We are looking for an experienced, proactive and creative Community Engagement Coordinator to strengthen and deepen our relationships in Lewisham. Help us to advance community stewardship, raise awareness about the benefits of street trees and increase tree canopy cover equitably. The Coordinator will manage our volunteer programmes, including recruitment, retention and bringing new ideas for engagement. Responsibilities include promoting and supporting our tree planting initiatives, as well as identifying new opportunities for community involvement. The role involves collaborating with team members and stakeholders to help achieve STfL’s mission of creating a greener and healthier urban environment.

£35,000 pro rata

0.8 FTE, 4 days per week

Reporting to Executive Director

Responsibilities:

• Volunteer management including recruiting, developing and retaining volunteers

• Be the ‘go to’ person to provide support for our Area Reps and Street Reps and develop a peer-to-peer network to share best practice across volunteer

• Raise awareness around trees, particularly in areas of low tree canopy cover and where we are currently underrepresented

• Work closely with the tree care team to support volunteering and training opportunities including watering, formative tree care, auditing

• Building networks and developing meaningful relationships with community groups and individuals, working at a hyperlocal, neighbourhood level 

• Spend time listening to groups and gathering feedback to understand their emotional responses and perceptions to trees 

• Work with communities and partner charities to map formal and informal networks within local neighborhoods

• Use creative approaches to evaluation, collecting and analysing impact data including volunteer surveys, 121 conversations and case studies to measure outcomes, particularly related to health and wellbeing 

• Reaching new audiences: building relationships with diverse communities  and work in partnership with community groups to co-design tree planting schemes in public realm

• Community stakeholder engagement - engaging and cultivating relationships including community groups, Parks groups, local charities, tenants and residents’ associations

• Organising in-person community engagement activities and training sessions for local residents including tree walks, citizen science sessions, workshops, networking opportunities and the sharing of resources 

• Integrate equality, diversity and inclusion principles into all aspects of our work 

• Maximising our communications impact: promote our work, raise awareness and increase our reach. Communicate regularly with our guardians and volunteers

• Create content to contribute to our social media, newsletter and website, for example: develop inspiring case studies about our work and beneficiaries. Help gather content at in-person events to support storytelling

Experience:

• Experience in the charity sector in community engagement or development

• Practical experience in successfully planning, coordinating, and delivering community-based events, workshops and activities

• Experience engaging with communities in London

• Experience in recruiting, training, supervising, and motivating groups of volunteers

• Experience in building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders, such as resident groups, schools, local authorities and charities

Job Title: Community Project Officer

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £22,155.20 to £34,913 (FTE £27,694 to £43,642). Context and purpose of role

By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.

The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

• Deliver the Ramblers Getting Started element of the Walking Together Project

Job Title: Night Support Coach 

Location: Bermondsey, Close to Surrey Quays station. (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Please note that this service has step free and lift access.

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 20:00 - 09:30 which includes 12.5 hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break, approximately 3 shifts per week. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays so flexibility will be required.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in helping residents who have recently left prison settle into our residential setting and take positive steps toward reintegrating into the community. You will work closely with residents to create tailored support plans that reflect their individual needs and help them move toward successful rehabilitation. By identifying each resident’s needs, goals and skills, you will support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service is committed to focus on public protection and effective risk management.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Protecting and promoting the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times.
• Engaging with residents throughout the night to ensure they are meeting their license conditions. This includes planning activities such as movie nights, game nights, and other suitable events to keep them involved and motivated.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

About You

We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for making a difference and helping to create safer communities for everyone. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. You will have insight into criminal justice settings and the ability to connect with people from varied backgrounds who face multiple and complex challenges. We look for adaptability, proactiveness, and confidence within your own skillset and ability to drive meaningful impact. We also look for:

• Understanding the housing and social challenges faced by people with multiple and complex needs.
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
• Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

Position

The MSF UK Digital Team is made up of 10 specialist staff who act as an internal agency and provide expertise, project management, training and support to all other departments. We are part of a global network of Digital specialists within MSF which shares knowledge, expertise and best practice, coordinated by the International Digital Engagement Unit based in the International Office in Geneva. 

The International Legal Department (ILD) of MSF is currently the only intersectional department of MSF. Primarily dedicated to support MSF operations, the ILD rationalises legal support and provides high-level legal advice to all MSF entities; its field of expertise is varied, including international humanitarian law (IHL), medico-legal issues, medical research, labour law, commercial and administrative law, trademarks and international governance. The ILD is divided in six units specialised in different areas of law. The ILD Unit 1 aims to provide legal support on IHL and Protection of humanitarian space.

Job Purpose:

As the Digital Publications Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the digital publication of the updated Practical Guide to Humanitarian Law, written by Françoise Bouchet-Saulnier and available on the website in four languages. This includes managing editorial workflows, coordinating with author and translators, and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of content. The position ensures the Guide is produced to a high standard and effectively disseminated to its target audience. 

The role is responsible for ensuring the effective dissemination and understanding of the organisation’s handbook by leading communications around updates and coordinating the development and facilitation of training sessions. This includes managing the publication of content on the organisation’s website in relevant languages and promoting updates through a range of channels such as webinars, discussions, social media and newsletters. 

We’re looking for a Social Media Administrator to join the WildFish Communications and Marketing team.

WildFish is a charity dedicated to conserving wild fish and their aquatic habitats. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys creating content, feels passionate about the positive impact of social media, and is keen to develop their skills in digital storytelling.

You’ll help to bring campaign messaging to life across our social media platforms, engage audiences, and run the day-to-day management of our accounts. 

Key Responsibilities

● Content creation and planning: Draft and design engaging visual content (images, short videos, graphics) for social media. Maintain the social media content calendar.

● Channel management: Schedule and post content across social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube).

● Community management: Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; flagging or responding where appropriate. Engage with followers and build community.

● Platform maintenance: Account administration, including bio updates, ensuring profile assets remain timely and relevant, and maintaining brand consistency across platforms.

● Performance tracking: Analysis performance metrics and create reports.

● Trend spotting: Stay current with social media trends and platform updates, keeping an eye on emerging patterns in the environmental space.
