Individual Giving Fundraising is at the heart of the Trust’s Fundraising Strategy, and with ongoing investment to grow our supporter database and accelerate income generation, it's a truly exciting time to join our Fundraising Team.
The Direct Marketing Executive will be a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team, supporting the team and its activities as a whole, but also owning and becoming the expert in specific areas in line with the Fundraising Strategy. Specific areas of focus currently are around digital acquisition, and with a particular focus on ensuring detailed tracking and reporting are in place for all campaigns across the team.
This role sits within the Individual Giving and Legacy team reporting to the Development Lead. It also works closely with the wider Acquisition & Development Manager, the wider Fundraising Division, and cross functionally with other teams within the organisation.

The role
Cruse Bereavement Support is a charity providing bereavement information and support to grieving people across the UK. We are looking for an organised and motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to join our small marcomms team and help increase the reach and engagement of our digital marketing and communications channels.
You will be responsible for helping us reach more bereaved people, volunteers and supporters with our content and digital products. - Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure

They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials.
You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.
The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.
As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.
Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.
Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

About the role
This role will be responsible leading on the digital communications and content strategy focussing on developing fundraising messaging and digital influencing campaigns in an integrated way across all related channels to drive forward our ambitious fundraising and campaigns plans.
As part of the award-winning Fundraising and Brand team at Refugee Action, you will help create and implement bespoke supporter journeys across multiple online platforms with the aim of significantly raising our online presence, increasing donations, inspiring change and supporting the organisation’s growth. You will be a critical bridge between the Campaigns and the Comms & Digital teams, ensuring that our strategies are aligned and insights based. You will have the opportunity to create content, marketing materials and strategically manage social media and web operations for Refugee Action at a critical and exciting time.
To succeed in the role you will need to demonstrate:
- Proven ability to lead strategic digital content creation and understanding of the importance of emotional storytelling to successful fundraising and campaigning.
- Strong creative content development and strategy skills, including experience with Adobe Creative Software or similar (demonstrable video and image editing skills).
- Knowledge and experience of developing, delivering and managing specialised digital activism plans for campaigning.
- Knowledge and experience of campaigning and activism: knowledge of campaigning methods and tactics and a good understanding of what motivates people to take action.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
