The Role

Race Against Blood Cancer, a small but mighty charity with huge potential, is seeking a new General Manager to lead the organisation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Objectives of the Role:

Your responsibilities will include:

Strategic media leadership

• Develop, implement, and track a proactive, high-impact Media Strategy that supports the organisation’s objectives and aims to achieve the mission in our 2030 strategy.

• Manage the organisation's media function, including monitoring the media inbox, coordinating responses, and generating positive coverage across print, broadcast, and digital channels.

• Take lead responsibility for developing and implementing Crisis Communications plans and acting as the senior point of coordination during unexpected events.

• Provide regular performance monitoring and evaluation of media coverage and PR campaigns, using data to inform strategic adjustments.

Public Relations and stakeholder engagement

• Manage and develop the organisation’s PR activities, including leading the strategy for our Ambassador programme, and increasing positive engagement with Influencers and celebrities.

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors, producers, and relevant external stakeholders across England, Scotland and Wales.

• Keep our team of media spokespeople well trained through regular media training sessions and briefing updates.

• Work closely with the rewilding alliances in Scotland and Wales to develop shared media and PR opportunities.   

• Proactively lead the public conversation by developing and executing courageous and playful PR initiatives, stunts, surveys, and activities designed to generate widespread media engagement.

Internal coordination

• Draft and edit high-quality media materials, including press releases, briefings, reactive statements, and Q&As.

• Work closely across all teams and programmes of work within our strategy to identify and translate our work into compelling, accessible, and newsworthy stories.

• Manage the media and PR budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and providing regular reports.

• Oversee and manage external resources including freelancers, PR agencies, volunteers, and any supporting team members when required.

• Represent Rewilding Britain alongside other team members at events, exhibitions, workshops, conferences, rallies and more to advance our Media and PR objectives.

Skills, experience and behaviours

Essential
 
Education 

• An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional training, or at least six years' of relevant experience in a related subject area (e.g. Journalism, communications, media, public relations).

Experience 

• Significant experience in a senior media or PR role (manager level or above), within a sector where you have had to shift perceptions and attitudes. (At least 10 years' experience with two of these years at a senior / manager level).
• Expert proficiency and proven experience in developing and implementing media strategies that achieve measurable targets.
• Significant experience of proactively pitching stories and securing high-impact coverage across national and regional media (broadcast, print, and digital).Experience managing advanced crisis communications and/or complex reputational issues.
• Experience of guiding significant decision-making on an organisational position or point of view which will have considerable reputational impact.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This role will be full time / 35 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly. 

This post has been graded at Band 4 and the starting salary is £51,750 per annum.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

Location: You can be based near one of the following office locations - Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Newcastle.

As our Senior Evaluation Coordinator you’ll drive forward how we measure and share our organisation’s impact.

You’ll own our monitoring and evaluation framework and use this to design smart and robust ways to measure how our work creates change.

You’ll lead our annual data collection processes and cycles, collaborating with other teams to collect and share key outcomes data, both internally and externally.

From crafting data methodologies to generating insightful reporting for stakeholders, this role is ideal for someone who loves delving into data, analysing and communicating trends and working with others to make a difference.

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to own the transition to a new, user-centred Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, Bynder, at a pivotal moment in our modernisation journey.

Working with the Senior Product Manager for Brand Systems, you'll ensure Bynder evolves to meet user and organisational needs, acting as our central hub for visual brand assets. You'll support data migration, contribute to metadata and tagging strategies, and help improve our current processes to strengthen the Brand & Marketing team's vision and responsibilities.

You'll work closely with our communications teams, as well as colleagues across the organisation in frontline science, membership and fundraising roles. You'll also manage and support relationships with creative and strategic partners to make sure our systems deliver imagery that reflects the breadth of our conservation work and the diversity of the communities we represent for nature.

• Act as the day-to-day product owner for Bynder, configuring permissions and workflows.

Our partner, an established UK charity with a focus on fighting poverty by transforming access to health care services in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa seeks a highly dynamic individual for a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension. The position is part of the management team, and the post holder will be expected to lead on the financial accounting, management accounting, and budgeting for the organisation as well as taking forward some strategic finance and operations projects as we expand our programmes in existing countries. The individual will also be expected to support the Co-CEOs with administrative, compliance and IT related tasks.

Finance
•Maintain a strong control environment, ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate.
Financial accounting
•Prepare annual statutory accounts in accordance with SORP 2015.
•Prepare for the annual external audit and host auditors ensuring the audit process runs smoothly. This includes supporting  country offices in hosting their respective audits.
•Ensure annual statutory accounts are finalised and submitted to Companies House and the Charity Commission by the appropriate deadlines.

Management accounting
•Coordinate the month-end process with the Finance Officer (UK) and Programme Finance Lead, and review transaction postings.
•Prepare monthly management accounts with cash flow forecasts, modifying the format as needed to suit the preferences of senior management and the Board of Trustees.
•Prepare the annual organisational budget and mid-year reforecast.
•Improve existing budget templates to enable straightforward and transparent budgeting for donors.
Support to country offices
•Collaborate with the Programme Finance Lead on a monthly basis to reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared promptly.
•Support country office teams in fulfilling any reporting and financial compliance requirements.
•Conduct internal process reviews (internal audits) of country offices where required.
•Review the bi-weekly payment runs for the UK office and the monthly country office fund requests, ensuring cash flow planning is in place for these payments.
•Ensure asset registers are maintained appropriately.

Administration
•Support staff in conducting procurement in line with our procurement policy.
•Assist with preparation for quarterly Board meetings.
•Support office management tasks.

Other
Review and develop existing policies and procedures (e.g. the Finance Manual).

Manage and deliver our place based programmes for young people.

We believe earlier intervention is key to solving the NEET crisis. This means delivering opportunities to practise and apply skills in real-world contexts. Providing meaningful encounters with a wide range of industries and professionals. And meeting young people where they are to build their confidence.

We’re seeking a project manager to lead this work with our trusted industry partners, working in collaboration with employers, local and combined authorities, schools and charities. We are currently delivering Ignite projects in Blackpool, East Riding of Yorkshire, Liverpool, Middlesbrough, Northampton, Rochdale and London, and may take on additional projects in new locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead our Ignite place-based programmes, managing workshops, employer engagement, and volunteer coordination, while ensuring local partners stay central to design and delivery.
• Oversee programme delivery, stakeholder relationships, coordination and logistics
• Through targeted interventions ensure the right workshops and people are in place to support young people to raise their aspirations, develop their skills and bridge the gap between education and employment

This role is a hybrid of strategic and operational work.

Job Purpose

· To manage the delivery of Young Marketeers in Knowsley in five primary schools

Background to School Food Matters

At School Food Matters we believe that school food can unlock a happier, healthier, more sustainable future for every child. We want a school food system that delivers for all children, so they can enjoy nutritious, delicious and sustainable school food and leave school with an informed and positive relationship with food. To achieve this, we campaign for a better school food system, bringing the voices of children, parents, and teachers to government policy, and deliver fully funded food education programmes in schools across the country.

Young Marketeers

This much-loved programme was started in London in 2012. It is now running in 16 cities across England.  We have been commissioned to deliver the programme in Knowsley by Knowsley Public Health. The programme provides hands-on opportunities for children from primary schools to grow fruit and veg from seed to sell at their local market. Young Marketeers is also a platform for School Food Matters to promote food education to schools and communities as a way to support children to live happy and healthy lives. Children learn the art of growing veg from seed, and market traders will share their secrets on how to create a winning market stall. Primary schools will be visited by our gardener in March/April and then again in May/June and receive further tips on how to ensure a bumper crop. Then in July, they head to the market to sell their produce, and to meet the Mayor!

Key Tasks include:

· Assist with recruitment of five schools to take part in Young Marketeers

· Build and maintain relationships with teachers, teaching assistants and senior leaders to ensure the smooth running of the project

· Build and support relationships with contacts in partner organisations

· Schedule, organise and deliver

o One assembly in each school

o Two food growing sessions in each school

o One market trader training session in each school

o Market Day in the city centre in July for all schools

· Maintain accurate records relating to the programme

• Complete monitoring and evaluation forms in accordance with instructions from our Evaluation team
• Take photos of workshops and events where possible
• Keep Project Coordinator fully updated on progress

· Keep up to date with safeguarding requirements and reporting procedures

About the Role 

As Partnerships Manager: Changemakers, you’ll lead the team that supports HOST’s global community of hosted partners (HPs). You’ll oversee all Community Support activity, ensuring partners receive the clear, responsive, and values-led service that enables them to focus on making change happen. 

This role sits at the heart of the Partnership Management Circle. You’ll manage a small, high-performing team of Community Support Leads, coordinate cross-team development projects, and ensure that systems, processes, and communications evolve in step with the growing needs of our hosted partners. 

Core Responsibilities 

1. Leadership and Management 

• Line manage the Community Support Team, providing coaching, direction, and performance feedback. 

• Oversee delivery of all Community Support activities, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with HOST’s mission and tone of voice. 

• Coordinate cross-team projects that strengthen HOST’s service offer and internal collaboration. 

2. Hosted Partner Experience and Development 

• Lead the design and delivery of the Hosted Partner Journey, from onboarding to exit. 

• Oversee the production of guides, FAQs, and templates that improve hosted partner understanding and experience. 

• Manage complex partner queries and ensure appropriate resolution in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Operations. 
   

3. Systems, Processes, and SOPs 

• Develop and maintain all Community Support SOPs. 

• Support the development and testing of HOSTHub features relevant to Project Hosting. 

• Work with the Tech and Operations teams to improve efficiency and automation. 
   

4. Risk and Compliance 

• Lead risk identification, screening, and management for Hosted Partners. 

• Work closely with the Legal Circle on legal requests, contract amendments, and risk escalations. 

• Maintain accurate documentation of risk assessments and resolutions. 
   

5. Pricing, Performance and Development 

• Set and manage pricing within the approved HOST fee range. 

• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) with support from the Data Analyst. 

• Lead annual Project Hosting service reviews and contribute to continuous improvement. 
   

6. Collaboration and Communications 

• Work with Communications to deliver partner-facing materials, including the Project Hosting Bulletin. 

• Ensure all partner resources reflect HOST’s empowering, expert, and empathetic tone. 

Required Experience 

• 5+ years' experience in operations, partnerships, or programme delivery within a not-for-profit, social enterprise, or international NGO. 

• 3+ years' experience managing partner or client relationships, ideally across multiple regions or cultures. 

• 2+ years' experience leading and developing a small team, including setting goals, coaching, and performance management. 

• Confident managing systems, workflows, and digital tools (such as ClickUp, Zendesk, Jotform, or CRM platforms). 

• Proven ability to coordinate across departments and disciplines to resolve complex partner or client issues. 

• Experience designing, documenting, and improving organisational processes or SOPs to drive efficiency. 

• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into service or system improvements. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent HOST’s tone and values in partner-facing communications. 

• Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-moving, distributed teams.

We are looking for someone with a high level of knowledge and experience relating to EEDI and culture. You will be familiar with relevant legislation and best practice. You will also have experience in leading development and change in organisations.

The EEDI & Culture Manager will be working with people across the organisation at all levels. This includes the leaders of the Party and governance bodies, employees and activists. They will have the opportunity to shape and influence the Green Party's approach to increasing diversity and help cultivate an inclusive, equal and equitable culture across the organisation.
