- Oversee the quality of external relationships, engaging with specific stakeholders as needed to form strategic alliances
- Identify key areas of policy focus where the BES is able to add value to national conversations around biodiversity and climate
- Co-ordinate the policy team on consultation responses, parliamentary inquiries, policy reports, and other policy documents and meetings.
- Lead the Policy Team to prioritise work across the three nations, rising to the challenge of responding to opportunities as they arise, and ensuring that we are always working to strategic effect.

Summary of Role
Join Muslim Aid as the Director of Operations to steer our strategic alignment and operational excellence across global initiatives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Coordination and Project Delivery
- To work closely with the Director of Strategy and Programmes to coordinate and support the delivery of all our programmes to achieve the outputs and outcomes agreed with our funders.
- To support with event management both online and face to face including providing technical support to participants on platforms for online training, including driving all courses hosted on Zoom, and providing excellent customer service to all engaging with our work.
- To support evaluations through providing and analysing data to use in reporting to funders and stakeholders.
- To lead on programme administration and funder updates, including tracking key data on platforms including Arts Council Annual Survey, Julie’s Bicycle, Illuminate and Salesforce.
- To support with the administration of programme activity by attending and writing minutes for key meetings, drawing up programme contracts, aiding with diary management, filing, liaising with key personnel, and conducting phone or zoom conversations as needed.
- To support with the financial administration of our programmes through invoicing and managing participant expenses.
- To take part in training and attending any networking events as required, including potential out-of-hours events such as our 3-day residentials, to represent Cause4 externally when required.

Marketing and Communications
- To oversee and manage the day-to-day communications of our programmes, including managing our dedicated programme inboxes, liaising with participants, trainers and partners as needed.
- To set-up and publicise key events, projects and training opportunities on all programme websites and relevant platforms, including Eventbrite.
- To support the Programmes team to achieve public-facing training sales targets for our programmes through implementation of the marketing plan.
- To support with communications and marketing by curating social media content (SmarterQueue), programme newsletters (Mailchimp), graphics (Canva), and blogs.
- To support updating the website on a regular basis with support from the web designer and to be a coordinating lead and contributor in writing for key publications such as the digital Now, New and Next publication.
- To research and develop our audiences and networks, in line with our priority areas, regularly updating our databased to ensure key contacts are in place.
- To lead on the analytics of our marketing data, collating vital information from SmarterQueue, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google Analytics.
This is a remote (home) working role, with opportunities to meet with the Cause4 team at regular events throughout the year in London, Cambridge, and other locations.

- Some existing project management experience in the arts, heritage or culture sectors, or an equivalent role where your skills can be transferred to the above responsibilities.

About Us
Founded in 2007, KHULA Education is an award-winning South African NGO working in partnership with rural schools and underserved communities in deep rural South Africa to ensure children and youth can access a quality education and economic opportunity.
Over the past 17 years, KHULA has transformed schools that were previously failing into schools that compete at the national level; supported hundreds of young people to access tertiary education opportunities; and helped hundreds more on the path to employment. Each year, we support over 6,500 children, youth and more than 300 teachers.
About the Role
KHULA Education is seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraising leader to lead KHULA’s fundraising and communication efforts in the UK and South Africa. The postholder will join us at an exciting time and help us to continue our growth trajectory which has seen our annual budget increase from £250,000 to £1 million in the past several years. Supported by the South Africa based CEO, and working closely with the UK Board of Trustees, the postholder will be joined by a new Fundraising Officer who you will line manage.
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial individual with strategic vision who will play an active part in developing KHULA’s future fundraising strategy. 70% of the role is focused on fundraising directly for our work, 30% on managing KHULA’s communications including donor newsletters and social media content (this may evolve with the recruitment of an Officer).
Key Responsibilities
- Steward, retain and grow the support of our existing donor portfolio: KHULA has an existing portfolio of donors including trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors, individual and regular givers, the majority of whom are based in the UK or South Africa. The post holder is responsible for managing these relationships, including bespoke reporting for trusts and major donors, leading donor meetings and involving our Board and CEO as appropriate.
- Donor prospecting and new business: researching and generating new donor leads as well as acting on opportunities provided by our Board and others, converting prospects into supporters of our programmes.
- External communications: creating our quarterly e-newsletter to a database of ~2,000 supporters, managing our social media channels and the Annual Report, in addition to other ad hoc external communications.
- Fundraising innovation: leading on innovation in our fundraising approach, including creative campaigns to increase donations/recruit lapsed donors, developing products and offerings whilst considering cost effectiveness and ROI. Of particular interest is how to harness the giving potential of guests who are exposed to KHULA Education’s work when they visit Fugitives’ Drift Lodge in Rorke’s Drift.
- Financial management and admin: maintaining our donor database, working with the CEO to prepare our annual budget and fundraising forecasts.
Person Specification
Ideally you’ll have held a role with a similar scope of responsibilities around fundraising and communications, however you don’t need to have held a director level role before. Experience in a smaller charity and team is beneficial as you’ll need to be comfortable with both the strategic development side and inputting into wider planning, as well as being a leader who is willing to role up your sleeves and ‘do’.
We are particularly interested to hear from candidates who demonstrate most/all of the following attributes:
- A proven track record of personally delivering income of at least £1 million per year, including new business
- Experience in a fundraising leadership role and confidence in working alongside and advising at board level
- Experience in successfully fundraising from trusts, foundations, major donors and corporates, with experience in other areas (events, legacies etc.) also welcome
- Excellent proposal and donor communication writing skills (written samples of previous work will be requested)
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with a largely virtual team
- Comfortable acting in the capacity of charity ambassador, establishing new relationships and identifying new funding opportunities
- Ability to travel to occasional donor and board meetings (x3 per year), in/around London and annual trip to South Africa for 1-2 weeks.

Purpose of job:
As the Head of Creative Services, you will be pivotal in establishing the smooth operation of our Production Directorate. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will collaborate with department heads and other senior stakeholder across the organisation to develop and implement project management and content workflows across teams to enable the team to deliver work effectively.
Once creative ideas are envisioned and agreed upon, you will lead the team in creating the roadmap for implementation. Your role entails developing, training, and assimilating a team of Creatives and Producers into a new operating model capable of developing, managing, and delivering a range of content year-round. This will involve collaborating with project teams across departments to ensure Producers can successfully deliver large, complex content projects, as well as several small to mid-size projects. The primary focus will be for Producers to work across a range of channels and formats (e.g., digital, broadcast, social etc.), creating a system that empowers Producers to work on multiple campaigns and deliver several content projects concurrently. You will lead on delegating tasks and mapping out internal resources, budgets, timelines, and all major details to enable the production team to deliver content on time and within budget.

By instilling order within the team's processes, you will significantly contribute to fostering efficiency and accountability across the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities:
• Implement robust project management processes to ensure the efficient workflow in content delivery. This entails responding to briefs from our Strategy Directorate (Fundraising, Funding, and Corporate Partnerships), who set the strategic direction, objectives, and target audiences. You will support our Production team to address various aspects of these briefs, including conceptual work, video content such as appeal films, photography, shoots, design assets, digital content, and more.

What's this role about?
This exciting position is responsible for delivering our fundraising programme to the public, with support from our Deputy Head of Fundraising.
You will focus on delivering key fundraising activities and an exceptional experience to a wide range of supporters, ensuring that you deepen relationships and maximise value. You will also coordinate and deliver the marketing of our public fundraising activity, alongside colleagues in communications and digital engagement.
The role works across three key areas:
- Individual giving (direct marketing, regular giving, in-memory)

Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK), the UK’s leading dementia research charity, is seeking a mass fundraising specialist to head up its Individual Giving and Legacies Directorate.
ARUK has a vision of a world free from the fear, harm and heartbreak of dementia. The charity is working to revolutionise the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia and exists for a cure. With a network of centres of research excellence across the UK, alongside investing in the wider research community, ARUK has supported thousands of scientists working on breakthroughs in dementia research based across the UK and the world.
For the first time, new treatments are on the horizon that can slow the course of Alzheimer’s disease – the leading cause of dementia – and there have encouraging signs that blood tests could revolutionise its diagnosis. While these are promising steps forward, there is still a long way to transform the lives of people affected by all forms of dementia. That’s why the charity launched a new 10 year strategy in 2023 and a powerful new brand, to catalyse this progress and change lives.
This role will be the strategic lead for a directorate of approximately 40 people with a diverse portfolio covering direct marketing, legacy and in memoriam, data and CRM, and supporter care functions – teams that are responsible for generating around 50% of the charity’s fundraised income.
The Director will be responsible for developing and driving ARUK’s engagement and income growth ambitions, working alongside the Deputy Chief Executive & Executive Director of Fundraising and Marketing and fellow directors, with a focus on continuous improvement and learning. They will also work across the charity to maximise opportunities to engage new supporters, inspiring long-term relationships and ensuring that supporters are at the heart of everything ARUK does.
ARUK are looking for a fundraiser with extensive mass fundraising experience across direct marketing and legacies, and a track record in driving significant income growth by developing and executing acquisition and retention strategies. This role is an opportunity to develop your fundraising skills and gain experience across a broad range of incomes streams while also providing essential administrative support across our small charity. You will support the Director and Fundraising Manager with fundraising from grant makers, individual donors and corporate partnerships. You will already have strong digital skills and will take the lead on developing our digital fundraising through expanding the effectiveness and reach of our social media. You will oversee the administration of our Peak Partners scheme for businesses and lead on signing up new bronze and silver level partners. You will also lead on community fundraising - supporting individuals and groups who want to fundraise for the Foundation. The role will also include helping to distribute much-needed grants to projects across the National Park.
This role would be ideally suited to someone with a digital communications background who wants to develop skills in fundraising, or an individual with some fundraising or sales experience who is looking to move into the environmental sector. You will be a confident communicator and willing to muck in and be a key part of our small friendly team.
