The Supporter Relations Team plays a pivotal role in building relationships with our supporters and assisting our fundraising team to raise vital funds that will support our mission to beat blood cancer within a generation. The main purpose of this role is to lead and develop the Supporter Relations Team to deliver excellent customer service to our supporters from the beginning of their journey with Blood Cancer UK. Our processes need to be as efficient and effective as possible to get the best from our supporters.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with great communication, organisation and interpersonal skills. The post holder will take responsibility to help build lasting relationships with our supporters through written and verbal communication and ensure efficient administration of donations and maintaining accurate data on our CRM system. They will also maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement both within the team and the wider organisation.

THE PROJECT 

The University of Essex in partnership with We are the Minories (WATM), an arts charity and gallery in a historic townhouse in Colchester, offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge to develop a data led and long-term strategic plan, to enhance WATM’s growth.

The associate will work with WATM’s managers and University of Essex academic supervisors to ensure WATM's sustainable and prosperous future while keeping their community ethos and values at the heart of their activities. This will be achieved through four key strategies:

1. Developing innovative solutions to evaluate and measure the social impact of WATM’s activities to enhance its success rates in funding applications.
2. Introducing business model innovations to support WATM in improving its income generation, such as through new product/service development (e.g., consultancy) and exploring additional income-generating activities like leveraging its physical space.
3. Enhancing WATM’s capabilities in managing both social and economic missions and supporting them in sharing their knowledge through consultancy to third-party organisations.
4. Developing marketing, operational, and financial plans to foster the sustainable growth of WATM.

This post is fixed term for 18 months.  

DUTIES OF THE POST

The duties of the post will include: 

• Conduct literature reviews and summarise findings for a non-academic audience.
• Design and develop a framework to measure social output, outcomes, and impacts of WATM's activities.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Develop and design data-driven and customer-driven strategies to improve the sustainability and growth of WATM
• Develop strategies for augmenting earned and grant income.
• Formulate and implement robust and well-informed marketing, operational and financial plans based on the collected data and selected strategies.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge management plan, encompassing strategies for disseminating insights and best practices derived from the project.
• Manage activities, stakeholders and relationship building across diverse groups, including WATM’s board of trustees, art gallery/café visitors, artists, employees, volunteers, and wider community.
• Disseminate findings in scientific articles and conferences.

These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• A first/undergraduate degree in Management, Business Studies or a related discipline, OR a first/undergraduate degree in a subject related to Arts and Humanities or nonprofit sector with business development experience.
• Excellent market research, analytical and problem-solving skills to generate insights and support evidence-based decision making.
• Knowledge and experience of qualitative and quantitative data analysis and proficiency with data analysis tools and methodologies.
• Experience of producing written reports in an academic context.
• Proficiency in strategic planning, business development and consultancy.

Key responsibilities

* Customer Experience and Service: Welcome customers warmly, maintain an inviting atmosphere, and train and oversee retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Visual Merchandising and Operations: Maintain correct pricing, sizing, and stock displays. Ensure high standards of visual presentation and cleanliness in all areas.

The Senior Shop Manager will have a minimum of three years' experience managing a charity or clothing retail store. The successful post holder will have experience in cybertil systems, an understanding of charity retail and solid customer service experience. You will have experience successfully managing staff and volunteers and demonstrate understanding and respect for NOAH Enterprise's values of Care, Compassion, and Commitment. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge and understanding of Fundraising and Marketing.

The role will be based in Hertfordshire where the new flagship store will be opening (exact location TBC). The successful post holder will need to take a flexible approach to working hours (within the scope of the agreed working week) and will need to work evenings and weekends on occasion. There is a TOIL policy in place for any additional hours worked. Occasional travel will be required for meetings, staff days and training. You will have a full driving license and access to your own transport. All travel expenses for work will be covered.

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities, this includes a track record of securing new bids and/or retaining existing contracts
• Previous experience in bid/proposal writing, reviewing, and editing
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, experience in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability and willingness to travel and attend market engagement events and to visit services to gain greater understanding of what SIG offers and to inform teams of relevant tender responses
• Ability to create and write engaging content, with proofreading skills

The role will manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser and be responsible for the overall delivery of our individual giving strategy.

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.

Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. As estate manager, your main duties will be to:

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops, and is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction in the UK and internationally. Dogs Trust Worldwide works with local dog welfare organisations around the world to improve the lives of dogs in the communities where they operate.

Dogs Trust are going through a period of growth, with recruitment for two Senior New Partnerships Managers due to the existing Lead getting an internal promotion. There are continuing plans to drive new business through long-term strategic partnerships.

The Senior New Partnerships Manager will play an active role in winning new partnerships to support international and UK-based work. Alongside the Deputy Head of Partnerships, you will work closely with the prospect research and special events team, and line manage a New Partnerships Manager.

You will be responsible for proactively identifying and cultivating high value prospects within target corporate sectors, to win significant high value multi-year partnerships that support Dogs Trust’s work.

This role will look for high value opportunities across multiple fundraising mechanisms including, but not limited to, corporate donations, cause-related marketing, consultancy services, gift in kind and pro bono cost saving, employee engagement and volunteering, charity of the year and sponsorship.

About the role

• Identify and cultivate new corporate partnerships supporting a new business team target of £950k.
• Collaboratively work with the Deputy Head of Corporate Partnerships in developing new corporate fundraising products that access a range of different corporate income streams.
• Build networks with key decision makers and influencers at target companies to strengthen relationships and build long term partnerships.
• Line manage a New Partnerships Manager supporting performance and professional development.

About you

• Proven track record of identifying and securing 5-6 figure corporate partnerships.
• Experience of line managing or supervising staff to deliver excellent work and of supporting their professional development.
• Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive and technically accurate proposals and pitches, tailored to a corporate audience.
• Tenacious, with strong negotiation skills and full appreciation of the commercial value of Dogs Trust brand and assets

About the role

At a time of growth and of new opportunities for the Motability Foundation, we are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to join our Communications Team and lead our Public Affairs activity for the organisation.

Our vision is to fund, support, research, and innovate, so all disabled people can make the journeys they choose. There are an estimated 16 million disabled people in the UK, and this role will play a crucial part in our work to raise awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, amplify the voices of disabled people and to influence policy.

·This new role will work alongside our new Evidence and Policy Manager, based in our Innovation team, and other colleagues across the organization as well as key partners (Motability Operations), to manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political landscape, leading on advising our Governors, CEO and senior management team on actions we need to take, and preparing detailed briefings for engagements, and events with Parliamentarians and senior Ministers. The role holder will develop, implement and lead our Public Affairs and Government Engagement Plan, and proactively identify and develop opportunities to influence and shape policy where it may have a positive impact for disabled people.

With a General Election and potential welfare reform on the horizon, this role is especially important and experience in creating and implementing post-election public affairs strategies, leading activities across the team and devising and managing structured results reporting to the organisation, is highly desirable.

What you will be doing

• Develop, implement and manage our public affairs strategy, leading on public affairs activities aligned with the Motability Foundation’s vision and overall strategy.
• Amplify the Motability Foundation’s voice in Parliament, across the devolved nations, and in political spheres, building, developing and managing relationships with parliamentarians, decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Manage our horizon scanning and monitoring of the political, legislative and regulatory landscape in relation to the work of the Motability Foundation, leading on advising the business on actions we need to take.
• Provide sharp political intelligence, insight, advice and briefings for Governors, directors, senior management and a variety of audiences across the organization.
• Support the establishment of the Motability Foundation’s policy positions and delivering our influencing objectives.
• Manage a contact program for Parliamentarians, raising awareness of the work of the Motability Foundation, establishing regular meetings for senior leaders where relevant, and facilitating dialogue on issues relevant to our work.
• Working closely with the Evidence and Policy Manager to manage the dissemination of any policy output for presentation to the external world.

Your experience

Must haves:

• Strong grasp of parliamentary processes in Westminster, Scotland and the other devolved nations.
• Ability to initiate and manage projects independently while contributing effectively to team efforts.
• Experience in proactively identifying opportunities to influence.
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly and share information in an accessible way across a variety of audiences.
• Ability to facilitate sensitive internal and stakeholder conversations to reach a point of consensus.
• Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders in Government, industry, and other charities and foundations.
• Experience of operating effectively in a complex environment with multiple agendas and stakeholders.
• Highly IT literate with extensive experience of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to haves:

• Understanding of key disability and transport issues, such as the social model of disability, inclusive micro mobility and the transition to electric vehicles.
