As a young organisation, we've used modern technology to move quickly and get remarkable products into teachers' hands. We've proven what's possible. Now we're maturing, making sure the foundations are as strong as what's built on top of them. We see this role as central to that change.

You'll work with engineering, product, and research colleagues to build confidence in using observability principles that deepen our understanding of how teachers and pupils use our products, and help us keep improving them. We work in product squads alongside designers, researchers, and education experts, regularly releasing new features and improvements so teachers and pupils get quick and easy access to the highest quality learning resources.

Alongside other members of the platform engineering group, you'll enable squads to move more quickly by optimising tooling and implementing automations, including the effective and safe use of AI. You'll drive the creation and adoption of engineering standards across code, deployment, security, observability, and monitoring. And you'll be a key driver of automation, working with the rest of the platform team to improve the overall developer experience.

You'll need a good understanding of platform engineering in a SaaS-heavy environment and the value it brings to an organisation. A solid grounding in development practices, security fundamentals, and infrastructure operation matters. But specific technical skills are less important to us than a passion for automation, an ability to understand complex systems, and a pragmatic engineering approach.

��What you'll be doing:

• Leading continuous improvement of the observability, performance, and reliability of our web applications (Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node) and serverless functions (Google Cloud Functions, Cloudflare), deployed on Vercel and Cloudflare

• Helping teams maintain high service quality by promoting a culture of quality across engineering and product, and enabling squads to use SLOs and SLAs effectively

• Contributing to the strategy and evolution of our monitoring, logging, and reporting solutions so developers can resolve problems quickly and get meaningful insights into application behaviour

• Identifying and implementing automations that speed up development, improve security, or raise the quality of what we deliver

• Working in cross-functional, product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation

• Deputising for other members of the platform team and taking on broader responsibilities as needed

�� What we're looking for

You'll have strong professional experience working with event-driven architectures using serverless technologies such as Google Cloud Run, AWS Lambda, or Azure Serverless.

Beyond that, you'll bring:

• Demonstrable experience collaboratively designing and implementing observability, monitoring, and reporting solutions for complex cloud infrastructures in a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure), including solutions for squad-specific use cases

• Confidence reading and maintaining web application code, with the ability to design and build small apps, preferably in JavaScript or TypeScript

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and a working familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools

• A collaborative approach, comfortable promoting and leading collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and able to frame work in terms of impact.

You'll want to contribute in all areas, not just your own lane. You'll be comfortable working at pace across a range of digital systems, always looking for ways the team can keep getting better. And you'll be excellent at remote working, building relationships and managing your time effectively.

Specific technical skills matter less to us than a sound engineering mindset and the ability to bring others with you.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

GFA World's mission is to help people know Jesus and experience His love in places where there is little or no Christian presence. Every donation, prayer, event, communication, and ministry activity relies on strong systems and faithful stewardship behind the scenes. 

This role helps ensure that GFA World remains financially sound, legally compliant, operationally effective, and a healthy place for staff to serve. You will help steward the resources entrusted to us by our partners, support the staff who carry out the ministry, and maintain the systems that allow our work to grow sustainably.

As a small and highly collaborative team, we do not have separate departments for finance, human resources, compliance, facilities, health and safety, or operations. Instead, we rely on people who are willing to take ownership, learn new things, solve problems, and help strengthen the organisation wherever needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating and improving systems, spotting gaps, and ensuring that important things do not fall through the cracks.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance & Accounting (25%)

• Maintain online accounting system (QuickBooks Online) and other related financial systems.
• Maintain and improve accounting structures, nominal ledger, and chart of account.
• Review, maintain, and automate transaction processing workflows.
• Upload and reconcile donations and other financialtransactions.
• Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Oversee pension administration and HMRC submissions.
• Prepare budgets and reports in collaboration with leadership.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and identify variances.
• Assist with year-end processes and external audits.

People & Culture (25%)

• Administer HR system (Employment Hero) and maintain accurate staff records.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and off-boarding processes.
• Maintain employment documentation, contracts, and policies in accordance with GDPR.
• Coordinate staff training and professional development records.
• Support performance review and appraisal processes.
• Help preserve and strengthen GFA World's mission, values, and staff culture.
• Assist staff and managers with HR-related administration and processes.

Compliance & Governance (25%)

• Maintain awareness of relevant employment, charity, and workplace regulations.
• Review organisational policies and recommend updates where needed.
• Maintain compliance records and organisational documentation.

GFA World is a Christian ministry, and prayer is central to who we are and how we serve.

Oak provides school teachers and pupils with the highest-quality curriculum and lesson resources across all subjects and age groups.

In this role, you will join our engineering team to lead delivery across our product squads and platform teams. You will keep priorities clear, dependencies visible, and work flowing, so teams can deliver in step with each other and with Oak's wider goals. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and platform colleagues, and you'll play a key role in shaping how Oak plans and delivers as we grow.

Our engineers work in cross-functional product squads alongside designers, researchers, and education experts, regularly releasing new features and improvements that provide teachers and pupils with quick and easy access to high-quality learning resources.

• 3+ years' experience in a delivery management, project management, or Scrum Master role

• Experience identifying and managing cross-team dependencies, keeping interconnected workstreams aligned without creating unnecessary process overhead

• A track record of resolving delivery risks and priority clashes between teams, and managing competing stakeholder needs

Jimmy’s Cambridge are seeking a Director of Performance.  This is a completely new post, designed to radically transform assurance and accountability ahead of licencing and regulatory compliance within our sector.  We have always prided ourselves on being ahead of the curve within the sector, whether that’s through innovation, widening our offer, or resourcing our professions, and now again, we are getting ahead of the curve to drive up standards and lead from the front. 

The Director of Performance will hold the organisation and its staff to account for providing exceptional service and gold standard accommodation to our residents.  The post holder will line manage the Head of services, Head of Finance and People, Head of Fundraising, Communications and Communities and the Project Officer, holding them to account for delivery of business and service plans, effective and efficient running of portfolios and functions, high levels of Return on Investment (ROI), stakeholder satisfaction, regulatory compliance and commissioner and contract delivery.  The post holder will utilise data, evidence and insights to assess performance and assure the CEO and Board that Jimmy’s Cambridge is run effectively and efficiently for the benefit of our residents.

Key duties

• Respond to physiotherapy referrals
• Carry out assessments, provide advice and recommend interventions to manage the symptoms in patients with M.E./C.F.S. and related conditions, working with a whole person approach, and involving family/carers where appropriate
• Provide written reports for the person with M.E. and others involved in their care with consent of the patient
• Participate in clinical team meetings at least once a quarter (approximately 1 hour)
• Participate in quarterly physiotherapy team meetings (approximately 1 hour)

• Arrange and undertake consultations in the most appropriate manner for the patient - remotely by either telephone, Zoom or email.
• Record consultation details (date, length of consultation, charge) on Action for M.E.’s internal tracker for invoicing purposes
• Consider choices and in collaboration with the person with M.E., agree attainable and realistic goals, however small, during assessment
• Offer a selection of gentle progressive interventions to facilitate an improvement in their quality of life

Purpose of the role:

This role demands a flexible approach to deliver in-depth and complex services to businesses, alongside a sharp focus on mitigating operational, data, and reputational risks. It also requires a confident communicator with a keen eye for detail, but with the ability to step back and see the bigger picture. The role requires an individual with a proven track record of managing, coaching, and delegating effectively to a diverse team while protecting workloads and well-being.
