, including introduction to RedR UK training methodologies, innovative training techniques, new training tools, etc.
- Contribute to the recruitment, assessment and onboarding of prospective new Associate Trainers (ATs) into the trainer pool and/or on specific projects as required
- Coordinate the work, performance, and planning of Associate Trainers when working under the L&D Unit. Quality-assure their work when working under Programmes Hubs
Ensure that RedR UK services meet the needs of the sector and work to expand our reach:
- Keep up to date with developments in learning with a focus on eLearning technologies and platforms, as well as other training methodologies and issues in the humanitarian sector and advise RedR UK programme teams accordingly
- Contribute to identifying and exploring possibilities for expanding the range of services offered by the organisation and source funding for their implementation
- Support business development efforts and proposal preparation by ensuring that the L&D component of the methodology is appropriate, services offered are in line with requirements, likely to achieve high impact and adding overall value to the programme
- Represent RedR UK at selected external events and forums, as appropriate
- Be the Key Account Manager (KAM) for selected Key Accounts (clients and partners) in line with RedR UK’s KAM System

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Essential
- Experience in design of self-paced and blended eLearning programmes, including experience with Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Vyond and other animation/design platforms including a strong understanding of accessibility requirements
- Experience managing Learning Management Systems, especially Moodle
- Experience and understanding of learning and development approaches, adult learning (andragogy) and participatory learning methodologies, including designing and conducting LNAs, designing, delivering and evaluating face-to-face and online facilitated events and revising/adapting training material
- Experience assessing learning, familiarity with the Kirkpatrick Model, and experience tracking, evaluating and reporting on learning data

Foundations for Outdoor Learning
This programme is a comprehensive, long-term support package for schools wanting to embed Outdoor Learning into their curriculum and practice. Support may include teacher CPD, mentoring, and advice on how to optimise use of your school grounds. We do this on your school site, with some supported visits to local green spaces and our own learning locations.
Enriching Education
This programme uses The Ernest Cook Trust’s own learning locations - woodlands, farms, rivers and other natural landscapes - together with our Outdoor Learning leaders to support a school’s Outdoor Learning provision. This may be a school’s first experience of Outdoor Learning, or it may enhance and extend existing programmes. Either way, we aim to inspire all participants to spend more time
outdoors.

The Role In Brief
This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. Mae ein buddion yn cynnwys 30 diwrnod o wyliau blynyddol, 2.5 diwrnod braint, oriau/patrwm gweithio hyblyg, , cynllun beicio i'r gwaith a phensiwn cyflog terfynol (6%).
Am Dysgu Creadigol
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru a Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru'n cydweithio ar brosiect pwysig i wella ansawdd dysgu creadigol yn ysgolion Cymru. Pennwyd rhaglen uchelgeisiol o weithgarwch yn Dysgu Creadigol trwy'r Celfyddydau – cynllun gweithredu i Gymru.
Pennodd y Cynllun strategaeth weithredu ar y cyd sydd wedi galluogi Cyngor y Celfyddydau a Llywodraeth Cymru i gydweithio i roi argymhellion adroddiad yr adolygiad o'r Celfyddydau mewn Addysg (Smith 2013) ar waith. Mae'r cynllun wedi gweithredu'n effeithiol dros yr 8 mlynedd rhwng 2015 a 2023 ac mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cytuno i barhau i weithio mewn partneriaeth â Chyngor Celfyddydau Cymru hyd at 2025.

Mae yna 6 Arweinydd Prosiect (gan gynnwys y swydd wag hon) a rhyngddynt maent yn cwmpasu amrediad y dyletswyddau a ddisgrifir yn y disgrifiad swydd. Maent yn gynorthwyo Rheolwr y Rhaglen wrth ddatblygu polisi a strategaeth mewn perthynas â’r rhaglen Dysgu Creadigol trwy’r Celfyddydau, a’i chyflwyniad llwyddiannus. I gael disgrifiad llawn o ddyletswyddau a chyfrifoldebau, cyfeiriwch at y disgrifiad swydd.
Amdanoch chi
Bydd gennych chi angerdd dros y celfyddydau ac addysg a’r weledigaeth i reoli a gweithredu mentrau sy’n datblygu cynllun dysgu’r Celfyddydau a Chreadigol. Bydd angen i chi allu cyfathrebu’n dda a chydweithwyr â rhanddeiliaid a gweithio mewn perthynas â’r bydd Addysg, byd y Celfyddydau a/neu dysgu creadigol. Yn ddelfrydol, bydd gennych hefyd wybodaeth gadarn am dechnegau rheoli prosiect a dulliau sicrhau ansawdd.

Gweithiwn drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg ac mae rhuglder yn y Gymraeg (ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig) yn hanfodol ar gyfer y rôl hon. Ar ôl cael eich penodi gallwn eich cefnogi chi i ddatblygu a gwella’ch sgiliau iaith ymhellach ac i gynyddu eich hyder wrth siarad ac ysgrifennu yn y Gymraeg.

Project Lead (Creative Learning through the Arts)
Full-time, 37 hours per week
12-month contract (maternity cover)
Grade D: Starting salary of £42,589
Location: This role is based at the Arts Council of Wales office in Colwyn Bay. We are currently working in a hybrid way.
Our benefits include 30 days annual leave, 2.5 privilege days, flexible working hours/pattern, cycle to work scheme and a final salary pension (6%).
About Creative Learning:
The Welsh Government and Arts Council of Wales are collaborating on a major project to enhance the quality of creative learning in Wales’ schools. An ambitious programme of activity has been set out in Creative Learning through the arts – an action plan for Wales.
The Plan set out a joint implementation strategy that has enabled the Arts Council and Welsh Government to work together to implement the recommendations contained in the Arts in Education review report (Smith 2013). The plan has been successfully delivered over the 8 years from 2015 – 2023 and the Welsh Government has agreed to continue to work in partnership with the Arts Council of Wales until 2025.
About Project Leads:
There are 6 Project Leads (including this vacancy) and between them they cover the range of duties described in the job description. They support the Programme Manager in the development of policy and strategy in relation to the Creative Learning through the Arts programme, and its successful delivery. About you:
You will have a passion for the arts and education, as well as the vision to manage and implement initiatives that advance the Arts and Creative Learning plan. You will need to be able to communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders and work in partnership with Education, Arts and/or creative learning. You will ideally also have sound knowledge of project management techniques and quality assurance approaches.
Welsh Language
We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is essential for this post. We can support you to develop and improve your language skills.
