About this role
This is a joint role delivered by Class 13 as part of two interconnected programmes in Lambeth. One is a long-term embedded pilot working deeply with two local schools to reimagine school culture from the inside out. The other is part of a borough-wide initiative commissioned by SEL ICB and supported by Black Thrive to improve emotional wellbeing for Black and mixed heritage children.
Both strands aim to create more human, equitable school environments—and we are seeking someone committed to walking alongside families, schools, and systems to help make this happen.
While the role is relational at its core, it also involves managing light but essential administrative and reporting tasks particularly during key programme milestones. This includes maintaining accurate records, preparing summaries of engagement sessions, and handling transcripts to ensure learning is captured and shared.
Role Summary
We are seeking a deeply reflective and relational School & Community Engagement Partner who isn’t afraid to ask bold questions or sit with uncomfortable truths.
This role isn’t about quick fixes or ticking engagement boxes—it’s about nurturing trust, challenging old habits, and reimagining what school can be. You’ll be at the heart of a long-term transformation project, working deeply with two Lambeth schools while also contributing to a broader borough-wide initiative that invites families, staff, and communities to imagine something better—together.
At its core, this work is about shifting power. About listening with care, convening with purpose, and walking alongside parents, carers, teachers, and school leaders as they navigate what change can look like when it’s built on affirmation, curiosity, and collective responsibility.
You’ll help strengthen the connection between schools and families through sustained relationships, collective inquiry, and shared action. Some of your work will be intensive and embedded, walking alongside schools to shift culture from the inside out. Other aspects will stretch wider gathering insight, surfacing patterns, and shaping ideas that ripple beyond a single setting.
This is not a traditional outreach role. It’s connective tissue—bridging classrooms, communities, and change. You’ll be a steady presence: listening, facilitating, building trust, and helping schools reflect not just on what they do, but why.
The School & Community Engagement Partner will report to the Head of Programmes and the primary lead work closely with school leadership, teachers, and local organisations to transform parent-school relationships.
Main Responsibilities
1. Deepen relationships and build community

Build consistent, trust-based relationships with parents, carers, staff, and wider community members, particularly those who have been historically marginalised by school systems

Be a visible and approachable presence at parents’ evenings, community events, school gates, and day-to-day school life

Support families to move from being consulted to being co-creators ensuring their insight shapes decisions, practice, and school culture
-
Foster connections not just between families and schools, but across families themselves, creating the conditions for mutual support and collective action
2. Walk alongside schools as they shift culture

Work closely with staff across both pilot schools supporting reflection, relationship-building, and democratic practice

Collaborate with school leaders, governors, and the wider Class 13 team to surface insight, challenge deficit thinking, and support community-led transformation

Contribute to family-led policy change projects, helping create space for shared decision-making and power-sharing in schools
-
Support the rhythm and routines of the embedded pilot showing up consistently in school life, from attending assemblies to noticing small shifts in culture

Lead structured interviews with teachers participating in the programme, creating a relational space to gather reflective insights using agreed guides.
3. Facilitate wider listening and engagement

Deliver structured engagement sessions in local schools as part of the SEL ICB programme, using the Appreciative Inquiry model (training provided)

Work with staff and parents to map what currently exists, identify challenges and possibilities, and co-develop practical, community-rooted solutions

4. Learn, reflect, and grow

Participate fully in Class 13’s foundational learning programme (4 full-day sessions)

Engage in self-directed learning as part of the ICB programme

Contribute to monitoring, reflection, and participatory evaluation of both the embedded pilot and the wider borough programme

Maintain accurate records of meetings, interviews, and engagement sessions, including producing clear summaries and contributing to project documentation.

Join monthly peer forums and learning spaces across the borough to share insight, deepen practice, and support collective learning.
Skills & Experience
Essential

A background in community engagement, education, youth work or organising—particularly with parents, carers, or families

Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to hold space for difficult conversations with care and clarity

Deep listening skills and the ability to build relationships across difference, especially in school or public sector contexts

Experience supporting individuals or groups to move from consultation to co-creation, shaping outcomes together

Confidence navigating school spaces (including SLT, teachers, governors, parents, and young people)

Strong organisational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities across different sites

A deep commitment to equity and justice, and a willingness to reflect on your own practice

Ability to manage and organise documentation, transcripts, and basic reporting to meet programme and funder requirements.

The Recruitment team is responsible for sourcing, selecting and hiring for 500 places for Approach Social Work (previously known as the Frontline programme) in local authorities across England.
You will be joining us at our busiest time, and will have day to day logistical and administration responsibilities with focus on supporting applicants through the selection stages of our programme, Approach Social Work.
You will work with the Selection team and share responsibilities between other Selection Coordinators to ensure the delivery of a highly effective and efficient recruitment process and to ensure the candidate experience is positive throughout. This role would suit someone who has had some experience interacting with customers, for example in admin support, retail, hospitality, customer service, or similar.

Some key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating virtual assessment centres; manage scheduling, liaising with assessors and stakeholders, troubleshooting minor technical issues with the platform, and overseeing the smooth running of the day.
- Managing the logistics involved in planning and delivering over 40 assessment centre days (e.g. responding to candidate queries, monitoring candidate sign up, scheduling assessors).
- Tracking and monitoring candidate information using our online customer relationship management system, virtual assessment platform and Microsoft Excel using careful attention to detail.

About you and the role
The purpose of this role is to manage operational delivery of our School by School Programme, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
You will be supported by our Chief Innovation Officer, and manage our Chef Trainers delivering our School by School interventions. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Impact, our School Engagement Manager and our Research Supervisor.
Your role will oversee our School by School interventions, delivered across multiple school sites. This role will be primarily focused in London, but will include supporting schools in locations across the UK as we develop new hubs. To work with the Chief Innovation Officer to ensure that all programme delivery of school interventions is delivered in line with our vision, values and ethos.

To support and manage our Chef Trainers to ensure that programme delivery is carried out in the most effective and efficient way.

Liaise and manage relationships with the Senior Leadership in the schools and academies we work with, being the key contact for operational delivery of programmes.

To ensure that service level agreements are agreed with schools and that our delivery matches the agreements.

To monitor costs of the programme delivery, reporting progress of programmes to the Chief Innovation Officer, identifying any risks or delays to programme delivery.

At all times to ensure that our school interventions are being delivered in a legally compliant, cost-effective way.

Work closely with the Chef Trainers to ensure our advice to, and work in, schools is legally compliant.

Support the Chef Trainers in monitoring legal safety compliance in schools, promptly flagging major concerns to the Chief Innovation Officer and where appropriate, the key school contact.

Ensuring learning and evaluation is embedded in our programme delivery, working with the Chef Trainers to document best practice learnt from each programme.

To work alongside the Director of Partnerships & Impact and Research Supervisor to ensure that we’re collecting accurate and relevant data to measure our impact, evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the programmes, conducting regular assessments and measurements.

Work with the Research Supervisor to support preparing reports on the impact of the School by School programmes, including statistical data, trends, and success stories.

Work with the School Engagement Manager to maintain accurate data records and ensure our contacts database is up to date with relevant chef, school lead and engagement information.

Your skills and experience

About the role:
The Alcohol Behavioural Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioural change related to alcohol consumption.
As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. Programme & Intervention Development

About you:
This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioural science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioural interventions.

Job Summary:
The Mental Wellbeing Manager will lead Manor Gardens’ culturally competent, trauma-informed mental health work with young men aged 18–25 funded by City Bridge Foundation, and oversee our wider wellbeing programme, funded through other sources including individual giving. Role Overview and Purpose:
The Mental Health Nurse is a key member of our team, focused on delivering high-quality mental health services to young men in the community. This role requires a proactive approach to engage with individuals who have not previously accessed mainstream mental health support, using culturally sensitive methods to build trust and promote mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
1. City Bridge Mental Health Programme Delivery (50%)
· Ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic and early intervention support for young men aged 18–25, including one-to-one and group support.
· Oversee work delivered by sessional psychotherapeutic staff and ensure quality, safeguarding, and continuity.
· Facilitate or coordinate safe, inclusive peer support spaces in community settings.
· Use culturally competent and trauma-informed practices to build trust and engagement among the target group.

· Oversee the accredited training of 16 young adults as Peer Mental Health Mentors (two cohorts) in partnership with CANDI and ensure additional training in safeguarding, cultural competency and equalities
· Provide 121 support to Peer Mental Health Mentors and ensure they access clinical supervision
3. Management of Wellbeing Team and Sessional Staff (20%)
· Line-manage two Activities Workers responsible for delivering adult wellbeing activities (e.g. gardening, yoga, ESOL, conversation cafés).
· Provide supervision, direction, and support to ensure delivery aligns with MGWT’s values and trauma-informed approach.
· Oversee a pool of sessional facilitators and volunteers, ensuring coordination, safeguarding, and quality of delivery.

4. Monitoring and Evaluation (10%)

You will work in schools and in community settings across the North West of England to generate impact for young people using Khulisa’s trauma-informed approach. Main Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Delivery:

About the job
The Area-Based Allocation (ABA) Consortium is designed to support local actors in Ukraine by facilitating access to quality funding and enabling them to scale up their programming without being burdened by excessive bureaucracy. The Consortium operates as a fund mechanism, incorporating a due diligence process, calls for proposals, fund disbursement, and tailored support throughout project implementation.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Party, and in close coordination with Consortium partners and DRC colleagues, the Area Programme Manager (APM) (ABA Consortium) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the programme. This includes both managerial and technical leadership in the delivery of activities, disbursement of grants to civil society organizations (CSOs), provision of technical assistance, reporting, and oversight of monitoring and evaluation processes.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Grant Management and Compliance
- Support the Chief of Party developing the operations procedures for the fund management, vetting process, due diligence, tiers classification and allocation process.
- Ensure vetting and due diligence are implemented in a timely manner and the results inform the capacity building plans.
- Participate in the operational review of the proposals submitted by the CSOs.

The role of the Visitor Experience Duty Manager is to support the Visitor Experience Team (VE) with the management of gallery opening hours and the events calendar. Motivating and leading the VE Team, on a day-to-day basis, providing an inspiring, engaging and inclusive visitor experience for broad and diverse audiences.
This role will cover weekends, evening events and occasional leave days for the VE Team. Visitor Experience Duty Managers fulfil Duty Management responsibilities for the building to ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors and exhibitions/events.
Responsibilities
Operational and Health & Safety
- The VEDM (Visitor Experience Duty Manager) is responsible for opening and / or closing the building on their shift, and for the setting of alarms. They are also required, in an emergency, to organise maintenance of the building, including intruder and fire alarms. All Duty Managers are included on the call out list for possible out of hours alarm issues.
- In the event of an emergency or fire alarm the VEDM is required to manage a full building evacuation and work as the contact person to the fire brigade.
- To ensure that the building is safe and clean by checking all areas before the building is open to the public or before an event. Turning on/off all lighting and replacing bulbs where necessary, checking fuse boards and making minor repairs, cleaning toilets when necessary. Continue to monitor throughout the day, allocating deliveries to appropriate storage areas, checking toilet facilities and following general risk assessment for areas of prohibited public access.
- To manage and adhere to all Health and Safety and building security practices, including completing risk assessments for events. On the shifts when the Duty Manger is the only key holder in the building they must not leave the premises.
- To be responsible for upholding the premises licence according to the Licensing Act 2003, to ensure the café/bar adheres to alcohol licensing laws and to oversee the selling and consumption of alcohol within the building and any other licensed activities. To ensure that capacity numbers for events are not exceeded.
- The Duty Manager is required to turn on / off the show and ensure it is functioning correctly during gallery opening hours. Also, to ensure a curator or the Production Manager is informed of any faults, breakages etc.
- Lead and motivate Visitor Experience team members and volunteers to ensure the delivery of high standards of visitor and artwork care, safety, security, visitor welcome, wayfinding, building presentation and housekeeping.
- Brief the Visitor Experience Team Members and volunteers daily about their duties for the shift and ensure they have all the necessary resources in order to provide an excellent standard of customer service to all visitors.
- To be a First Aider and know the location of the First Aid boxes.
- To cover the break of the shop staff and/or VE team and to provide cover in the galleries, shop or Information Desk during busy periods or in an emergency.
- To ensure that Shop takings are secured in the safe.
- To read any emails or hand over notes at the beginning of his / her shift and to communicate to the Visitor Services Manager (VSM) any issues arising during their shift and record incidents in the incident log book.

Visitor Experience
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Visitor Experience team and other gallery departments providing services that contribute to visitor experience, (including the cafe and shop) to ensure a consistent and seamless service is provided to our visitors.
- To be able to give short tours/presentations to schools/groups about the current exhibition.
- To deal with all general enquiries and problems that may arise during the shift in a calm and professional manner with both customers and staff.
- Work with VSM to manage group booking enquiries sensitively and efficiently.
- Work with the VSM to develop projects that will build on and enhance the visitor experience.
- Work with the VSM to coach and develop the Visitor Experience team to ensure their skills and knowledge of gallery activities are up-to-date.
- Assist the VSM with the delivery of induction and training sessions for Visitor Experience team members and volunteers.
Events
- To assist in the coordination of events with event organisers and other key staff to ensure that all arrangements have been made for staff, equipment and booking of each event.
- To support the events and hires programme at the gallery, including setting up of AV equipment and moving furniture for events.
- Work with Commercial Manager to keep up to date with hire enquiries and show prospective clients available spaces if required.
- To provide a warm welcome to hirers, visiting speakers, artists, and ensure they have everything they need for their event.
- Complete event reports for all events and distribute VSM and event organisers.
- Checking online sales and tickets, assisting with processing sales and bookings for events when necessary. Ensure that all visitor figures and sales are recorded after each event.
Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent communication skills demonstrating the ability to deal with colleagues, visitors and external partners.
- Experience of working with the public and of providing excellent customer service, preferably gained in an arts/entertainment environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the willingness to be involved in the practical set up of events.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
- Experience of using and setting up AV equipment, lifting and carrying equipment, chairs and tables. An enthusiasm for art and commitment to the work of Modern Art Oxford.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and late nights (occasionally until 3am).

Dr Jenner’s House, The Chantry, is a site of profound global historical significance, recognized as the birthplace of vaccination. It was here that Edward Jenner, a country doctor and enlightenment figure, conducted his groundbreaking work in the 1790s, leading to the world's first vaccine and a medical breakthrough that forever changed humanity.

The Opportunity
The Jenner Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to join our team during a pivotal phase of growth and development, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of a globally significant heritage site.
Working collaboratively in a small team with the Museum Director, Chairman, and Trustees, you will be instrumental in driving our fundraising efforts, securing vital income, and building sustainable relationships that will ensure the long-term preservation and educational outreach of Dr Jenner’s House. A key focus will be on developing and implementing a robust capital fundraising strategy and cultivating major grant giving organisations and individual donors.
This role is funded for 18 months through the NLHF and is critical to achieving our ambitious longer-term goals, leading up to the international celebrations around the 50th anniversary of smallpox eradication in 2030 and beyond. Although there will be a requirement to be present in the Museum at certain times, we are open to discussions on hybrid or flexible working arrangements for this post.
Key Responsibilities
As our Development Manager, you will:
Strategy & Leadership:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the museum’s comprehensive Fundraising Strategy, establishing clear action plans, KPIs, and targets.
- Establish and facilitate a Fundraising Leadership Group comprising Trustees, staff, volunteers, and external consultants to leverage expertise and resources for fundraising activities.
- Ensure the Fundraising Strategy incorporates ongoing work with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, particularly for the restoration of the Temple of Vaccinia and The Chantry.
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship:
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing individual donors, high-net-worth individuals, corporates, and foundations to build a robust pipeline of future support.
- Drive a proactive stewardship programme for all potential and existing donors, ensuring exceptional donor care and fostering sustained engagement.
- Support the development and delivery of the museum’s patron schemes in close collaboration with the Chairman of the Trustees.
Income Generation & Grant Management:
- Identify and review new avenues for potential capital and revenue grant funding opportunities (unrestricted and restricted).
- Lead and coordinate compelling grant funding applications to a diverse range of potential funding bodies, including NGOs, Trusts, Foundations, philanthropists, and local authorities.
- Inspire new and existing supporters to join the museum’s membership and/or donor schemes, significantly increasing the museum’s income (both revenue and capital) to meet agreed targets.
- Ensure grant-funded projects are appropriately managed, and all requisite monitoring and evaluation reports are submitted to funding bodies on time.
Communications & Engagement:
- Produce engaging copy and content for newsletters and assist with external communications, including social media, press releases, and other PR and marketing opportunities, to promote fundraising initiatives.
- Organise and manage fundraising and donor cultivation events, ranging from low-level individual giving activities to major high-level events, especially plans for the 50th anniversary of the eradication of smallpox in 2030.
With such a small staff team we are looking for a candidate who is able to work collaboratively and to support other staff and Trustees in securing the future for the Trust.

Global Health Partnerships (GHP – formerly THET) is a global health charity working in partnership with governments, health institutions, and international bodies to train health workers and strengthen health systems across 31 countries. We do this through grants management and capacity building, alongside research, convening and advocacy towards the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). At the centre of our approach, is the model of Health Partnerships, long-term relationships between UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) health institutions, which improve health services through the reciprocal exchange of skills, knowledge, and experience. At the heart of our work is vision of a world where everyone has access to healthcare.
GHP is seeking a consultant to conduct a study examining the work of GHWP in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The consultant will lead investigations into the benefits and impact of HP health systems and health workforce interventions under the DHSC-funded GHWP.
This study will explore and examine the value added of the Health Partnership approach to the health systems of the three partner countries. While the effectiveness and impact of health workforce and health system strengthening interventions have been highlighted through GHWP reports and sharing and learning events in each of the three countries, insights and results have not yet been sufficiently synthesised or documented in a way that supports advocacy, resource mobilisation and policy positioning.
This study will review and examine existing literature and data, including published and grey literature, GHWP reports, reports from other DHSC-funded GHP projects, and other available documentation on the benefits of the Health Partnership model (see Related Papers section). Some primary qualitative data collection and analysis may be required.
Contractual Responsibilities
Reports to: The Technical Director, based in the UK, who will provide technical oversight of the study. The Consultant will be responsible for managing their workload and conducting the activities in a timely and efficient manner as set out in this document. The Consultant will agree the specific focus areas for the study with the Technical Director and GHP team. The Consultant will also have regular reporting points with the Head of the Evidence and Impact Team and other GHP colleagues, as required.
The contract will run from August 2025 over a 4-month period. The Consultant will submit a technical proposal and budget of up to £20,000. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Postgraduate degree in Global Health, Public Health, Health Policy, International Development, or a related field.
· Proven experience in health systems and/or health workforce research or evaluation
· Understanding of the health partnership approach/mode, ideally involving countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, or Kenya.
· Familiarity with the health systems in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. Additionally, familiarity with the Health Partnership model and the UK’s global health engagement strategies is desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
· Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
· Ability to critically appraise and synthesise evidence from diverse sources (e.g., programme reports, academic literature, policy documents).
