Communications and Campaigns Officer
We’re looking for an experienced Communications and Campaigns Officer to join a busy multidisciplinary communications team. You’ll play a key role in shaping and actioning our approach to communications and campaigns both internally and externally.
Working with a supportive team, you’ll work collaboratively across the Foundation to help us deliver on our new strategy, working on large multi-channel communications campaigns and events, commissioning and coordinating content, and delivering internal comms.
This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with the team, freelancers, charities and the people and communities they support to understand what they do. You’ll work as part of a team to deliver creative campaigns, and plan engaging content that reaches our key audiences, internally and externally.
You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as we lay the foundations of our new strategy as an organisation and deliver on our new comms strategy. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape our comms and deliver on key projects.

- Provide strategic lead on LRMN’s Borough of Sanctuary campaign, in Lewisham, Greenwich, and beyond, and other local and national campaigns.
- Developing strategic partnerships with key local, regional, and national partners in shaping and promoting campaigns most relevant to LRMN’s client base.

Occasionally that will mean getting stuck into helping to produce campaign events like petition hand-ins or creative stunts, conferences or film and photoshoots. You might build relationships with spokespeople and feed into campaign strategy.

About the role:

- Leading on meetings with internal and external stakeholders to present the Mighty Hikes and inspire high levels of engagement and support
This role does require weekend work (although not at your desk) as you’ll be out and about cheering on our participants. A full UK driver’s license is preferred and a willingness to drive a van is a bonus. You will be compensated for your weekend work with days in lieu.

Job Description
The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past two years, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. The museum is building a new strategy that will lead its transformation over the next 10 years as it tests out innovative new models for exhibitions, displays, learning and engagement, building towards a new permanent site and dynamic operational model. Learning and engagement are central to the museum’s future. This new role will support the learning and engagement team by coordinating bookings, marketing and communications for the team.
Our museum is made up of passionate and expert staff and a collection of over 40,000 objects which are both accredited and designated with Outstanding status by Arts Council England. Our learning programmes hold multiple awards, and our visitor feedback is consistently very high, however, we have much bigger ambitions than our current success. The Museum is looking to expand, in space, in profile and in audience reach. We are looking for someone passionate about our potential to coordinate the day-to-day running of the learning team as we move forward to the next phase of the Jewish Museum London.
Reporting to the Head of Learning the appointed candidate will have the organisational and administrative skills to ensure the team can effectively deliver programmes for schools, families and communities as well as taking a lead on communicating the museum’s activity through social media, newsletters and the website.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main role of the Learning and Communications Coordinator will be to administrate the activities of the learning department, in particular our flagship programme of schools workshops both in person and digitally. What you will do:
The role encompasses all aspects of digital marketing activity, including both B2B and B2C. Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Purpose of the job
Primarily, you’ll own responsibility for our small to medium grant pipeline, so we're looking for someone with a track record of successfully securing five figure funding from Trusts, Foundations, or Corporates. As well as writing high quality, comprehensive and persuasive funding applications, you’ll need to manage reporting and relationship management with the funders you successfully engage with and oversee wider fundraising areas, including playing a key role in our social media and communications, supporting sponsored event and London marathon runners, and playing a key part in planning our annual fundraising events. We see significant potential for growth within the role with the capacity for the right candidate to progress to Senior Fundraising Officer level within the first 12-18 months.

- To support the Fundraising Manager and CEO with the preparation of larger and more complex funding bids, showing capacity to progress to leading a proportion of these in time.
- To support the Fundraising Manager with research into future funding opportunities.
- To create detailed, timely and impactful reports for funders, including evidence and evaluation of the projects supported by their donations.
- To lead on our sponsored runs, including 12 London marathon places, ensuring runners are supported with event sign-up, fundraising pages and targets, and social media content. (circa 20 runners total per year).
- To support the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of our May Fundraising gala event evening, June match funded online campaign, Christmas campaign, Corporate volunteering days, and such other future events as may be required.

Could you be the impactful Programme Director we seek to lead, develop and oversee the delivery of the next stage of the Richmond Group Physical Activity Programme and We Are Undefeatable Campaign (WAU), with a budget of £8m?
This influential post is offered as a fixed-term contract ending March 2028. It will initially involve improving programme oversight and integrating the Physical Activity Programme and the We Are Undefeatable Campaign teams to enhance collaboration and ways of working. The Physical Activity Programme, a partnership with Sport England and the National Lottery, is entering an exciting new phase, which will focus on the evolution of We Are Undefeatable, from Above-The-Line to an 'always on' campaign, expanding our system influencing work, both nationally and at 'place' level, and building a powerful evidence base for how we can support the least active to move more
The role will have overall responsibility for the implementation of the strategic aims of the programme and ensure effective governance, budget oversight, and delivery of the system influencing work and WAU campaign. As Programme Director, you will extensively collaborate at leadership level with existing and new partnerships and stakeholders, parliamentarians and systems leaders to drive impactful interventions.
We operate a hybrid-working model and will require the post holder to be in our central London office a minimum of two days each week. Travel costs to our London office are not covered by the charity.
