We are looking for an experienced People Manager to work within a senior leadership role within HILS, responsible for the effective day-to-day delivery of HILS' People Strategy across teh organisation, and ensuring HILS' people practices support safe, ethical, service delivery in environments supporting vulnerable adults.

Reporting to the Director of People, the People Manager leads the People Team and acts as the primary operational adviser to leaders and managers on all people-related matters, ensuring consistent, legally compliant, and values-led people practices across all HILS locations.

The People Manager translates people strategy into operational delivery, provides authoritative leadership on employee relations and workforce matters, and ensures that people systems, processes, and behaviours actively support organisational performance, sustainability.

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. Senior Peer Support Workers and Peer Support Workers, who have direct lived experience of mental health issues, are working on in-patient wards in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Wandsworth to provide recovery-focused peer support to people as they leave hospital and journey towards living independently in the community.

We are seeking a Peer Support Worker who has personal lived experience of mental health challenges. This individual will act as a role model for service users, utilizing their own recovery journey to instil hope and resilience. By sharing their life experiences and the lessons learned throughout their recovery, they will motivate others.

The Peer Support Worker will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team within the Unit, assisting in-patients in developing essential skills and coping mechanisms, while promoting overall wellness through strength based and non-directive conversations. They will provide both practical and emotional support, facilitate access to community resources to help individuals maintain their independence while ensuring their wellbeing.

Additionally, this role includes supporting service users after discharge in the community for up to 12 weeks, aiding them in fostering independence within their local community, connecting with various agencies, enhancing life skills, providing guidance related to employment or educational opportunities and improving their ability to manage challenges effectively to prevent re-admission.

This position requires building connections with service users through shared experiences of mental health challenges, making lived experience a crucial requirement for applicants.

The St Matthew’s Project is looking for a passionate and experienced Wellbeing and Outreach Worker to help strengthen our trauma-informed approach and support young people through our Fit 4 Life programme.

This role is at the heart of our work with young people facing disadvantage and navigating key transition points in their lives. You’ll deliver 1:1 and group wellbeing support, work closely with families, contribute to staff wellbeing, and help shape a supportive, trauma-informed environment across the organisation.

The Peer Support In-Reach Service is a partnership between several local Minds. You will support them with the transition into the community for up to 12 weeks, helping them to connect with community resources to ensure they are well-supported in the community and working towards their goals.

About the Role:

As a Complex Lives Navigator, you’ll be on the front line of supporting people experiencing rough sleeping, delivering the Reach Out offer directly to individuals who may be disengaged from services. You’ll work proactively to reach some of the most vulnerable people in our community, providing specialist drug and alcohol support where it’s needed most.

You’ll be a key member of our established Rough Sleeper Outreach team, taking part in early‑morning outreach and acting as a trusted point of contact for people seeking support with substance misuse.

• Develop and implement person-centred support with individuals with complex needs.
• Recognise needs regarding substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, personality disorders and other psychological and behavioural issues.
• Establish supportive, trusting and professional relationships with service users using a Trauma Informed Approach.
• To maintain complete, accurate and up to date client records.

Everything you do will have the aim of ensuring that people with lived experience have their say over the help they receive and have the opportunity to shape housing and homelessness services.

About you

You will need experience of facilitating involvement groups and other activities to support and involve people with lived experience in Shelter’s work. You have a strong understanding of how lived experience of housing issues can impact a person and so ensure a safe and inclusive space where everybody can contribute. The ability to plan and co-ordinate involvement activities with local teams, with several activities running at once is important as well.

You will have a flair for developing successful relationships with colleagues across an organisation, as well as external local organisations and partners. Also, you have some experience of presenting information verbally and in writing and IT literacy including case management systems and Microsoft Office.

The aim of the Norfolk Homelessness Solution Forum is to bring about system change for homelessness support in Norfolk, by ensuring that the people’s views are transferred into policies and practices that truly support and serve the community. The Forum helps with the sharing of best practice, identifying service gaps and developing strategy to reduce homelessness and rough sleeping.

We have been providing housing advice to the people of Norfolk for almost 30 years, with specialisms in housing legal advice and advocacy. Our team work out of our Community Hub in Norwich and across Norfolk in community settings. We work in partnership with other local services to address interconnected issues which may impact on our clients’ ability to keep a home. This also includes advice for residents of Kings Lynn in partnership with Broadland Housing and Norfolk Citizens Advice.We also deliver housing right awareness sessions to empower local communities to take action on housing issues.

Our NMP’s are integral members of our multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams, delivering recovery orientated alcohol and drug intervention services. Offering care for presenting clients, prescribing and/or making amendments to prescriptions of opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications, they take a lead role in developing the prescribing clinic, acting as a point of contact for other workers and partner agencies around prescribing issues.

Responsibilities

About the role: 

• Assess, diagnose, plan; implement and evaluate treatment/interventions and care for service users 
• Prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness appropriate to service user needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and local protocols, and within scope of practice 
• Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist the service user in complex, urgent or emergency situations seeking immediate advice and direction from the Clinical Lead if needed 
• Assess, update, and refer service users for BBV vaccination and immunisation programmes. Support service users to adopt health promotion strategies that promote healthy lifestyles 
• Communicate effectively with service users and carers, anticipating barriers to communication and recognising the need for alternative methods of communication to overcome different levels of understanding, cultural background and preferred ways of communicating 
• Maintain effective communication within the organisational environment and with external stakeholders, acting as an advocate for service users and colleagues where necessary 
• Produce accurate, contemporaneous and complete records of consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures 
• Assess effectiveness of care delivery through self and peer review, benchmarking, and formal evaluation. Be actively involved in the annual appraisal system 

About you: 

• Qualified pharmacist with current GPhC registration and two years’ post qualification experience OR First level registered nurse with a current PIN AND three years post qualification experience 
• Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber 
• At least one year’s relevant and recent experience of working within substance misuse treatment 
• Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions 
• Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports as necessary 
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively, verbally and in writing 
• Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to demonstrate easy movement between services, if necessary

About the Service(s):

The Listening Lounge is a collaborative service delivered in partnership by Mind in Salford, Start Inspiring Minds, and the Home-Based Treatment Team (HBTT) within the NHS Mental Health Trust. The service operates as a weekday drop-in provision, currently available from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday, for individuals experiencing a self-defined mental health crisis.

The service is staffed by Recovery Workers and Peer Support Workers, with on-site managerial support to ensure safe, responsive, and high-quality delivery. It provides a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where individuals can access immediate, person-centred support, with a focus on listening, de-escalation, and connecting people to appropriate ongoing support where needed.

Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (SNMHT) is a community mental health service delivered in partnership between Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH), Mind in Salford, Six Degrees, Wellbeing Matters, and START. The service is jointly funded by GMMH, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and Salford Primary Care Networks.

SNMHT is a multidisciplinary service that brings together a wide range of professional and lived experience roles. The team includes occupational therapists, nurses, recovery workers, psychiatrists, social workers, peer mentors, and a comprehensive psychology team.

Working collaboratively, the service supports adults with mental health needs within the community, offering recovery focused support. We do mental health support differently. Our approach is rooted in people’s strengths, skills and aspirations. About the role:

We are seeking a Peer Support Worker who can draw upon their lived or living experience of mental health difficulties to help support service users in a Listening Lounge and within Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (SNMHT), formerly known as Living Well.

The successful applicant will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and will:

• Take part in case discussions, offering a valuable non-clinical, lived-experience perspective
• Co facilitate group work with service users
• Work alongside keyworkers to provide practical, relational support to individuals accessing the service

This role offers a meaningful opportunity to use lived experience to empower others, promote hope, and support recovery within a compassionate, collaborative service.

About the Service(s):

The Referral and Assessment Hub (RAH) is a new and exciting addition to mental health support, having launched in January 2025. It serves as the front door to mental health services in Salford, ensuring that all community referrals are responded to in a timely, consistent, and transparent way. The service aims to ensure that individuals receive the most appropriate care and treatment, in the right place and at the right time. The RAH operates Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.

Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (SNMHT) is a community mental health service delivered in partnership between Greater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH), Mind in Salford, Six Degrees, Wellbeing Matters, and START. The service is jointly funded by GMMH, NHS Salford Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and Salford Primary Care Networks.

SNMHT is a multidisciplinary service that brings together a wide range of professional and lived experience roles. The team includes occupational therapists, nurses, recovery workers, psychiatrists, social workers, peer mentors, and a comprehensive psychology team.

Working collaboratively, the service supports adults with mental health needs within the community, offering recovery focused support. We do mental health support differently. Our approach is rooted in people’s strengths, skills and aspirations. By placing these at the centre of our work, we support individuals to aid their recovery, build resilience, and stay well as active members of their communities.

About You and the Role:

The successful applicant will work across both the RAH and the Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Service (SNMHS). This dual role is designed to support service users whose care is transitioning into SNMHS, providing brief ‘waiting well’ interventions to promote wellbeing and ensure continuity of support during this period.

The role will also involve working collaboratively with the team to identify service users who may be experiencing difficulties engaging with mental health services, and exploring what additional support can be offered to improve engagement and accessibility.

The Living Experience Peer Support Worker will work as part of, and alongside, the Referral & Assessment Hub (RAH) team and Salford Neighbourhood Mental Health Service (SNMHS), ensuring peer mentoring is embedded as an integral part of the service user journey.

Person Specification 

Essential

• Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role, ideally as a COO, Head of Operations or Director of Operations in a charity, social enterprise or purpose-driven organisation.

• Demonstrable track record of building and improving operational infrastructure: systems, processes, policies and ways of working that make organisations more effective and resilient.

• Proven people management experience, including line management of senior staff, performance development, recruitment and team culture-building.

• Strong financial literacy, including experience of budget management, grant compliance, financial reporting and working with a board finance function.

• Experience of leading or supporting governance processes, including board reporting, risk management and compliance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex operational information into clear, accessible reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

• A genuine, demonstrable commitment to racial equity and an understanding of the specific systemic barriers faced by Black professionals, artists and communities.

• The emotional intelligence and interpersonal skill to lead with care, build trust quickly and navigate complex relationships under pressure.

• The resilience and adaptability to thrive in a small, fast-paced, mission-driven organisation where the work is varied, the stakes are high and no day is the same.

Desirable

• Experience of working in or with the music industry, creative industries or arts and culture sector.

• Familiarity with Arts Council England funding frameworks, charity law and the regulatory environment for non-profit organisations.

• Experience of implementing or managing a CRM system, project management platform or other operational technology.

• Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) frameworks and how to embed inclusive practice into operational systems and culture.

• Experience of leading an organisation through a period of significant change, transition or growth.
