Role Purpose
To deliver and develop a high-impact mentoring programme through effective mentor management, community engagement, and high-quality organisation and programme administration around London. This role is vital to achieving the organisation’s goals — including positive outcomes for children, meaningful volunteer engagement, compliance, and sustainable growth.
This role brings a perfect blend of administration and delivery, giving you ample time to see and speak with children and volunteer mentors, seeing up close the transformation the programme makes on children’s lives.
Core Responsibilities
1. Mentor Management & Support
- Match at least five children per month with suitable volunteer mentors, aligned with individual needs and programme goals.
- Manage up to 55 active mentor-mentee pairs, leading the administration cycle and our quality framework.
- Maintain 100% accurate records and communications in our data management system, Salesforce, ensuring full compliance with internal processes
- Maintain consistent, high-quality mentor communications, including regular check-ins and reviews, ensuring consistent session attendance.
- Co-deliver training for new and existing volunteer mentors; support community events and in-person meetups, maintaining 90%+ satisfaction in mentor surveys.
- Drive mentor engagement and experience through the online community platform, reflective sessions, and arranging mentor meetups.
- Promote long-term mentor involvement, with volunteer mentors contributing beyond core mentoring.
2. Programme Delivery & Development
- Support organisational targets across cohorts supporting delivery, volunteer recruitment and fundraising annually
- Deliver child workshops and check-ins, capturing their voices and tailoring support accordingly.
- Collect consistent impact from children, caregivers and mentors, ensuring all impact targets are met and ensuring children show positive progress in key outcome areas
- Collaborate with Programme Leaders to identify improvements and co-create new approaches or resources.
- Promote child participation and co-creation in all aspects of programme design and delivery, ensuring children's voices inform organisational reporting and development.
- Plan and arrange group 2-3 mentoring sessions annually with other programme managers
3. Volunteer, Referral & Community Engagement
- Work with the volunteer recruitment team to build local partnerships and referral networks to support volunteer recruitment and programme delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with referral partners (e.g., schools, community organisations) to ensure a steady referral pipeline and collaborative working and 80% of your schools are retained.
- Provide updates of the programme to referral partners and share content to internal marketing and schools colleagues to support completing the schools termly impact template
- Act as a key liaison between mentors and caregivers, supporting clear communication and shared understanding of child development and the programme.
4. Safeguarding
- Uphold a strong culture of safeguarding in your work, acting in compliance with our safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
- Contribute to TKN safer recruitment processes, attending internal mentor training events to vet prospective mentors.
- Review and assess weekly delivery session reports from mentors, updating Salesforce as required.
- Ensure every child participating in the programme experiences a positive ending in line with TKN positive ending guidance.
- Work collaboratively with DSLs to follow TKN safeguarding processes, escalating where needed

Purpose of Role
The Digital Fundraising Growth Manager will manage our digital paid media planning and delivery, driving audience engagement at all stages of the marketing funnel, specifically with the aim of delivering growth in our supporter base and income.
The post holder will directly oversee all digital paid media activity in line with agreed campaign and year round engagement and fundraising strategies and plans, including but not limited to social media advertising, search marketing, programmatic display, and emerging channels ensuring plans are fully integrated with other engagement and fundraising activity (including owned and earned media across all channels and wider organisational efforts).
Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you will drive digital fundraising performance across a range of campaign and product offers, optimising media spend; creative and supporter journeys using data-driven insights informed by a rapid and robust test and learn methodology to ensure our investments are optimised for performance.
As the Comic Relief’s paid media champion, the post holder will also play a key role in ensuring alignment of media campaigns with integrated web and CRM journeys to deliver consistent and personalised supporter experiences. About the role
As Charity Director at Dons Local Action Group (DLAG), you will lead a respected and fast-growing organisation at the heart of the community.

Role Summary
Beyond Sport is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager to lead our end-to-end grant-making process across our global programmes. This partner-facing role will lead all grant application processes, including due diligence, approvals and agreements as well as grantee relationship management through the life cycle of the grant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly global organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team in both the US and the UK, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager (UK). The position will support the strategic programme implementation and work alongside specialists in the team on Monitoring and Evaluation and Events & Capacity-Building.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Management
- Lead on all communication with grantees (and award recipients) across programmes.
- Manage grantee payment and reporting schedules with clear expectations and communications.
- Build and own the organisation's system of communicating with grantees (and award recipients).
- Collaborate with Finance on grantee bank account details, payments, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with the team to support grantees through marketing, events, and capacity building opportunities. Work cross-team to support grantees to fulfil monitoring and evaluation of grant requirements, insight surveys and financial reports where needed.
- Maintain the grantee CRM database, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to use.
Grantee Selection Process
- Manage the grant application process from start to finish for funding and award programmes.
- Lead the preparation of all grant applications including fund design, funding criteria, design of application and review scoring process.
- Responsible for supporting potential applicants during the open application period.
- Lead on all tasks required once the application process is closed, including collating and summarising applications, scoring and recommendations and due diligence.
- Coordinate with external expert advisors, judges or participatory panels with transparency around roles, timelines and compensation.
- Draft and process the signing of grantee approvals and agreements engaging with the Board of Trustees in grantee approvals where needed.
- Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation Lead on key data from selection processes to inform the Beyond Sport Measurement Framework and learning.
- Manage the system of storing relevant up-to-date application information in our CRM database.
Miscellaneous
- Where required manage and support specific global programme or awards including partnerships management and design.
- Advise and support the development of the Beyond Sport Awards.
- Understand new trends in grant-making and recommend new approaches to processes.
- Contribute to organisational strategy and objectives.
- Support with agreements for consultants, advisory groups and judging panels for experts supporting grant-making for both UK and US programmes.
- Support business development with opportunities which rely heavily on grant-making or award-making.
- Support back donors and key stakeholders' relationship management across Beyond Sport’s funded programmes.
You will have:
- 4 years’ experience working in a charity or foundation with focus on grant management and application processes.
- Experience with diverse grant-making approaches such as participatory grant-making or grant-making to social enterprises.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and problem‐solving skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively.
- An empathetic approach to partners’ priorities and objectives.
- A highly organised approach to all tasks with experience in effective project management.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- A dependable approach to work and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
- A deep belief in the ability of sport to create social change
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive team when needed.
- The right to work in the UK.
You may have:
- Experience using CRMs such as Zoho.
- Experience using digital application platforms such as SurveyMonkey Apply.
- Experience with cross-cultural communications and an understanding of global perspectives and realities.
- Additional languages are desirable.
- A global perspective and passion for social impact through sport.
