Responsibilities of our Programme Manager - Technical:
- Lead, plan, and deliver strategically significant technical programmes across the organisation

Job description - Partnerships and Income Manager
Salary: £38,000 per annum

Location: Home-based (travel costs paid for meetings)
Annual leave: 27 days FTE per annum plus Bank holidays (22 days FTE per annum under the Four Day Week)
Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Training will be provided and you will be expected to continue to refresh your training and to keep up use of the efficiency tools. Annual leave is also pro rata’d. On a 20 hours a week contract, you would be spending 16 hours a week at work including the equivalent of 2 one hour lunch breaks, and this can be worked in a flexible pattern, such as two full days or more, shorter days.

Partnerships and Income Manager Role Description
The Partnerships and Income Manager role involves engaging a range of stakeholders to help generate greater impact and income for Waterwise. The Partnerships and Income Manager will be responsible for researching and identifying potential new business opportunities; conducting outreach to new and existing stakeholders to encourage collaboration; building and maintaining relationships with Waterwise partners, sponsors and members; and assisting with developing winning proposals for funding, in order to deepen the impact we make with individuals, communities and businesses across the UK. The charity offers a flexible working environment, with remote working and occasional travel to their London office for meetings.
This role will take the lead on the day-to-day operational delivery of fundraising campaigns, including campaign planning, financial management, working across teams and departments and line management. In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families’ programme to support Primary School staff, parents and carers in increasing pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside of the classroom. 2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we will expand into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Therapies Assessor and Service Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. Working closely with the Immediate Support and Debrief Manager who is responsible for leading the immediate support and debrief service, you will be responsible for ensuring that our ongoing services are trauma-informed, consistent and delivered to a high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.
This role will oversee the existing ongoing support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England and will contine to grow the team as the charity expands. Services include counselling, complementary therapy, play therapy, support events, coffee mornings, wellbeing walks, online events and our beautiful respite house, Ty Uchaf. You will manage a team of nine individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. Main duties:
