About the role

As a participation worker, you will work with The Dreamers, a co-produced project that aims to improve the mental health of young (16-25 year old) refugees and asylum seekers.

The project is delivered through a partnership between Oasis, TGP Cymru and Cardiff and Vale Health Inclusion Service (CAVHIS) along with the young people. The partnership project is hosted by Oasis and funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The Mental Health and Money Advice Service is the first UK-wide service to address mental and financial health together. How you will make a difference

I use my existing knowledge and expertise to identify and address a range of issues and provide debt and financial capability advice to people with mental health issues. I take on case work within our remit on debt (including enhanced income maximisation), welfare benefits, mental health and financial capability issues. I develop my knowledge and experience of mental health and social care to set my advice in a meaningful context. I help clients identify the barriers that are hindering progress in dealing with their money worries and I provide help, support and advice to overcome these barriers.

Mental Health Case Worker

We are looking for a Mental Health Case Worker to manage a caseload of clients and provide support to those experiencing both financial and mental wellbeing issues and develop resilience and manage their mental health more effectively. 

This will be in collaboration with Citizens Advice as they provide the client with financial advice and guidance.

Project

The free Financial and Wellbeing Support Service in Epsom and Ewell combines the specialist mental health support with expert benefits and money advice from Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) to support clients during a difficult time. This three-year project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The Role

• Increase financial resilience and independence.

• Improve overall mental and/or emotional wellbeing.

• Reduce stress and anxiety.

• Increase engagement with local community and local services

• Reduce social isolation.

• Help clients to feel more informed about how to manage finances and wellbeing in future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Work in partnership with the Citizens Advice to support people with their mental health who are experiencing financial difficulties.

• Manage a caseload of clients.

• Work with individuals and their carers around their mental health and social circumstances.

• Create a non-clinical person centred support plan around the individual, guided by the individual’s needs.

• Cultivate relationships with, and work with, other services around social wellbeing support for clients.

• Work with clients as the lead professional involved in their care, bridging to other services and opportunities and working closely with other organisations already involved.

• Aim to remove practical and physical barriers that arise from lack of resource at the community level.

• Assistance with accessing services (such as Community Connections).

• Advice, information, and signposting, including clear information about what support is available locally.

• Collecting reporting and monitoring data, providing case studies.

About You

You will have a minimum of 2 years community experience of mental health and wellbeing, and/or a qualification in appropriate subject i.e., counselling, psychology, social work, mental health, Health and Social Care (level 3)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (statutory and voluntary)

• An understanding of confidentiality, consent, information sharing, including GDPR.

• An understanding of Safeguarding policy and practice.

• Good communication and written skills and a commitment to ensure accurate and confidential record keeping.

• Ability to interact effectively with the clients, colleagues and other professionals whilst retaining clear boundaries.

Role Description

The Family Matters team provide support and information to the families of men under investigation for online paedophile crimes. They are often the hidden victims, facing multiple problems and isolated from help and support.

This Role will provide support to families of those who receive a custodial sentence, liaise with Police, Probation, Court staff and other relevant professionals while supporting service users attending Court Hearings.

Responsibilities

• To work as a member of the Family Matters Team to deliver outcomes for the Family Matters Programme as agreed with The National Lottery Community Fund.
• To provide information and support at a time of crisis to service users.
• To manage a caseload of complex adult client cases, providing client centred, practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments / case management.
• To offer information and support to family members regarding the Criminal Justice process during investigation, court hearings, sentencing and beyond. 
• To help family members remain informed regarding Child in Need and Child Protection processes.

Essential

• Experience in direct support work with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support

• Ability to provide non-judgemental, non-directive and confidential support to service users in crisis
• A clear understanding of the gendered nature of some crime types and a clear understanding of how different crime types disproportionately affect different groups of people

The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:

• To ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
 
Direct Support to Carers: 

• Deliver comprehensive carer assessments in line with the Care Act 2014, and co-produce tailored support plans
• Identify and assess eligibility for Carers Personal Budgets and assist with the application process
• Provide accurate and empathetic information, advice, and guidance on carers’ rights, benefits (e.g. PIP, Carer’s Allowance, Attendance Allowance), housing, and local services
• Act as a listening ear and a source of emotional reassurance for carers navigating challenges and crises
• Liaise with Local Authorities, NHS providers, and voluntary agencies to advocate for carers and coordinate support
• Make appropriate referrals and ensure follow-ups are completed

Identification and Outreach: 

• Lead proactive outreach efforts to identify new carers, particularly those from underrepresented or vulnerable communities
• Build and nurture collaborative relationships with GPs, hospitals, primary care teams, and community organisations
• Raise awareness of unpaid carers and the charity’s services through campaigns and community presence
• Contribute to the development of internal strategies and external policies that reflect the needs and voices of carers

Administration & Case Management:

• Maintain high-quality records using internal systems (Charity Log) and the Mosaic Local Authority database
• Register new carers and ensure timely updates to service user records
• Prepare case summaries and contribute to internal and external reports for management, commissioners, and funders
• Ensure data compliance, confidentiality, and GDPR adherence at all times

Complex Case Worker

Location: London 

Salary: £26,250 - £34,650 per annum

The post holder will be part of the Insight Platform, Young people’s service and will work with young people who have alcohol related problems, mental health issues and complex needs including drugs, psychological issues, anti-social behaviour, self-harm, or any other co-existing needs. The post holder will improve access to treatment services in the area for this cohort and, will provide a range of interventions for service users in this group including 1 :1 support and group work. 

You will bring a creative driven approach to the role and a willingness to build and nurture a successful and dynamic team focussed on delivering excellence and a quality service to promote and enhance the performance and reputation of Waythrough. You will be able to work seamlessly within professional partnerships to deliver outstanding services. An engaging communicator, you will have worked in a similar or NHS setting managing a team working with clients with substance misuse issues and/or complex needs.

About this exciting opportunity

This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate assess referred clients, with reference to St Giles Trust assessment practices, and then produce support and risk management plans based on these assessments, ensuring you promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process.

We will also count on you to deliver a holistic support service, providing practical assistance with social and housing support, employment, training and education options, benefits work and debt advice, and to develop and maintain relationships with referral agencies, including police, Youth Offending Team and Youth Offending Institutions and local authorities. About the Role

As Young People Support Worker you will be working alongside support team to provide accommodation and support services for young people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. You will be responsible for all aspects of the support planning, risk assessment and move-on for a small caseload of 4-5 residents, addressing their physical, emotional, social and behavioural needs and helping them progress towards independence.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of your line manager, you will be responsible for a small caseload of complex needs clients, as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

You will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all clients, following safeguarding and emergency procedures as needed.
• Act as key worker for a caseload of clients, leading on risk and needs assessments and SMART, outcomes-based support plans.
• Provide personalised, flexible, and creative support, involving clients in decision-making and encouraging participation in activities.
• Collaborate with external agencies to support clients, adhering to data protection and information sharing protocols.
• Support clients to access Education, Training, Employment, and Volunteering opportunities aligned with their goals and aspirations.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, including preparing accommodation for new clients and supporting their transition.
• Assist in coordinating and supporting volunteers and promoting client involvement initiatives and residents' meetings.
• Maintain clear, accurate records and participate in team rotas, including evenings and weekends, carrying out additional duties as required.

 

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of working with clients with mental health and or drug/alcohol dependency issues.
• Ability to work with clients whose behaviour may be personally challenging.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships and boundaries with clients.
• Experience working in partnership with multi agency teams, including social workers, immigration and mental health professionals.
• Knowledge of risk assessments, support planning, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures.
• Strong literacy, numeracy, IT skills, and commitment to diversity, equality, and professional integrity.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, work collaboratively, and reflect on practices for continuous development.

Leeds Citizens Advice & Law Centre has been providing free and independent advice for more than 80 years, offering access to justice for people experiencing disadvantage or discrimination. In November 2024, we joined the Law Centres Network and have secured funding to expand our legal advice service.

We’re looking for a Solicitor or CILEx to supervise our housing advice team and legal aid contract. The team offers complex casework and representation to clients facing possession, eviction, serious disrepair and housing issues related to DAV and to anti-social behaviour. You will have 3 years’ PQE in housing law and be able to manage a wide range of cases, as well as experience of working under a legal aid contract, supervising caseworkers, and meeting targets.
