We offer young women free coaching, feedback on job applications and information to help them get where they want to be. We bring together a network of thousands of young women to support each other, build their self-belief, and have their voices heard. We work with young women to campaign for equality in the workplace. And our research provides insight into what young women’s lives are really like, fuelling our campaigns for change.

About the role
Over the next five years, our fundraising team are embarking on an ambitious growth strategy to increase our income from c. £1m to £1.7m. This is alongside our commitment to spend a significant amount of our organisational endowment to invest in our campaigning, new services, digital capabilities and core infrastructure.

We have recently reshaped the team to create a new Partnerships and Philanthropy (P&P) programme. This unites our corporate partnerships, major donors, and trusts & foundations. With P&P contributing around 80% of our total fundraised income, this is a vital and expanding area.

This new role will support the new P&P Lead in providing outstanding stewardship to Partnerships & Philanthropy supporters, ensuring every commitment is delivered with care and purpose. You’ll play a key role in activating partnership activities, shaping standout content, and helping to build lasting, transformational relationships that drive real impact for young women.

Role Purpose

The SHEQ Officer is responsible for overseeing, implementing and managing health, safety, environment and quality management systems to ensure a safe, compliant, sustainable and efficient working environment. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities across our global workplace portfolio:

• Development and management of our global Health and Safety management system.
• Development and management of workplace environmental, sustainable and wellbeing practices.
• Development and management of a workplace quality and supplier governance system to ensure efficient, effective, and safe workplace operations as delivered by external vendors or otherwise.

Key responsibilities

As the SHEQ Officer, your key responsibilities are as follows:

Health & Safety:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a health and safety system that complies with legal requirements and best practices.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of local risk registers
• Deliver health and safety training to employees, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.

Environment, Sustainability and Wellbeing: 

• Develop, implement, and maintain an environmental management system that aligns with legal regulations and sustainability best practices. 
• Conduct regular environmental audits, inspections, and impact assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implementing, maintaining and continually improving office initiatives across the organization  
• Provide training and guidance to employees on environmental policies and sustainability to promote responsible practices.

Quality Management & Supplier Governance:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality practices that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and process evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality standards. 
• Establish and oversee supplier governance programs to ensure vendors meet quality, compliance, and performance expectations. 
• Perform supplier audits and assessments, working closely with vendors to drive improvements and maintain product and service quality. 
• Provide training and support to employees on quality procedures and best practices to enhance consistency and efficiency.

Emergency Preparedness & Disaster recovery & Business Continuity:

Partner with our Global Security team, local Global Operations staff and other key Operations units to:

• Develop and maintain local office emergency response, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans to minimize disruptions.
• Conduct risk assessments and regular training to ensure employees are prepared for office related emergencies.

Reporting & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of health and safety risk registers, incidents, maintenance activities, compliance reports and file with relevant authorities.
• Analyze data to identify trends, assess risks, and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

• Identify opportunities for improving safety practices, energy efficiency, and sustainability in Workplace Services.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, implementing best practices as applicable.

The ideal candidate

• Relevant Health and Safety qualification
• Relevant qualifications in Environmental, Quality and Wellbeing practices, including audits.
• Educated to a degree level (or equivalent substantial industry experience).

Health & Safety Experience:

• Proven experience in health and safety management, including developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with safety legislation, regulations, and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
• Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.

Environmental Management Experience:

• Proven experience in developing and implementing environmental policies and management systems. 
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 14001, EPA regulations). 
• -Experience conducting environmental audits, impact assessments, and sustainability initiatives.

Quality Management & Supplier Governance Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in quality management, including implementing and maintaining quality control systems. 
• Familiarity with industry quality standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, GMP). 
• Experience in supplier governance, including supplier audits, performance evaluations, and compliance monitoring.

Training and Communication:

• Proven experience delivering health and safety training to employees across various levels.

Emergency Response and Preparedness:

• Experience in developing and implementing local office emergency response plans, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans including evacuation procedures and first-aid readiness.
• Familiarity with conducting emergency drills and training staff on office safety protocols.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Experience in gathering and analysing data, tracking key performance indicators, and providing reports.

Languages:

• An excellent knowledge of English. Fluency in other languages, would be an asset.

Purpose of the job

This role is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to join the UK Youth Network Delivery Department. The Summer Jobs Programme is the largest programme in UK Youth’s portfolio. Funded until the end of 2026, the programme is currently operating in its second year. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for programme managing our Summer Jobs programme. As Programme Manager, you will deliver the programme to a high standard and that the benefits to young people are realised. This will include ensuring that colleagues and stakeholders are clear on their roles and delivering on them effectively, that programme deliverables are met, risks managed effectively, and delivery is within budget.

The Summer Jobs Programme is a paid employment initiative running from July to September 2025 and 2026, supporting vulnerable young people in England and Wales. It aims to reduce youth violence and improve future engagement in education, training, and work by removing barriers to employment and offering structured, empowering opportunities. This programme is delivered with a network of local youth work Delivery Partners and employers. Young people begin with a one-week pre-employment training course, followed by a five-week job placement. Throughout, they’re supported by both a local youth worker and an employer-based supervisor to ensure they receive consistent guidance. 

Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund and Youth Futures Foundation, the programme launched in 2024 with over 400 participants and has expanded in 2025. A built-in Randomised Control Trial (RCT) will assess its impact on youth violence and long-term outcomes. In 2026, the programme will grow further, including working with over 2000 young people, completing a three-year period of delivery and investment aimed at driving long-term, evidence-based change.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the Summer Jobs programme, ensuring successful implementation across multiple regions.

• Manage the selection, contracting, and contract management of delivery partners and work with Project Officers to ensure effective fulfilment of contractual obligations.

• Coordinate timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements in line with funder expectations.

• Collaborate with IFF Research to support robust programme evaluation, including participant tracking and RCT protocols.

• Monitor programme performance and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and the Youth Endowment Fund.

• Champion the voice of young people and embed youth participation throughout programme delivery.

• Manage the relationship with our payroll company, working closely to ensure the successful delivery of Right to Work check and payroll services.

• Lead management of the programme risk register, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating risks as required.

• Mobilise our team of Project Officers to ensure effective Delivery Partner engagement with programme requirements and task manage other delivery roles to ensure effective programme management.

• Ensure compliance with UK Youth safeguarding policies and manage risk proactively across programme activities.

• Work with the Summer Jobs Employer Engagement Manager and the CRM Manager to refine and complete the development of the programme’s CRM system.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Halton Haven Hospice as one of our Fundraising Managers, leading our fundraising team to achieve ambitious targets through a diverse portfolio of income streams.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who can develop and grow our income streams, including running successful events and campaigns, building and maintaining relationships with corporate partners and working closely with our community supporters and organisations.  You will jointly manage our fundraising team and support them to deliver targets, provide excellent stewardship and raise awareness of our work in the local community.

Demonstrable experience of event management and working with budgets and financial targets is essential, as is the ability to confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Previous experience of leading a team and managing volunteers would be desirable but not essential, however you must have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and friendly.

We offer a hybrid working arrangement with your main place of work at our main hospice site in Murdishaw, Runcorn, with the expectation that you are able to travel to attend events and meetings across Halton.

This is a great opportunity to join the UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) as Communication and Resources Specialist in our Baby Friendly Initiative team.

In this role you will support the reach and impact of the programme across the UK. You will oversee production of all written materials and manage our digital presence and resources, including maintaining the website, elearning system and managing regular email newsletter mailings.

Collaborating with colleagues, you will ensure resources and training materials are accurate, up to date and appropriate for our health professional audience. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as you will liaise with various stakeholders internally and externally.

You should have proven project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Asylum Matters is looking for a dynamic campaigner committed to upholding the rights of people seeking asylum in Yorkshire & Humber and across the UK at a critical time. Asylum Matters plays a significant role in working towards positive change for refugees and people seeking asylum. We are a small team based around the UK, working locally and nationally with an extensive network of partners to advocate for progressive change in the asylum system. We work with frontline organisations and people with lived experience across the UK on a range of issues that affect people in the asylum system. We co-lead the award-winning Lift the Ban coalition campaign, that brings together almost 300 organisations calling for the right to work for people seeking asylum. The Yorkshire & Humber Campaigns Manager also lead our Lift the Ban campaign Nationally, working with our powerful coalition to raise our collective voices and call for working rights for people in the asylum system.

We are a facilitator of collaboration and joint action. Our work helps strengthen collective advocacy on asylum reform and ensures it is informed by the reality on the ground. We became an independent charity in 2021 and have ambitious plans for the future as we seek to maximise the potential of our collaborative campaigning model and identify opportunities for change at local, regional and national levels, in a challenging external environment.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with local organisations and networks in Yorkshire & Humber to develop and implement strategies for achieving change locally and nationally. They will have experience of developing and delivering impactful campaigns that have achieved change. They will be an effective communicator, able to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with partners. They will be proactive, able to spot influencing opportunities and quickly mobilise support to respond to them. They will have a commitment to the vision of a fairer and more effective asylum system, and to empowering and working with those with direct experience of it.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with lived experience of the UK asylum system, anyone with lived experience who meets the essential criteria will be granted an interview.

The Head of Media is responsible for the Spokesperson Network and helping people in NEON’s networks make the most of media opportunities. They lead on strategy, developing high-level media contacts and managing staff associated with the programme. 

You will be someone who knows how to land stories and spokespeople in the media, capitalising on media and movement moments to push the conversation in a progressive direction. You’ll have a track record of jumping on opportunities, training spokespeople to deal with hostile interviews and staying calm under pressure. You will be a reflective manager, able to establish a strategically aligned, motivated and committed team. You will have a strong  understanding of the media landscape - including how it interacts with social media. 

On a day to day basis you will manage a team which books spokespeople into broadcast media every day of the week. You’ll pitch and draft comment pieces, build new contacts across progressive spaces and have high level meetings with producers and journalists. 

This project is part of a wider Communications Hub in which you’ll play an active role helping to develop the overall strategy and direction of the project.
