About the role
We are seeking to recruit an advocate for adults with learning disabilities, who will:
- Deliver 1-1 advocacy casework on a broad range of issues that enables people with learning disabilities to express their views and wishes, understand their rights and options, communicate with professionals and address issues they face.
- Coordinate Speak Out’s Drop-in advocacy service, providing time limited 1-1 advocacy within drop-in sessions.
- Develop peer advocacy at drop-in sessions.
About you
The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be able to manage a complex workload and work independently within a framework of supervision. Experience of advocacy or work with vulnerable clients is essential. Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and knowledge of learning disability services is an advantage. A full induction and training will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to hold the national qualification in independent advocacy, however this can be undertaken once in post.

1-1 Advocacy Team Leader

About the role
This is an opportunity to join our charity in the role of 1-1 Advocacy Team leader.
You will be responsible for leading our 1-1 advocacy team, supporting a small team of advocates to deliver a range of advocacy to adults and young people with learning disabilities.
You will oversee delivery of casework, referral management and monitoring, ensuring Speak Out advocates provide high quality support within a framework of good advocacy practice.
You will also hold a case load supporting people across the service to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
Our 1-1 advocacy service is tailored to meet individual needs, offering the following support:
· Community issue advocacy - advocacy cases cover a range of issues, including accessing social care and health services, housing issues, wellbeing and relationships.
· Specialist advocacy – support for parents with learning disabilities going through child protection proceedings and for young people with learning disabilities in transition to adulthood.
· Statutory advocacy – advocacy case work under the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act (RPPR)
· Drop-in advocacy service - immediate, short term 1-1 advocacy is available during weekly drop-in sessions at our central base in Brighton

About the role
As a Foundation we are committed to learning together with others and reflecting and acting on what we learn. We learn to improve our understanding about how to approach the complex issues we are trying to address, to examine how our funding relates to the social change we want to see, and to improve how we work and fund.
The Learning & Insight Officer will play a key part in delivering our learning, monitoring and research activities, and we want the successful candidate to be able to develop their skills and interest within the role. They will work closely with the Head of Learning & Insight, wider Grants team colleagues and others across the Foundation to gather insights from our grants and wider work. Main Responsibilities
• Work with colleagues to design and implement systems for the LEF to collect data and to capture and share learning in a systematic way that reflects our values and our commitment to Power, Cuture and Inclusion.
• Coordinate a timetable of activities for LEF to learn from its grants and direct work (such as regular feedback surveys and internal reflection sessions).
• Work with colleagues to collate and analyse evidence from organisations we fund to identify key insights and learning (such as reports and notes from grant management calls).
• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight and wider grants team colleagues to prepare our grants data for publication (for example through 360Giving and as part of the Funders for Racial Equality Alliance (FREA) Audit)
• Support the LEF to communicate insights in accessible and engaging ways.
• Work with colleagues to prepare key insight reports and data for a range of audiences such as colleagues, trustees or other funders.
• Work with colleagues to run internal sessions with staff and trustees to reflect on our processes (what is working well, less well and what we can improve about how we work) and understand the progress the LEF is making towards its strategic objectives.
• Work with colleagues to run online and in-person events to bring together the organisations and people we fund to reflect and learn from one another.
• Support the development of a ‘culture of learning’ within the LEF and with grantees and
• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight to commission and manage external contractors for particular pieces of work (for example, research briefs or learning partnerships).
• Provide administrative support on tasks, such as scheduling meetings.
• Carry out such tasks as the Director of Grants & Learning or Head of Learning & Insight may from time to time deem necessary for the effective and efficient functioning of the Foundation.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
Teaching
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions, workshops, and tutorials in line with the curriculum requirements and the needs of individual learners, ensuring learning objectives are met.
- Assess learners’ abilities and identify areas for improvement, tailoring teaching and learning methods and resources accordingly.
- Develop and deliver consistently engaging and interactive sessions, utilising a variety of teaching techniques and materials to enhance learners’ understanding and engagement with the subject/topic.
- Set and mark assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to learners to support their learning and improvement.
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, actively promoting learner participation, motivation, and confidence in professional development.
Administration
- To identify materials and equipment/resource needs to assist the provision of teaching and learning by students.
- Maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines.
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non-accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff.
- Providing feedback on appropriate documentation for example observation, IQA reports etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Proven successful track record of planning and delivering high quality teaching of accredited and non-accredited provision in a relevant subject and at appropriate level(s).
- Experience of teaching adult learners of mixed abilities and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role.
- Experience of devising course outlines and schemes of work.
- Experience of assessing and recording progress, both in accredited and non-accredited learning and supporting learners.
- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team.
Desirable
- Understanding of the RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement in non-accredited learning) system.
- Experience of working/teaching refugees and or asylum seekers.
- The ability to speak another language.
Qualifications:

- Hold a recognised teaching qualification such as CELTA, DELTA or TESOL or

- Oversight of access to effective Peer Group Support across relevant teams and monitor its impact.

They are now looking to recruit a dynamic Senior Learning Hub Coordinator to oversee their alternative education provision for children and young people aged 16-25 with a disability and complex learning needs.
Our client’s inclusive Learning Hub provides a stimulating and varied timetable where students thrive in a small group setting. As Learning Hub Coordinator, you will manage and coordinate all services within the Learning Hub, ensuring they are of high quality, innovative and safe, meeting the learning needs and outcomes of the students and users who access them. You will plan the delivery of services and learning topics and will assess student places, ensuring that student’s needs are met by delivering unique learning experiences with evidenced achievement of outcomes. You will provide support to a dedicated team of frontline workers, as well as volunteers, and will work in partnership with a range of agencies and local organisations to promote the service.
To apply for this role you must have significant experience of working with children and young people with additional needs in an educational setting or provision, and will hold a minimum Level 3 professional qualification in Childcare, Disability, Health or Social Care or Education. You will have experience of creating learning support plans and outcome-based work and will have experience of dealing positively with young people with complex health needs and challenging behaviour. You will have experience of managing services, staff and volunteers, and will have a working knowledge of EHCP process and post 16-25 transition pathways.

Action Foundation was established in 2005 to assist asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Tyne and Wear. We aim to empower refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants to live independently through a commitment to supporting them to achieve self-sufficiency and integration into the community.
The Language and Learning service has developed and enhanced its support towards better integration to include three streams of support which include employability workshops and advice, digital skills courses alongside non-accredited ESOL classes. We are looking for a full-time project manager to lead our staff and volunteer teams in the delivery of these streams of support.
You will line manage the Project Officer(s) responsible for different aspect of the service work and support them with the delivery of in-person classes and where required any online classes. You will also play an important role at a strategic level in developing partnerships and networks with formal and informal providers of ESOL, employability and digital skills to promote and enhance the service.

Reporting to HR Learning and Development Lead. The purpose of this role is to provide support with development programmes, training initiatives, and carrying out administration duties.
The Learning and Development (L&D) Facilitator plays a key role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of our employees by coordinating and implementing effective training programs.
This role supports the planning, organisation, and execution of L&D initiatives, ensuring that employees have the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the company’s overall success.
The L&D Facilitator works closely with internal teams to deliver engaging and impactful learning experiences, tracks training progress, and provides administrative support for all L&D activities.
Role Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging content to our employees across the business, and you will play a key role in driving forward our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training through learning programs working closely with our EDI Co-Ordinator.
The role also comes with administration responsibilities, and you will be responsible for scheduling courses and working on our learning management system (LMS). You will also be involved in projects such as delivery of induction programmes, safeguarding training and equality, diversity and inclusion training
Through continuous learning and development efforts, this position aims to foster a culture of growth, development, and employee engagement within the organisation.
This role is a hybrid role and there will be an expectation to travel to London once or twice a month, which is inclusive of your salary. If you are required to travel further, then this will be covered by expenses. The role is offered on a part-time basis of 28 hours over 4 days a week, this will be open to discussion.

- Experience in developing pre-coursework documentation guides for training
- Previous experience in a similar L&D role, with a track record of successfully implementing training courses.
- Ability to think creatively to design engaging and impactful training solutions.
- Comfortable with experimenting and trying new approaches to make learning more interactive, enjoyable, and effective.

The Third Age Trust is seeking to appoint a Senior Volunteering Officer who will:
