Who we are looking for
Volunteering is a growing area at JDRF with huge potential to connect with people who want to give their time to support the work we do by sharing their lived experience, their enthusiasm or their core skills. To do this we are looking for a passionate, organised and collaborative person to manage our centralised volunteer department.
You will work with teams across JDRF to recruit, retain and steward our amazing volunteers as they support the work JDRF delivers for people living with type 1 diabetes. Promoting the benefits of working with volunteers and ensuring that all teams within JDRF consider the impact volunteers can bring to our work.
You will lead on our volunteer programmes, the Insight and Experience Panel and Youth Ambassadors Programme. Ensuring volunteers receive excellent stewardship alongside delivering to the needs of JDRF. Reviewing and evaluating the programmes alongside agreed KPI’s alongside the administration of these programmes.
You will ensure there is a portfolio of volunteer opportunities that support organisational need and match volunteer motivations and that we review and evaluate the success of opportunities available.
As the first point of contact for volunteer queries, you must be a confident communicator both verbally and in writing. You should be as happy to pick up the phone as you are to write out an email and be able to judge what type of communication works best in different instances.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that all information relating to volunteering is recorded on our database. And that the data is used to help support decisions made within the department.
Above all we’re looking for someone who can get excited about volunteering and champion the benefits of getting involved.

About you
As our perfect candidate, you bring experience leading social media strategy and content delivery and overseeing social media monitoring and listening, either in-house or agency. Able to follow brand guidelines, visual identity, tone of voice, content frameworks and social policy guidelines, you have a range of technical design skills, such as social photography, videography, editing and graphic design.

The Head of Marketing & Commercial has overall responsibility for the Trust’s marketing, room and site hire, and events. They ensure a continual public programme, commercial events and marketing efforts for year-round activities are in line with the vision and strategic plan, and that income targets are met, working in collaboration with the Finance and Programming Committee of the Board.
You will be responsible for:
1) The effective marketing and communication of all activities at the Trust.

16. Develop a paid for programme of activity that provides access to the heritage in our care to new audiences, including the development, implementation, monitoring, impact and overall success of the programme.
17. Ensure all programming delivers significant Return on Investment where external grant funding is not available, supporting the income generation targets of the Trust.

As one of the key drivers of our marketing and digital comms, you won’t just follow orders! You should relish the chance to take the lead on the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and activities. You’ll use your skills, judgement, creativity and hard-work to deliver compelling brand narratives and a positive ROI. 2+ years UK experience of Google Ad Words (ideally, with experience managing a Google for Nonprofits Ad Grant) and other popular digital marketing tools is essential. As is the ability to learn fast, on the job. Familiarity with popular Content Management Systems is also desirable.
You should possess a hybrid analytical/creative mind - with great writing skills, a good eye for design (i.e. website ‘look and feel’), and excellent attention to detail. In addition to digital marketing and social media channels, you’ll get the chance to work on a major website redevelopment project, and work with our busy content production team (incl. photo/video content).

Account Management

Your purpose
This year Voice 21 are recruiting to a newly formed Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs department to help address these challenges. As Campaigns Manager, you will support the Head of Communications, Campaigns and Public Affairs to make oracy education ordinary, co-ordinating and project managing communications campaigns as well as leading content delivery. Campaigns (70%)
● Responsible for developing and delivering integrated campaigns working closely with Fundraising, Marketing, Customer Service and Service Delivery teams.
