Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are recruiting for a Communications Officer who will coordinate our internal, Network-wide, and external communications. Ensuring excellent communications across the staff team, and the effective promotion of its work.

You will be a highly motivated communications specialist with a proven track record of internal and external communications. You will have excellent planning and prioritisation skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks, along with prior proven experience managing social media channels that results in an impact of campaigns and engagement. 

Key Tasks

• To create content and coordinate internal communications across the Network staff team, ensuring the effective development and implementation of appropriate channels 
• To develop and maintain a communications content calendar when and how the Network’s activity will be effectively communicated
• To coordinate communications across the wider Network, including PTCs, Regional Hubs, and partners, including through the production and dissemination of a regular digital newsletter 
• To develop, post and oversee content for the Network’s social media channels to promote the effectiveness of the Network’s approach and the impact of PTCs and commissioners 
• To establish and maintain appropriate media links to ensure that the reality of poverty, and the impact of commissioners in seeking to alleviate it, is effectively shared
• To support the Network’s parliamentary engagement and its national programmes to ensure that its work is shared impactfully 
• To provide an appropriate level of support to PTCs as they develop their social media and engage with the media appropriately
• To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Operations Manager

You will be a highly motivated person with a proven track record of developing and delivering strategies to influence policy and political stakeholders to achieve change, ideally within a parliamentary or government setting.

Key Tasks

• To develop, with appropriate input from the Director and Partnership Manager, the Network’s approach to engaging with parliamentarians (Politics Alongside) in line with its values and practices 
• To ensure that Poverty Truth Commissioners are at the heart of the Network’s parliamentary engagement
• To develop and, where appropriate, establish links with UK and devolved Parliaments and governments to promote the work of the Network 
• To coordinate and help to deliver parliamentary events on behalf of the Network, including mapping topics and attendees, working with other partners as appropriate 
• To support the development of effective links with Combined Authorities and other devolved administrations
• To work closely with members of the Amplify Team to promote its groups proposals for change
• To support parliamentary engagement, including through written briefings, for the Network’s other national programmes, including Economics for All
• To work with the Communications and Learning & Evaluation Officers to promote and identify best practice to governments and parliaments
• To undertake other appropriate duties as requested by the Partnership Manager

Context and purpose of role

We are looking for a Digital and Website Officer to join our Campaigns and Communications Team. The role holder will take a leading role in digital marketing, optimising our website using a data-led approach, and maintaining our digital asset management system.

Working with colleagues across the Supporter Engagement & Experience division and the wider business, they will also contribute to the development and delivery of marketing activities that deliver against brand and income targets.

They will work to upskill people across the organisation – including volunteers - to achieve greater impact with digital communications.

Key responsibilities

• Website – act as the GB web admin, working in partnership with the Digital Technical team to manage user journeys and ensure content is high quality and search engine optimised in line with the website strategy.

• Digital marketing – Create and implement digital marketing activity in line with the agreed digital strategy and against agreed return on investment targets. Create and implement digital marketing plans to support advocacy and marketing initiatives for our programmes using relevant digital channels for the target audience

• Content development – source / develop content and assets such as case studies, videos, blogs and images to drive engagement across digital channels including the Ramblers app. Ensure all content is of high quality, permissioned and easy for colleagues to find within the digital asset management system.

• Insight– undertake regular reporting and apply data insights to shape content, campaign and creative outputs, applying a test and learn approach.
   
• Campaigning - Support policy and public affairs, to influence and deliver messaging to local or national agencies to maintain and improve access to the outdoors for all.

• Fundraising - Support fundraising with business development and income generation through developing and responding to opportunities that meet the aims of the Ramblers and achieve income targets. 

• Volunteering - Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer experience, promoting alignment with our values and ensuring volunteers have the necessary resources, training, and ongoing support to effectively contribute to our work

Marketing - multi-channel marketing experience incl website,digital advertising (Meta, Google (PPC, Display), Google grant) & social media

Digital – experience of managing a range of digital channels including developing and managing a complex website set up, working with a CMS, SEO copy development and Google Analytics set up and management. Knowledge of improving user experience and engagement on owned channels

Branding –understanding of the importance of branding to ensure that everything we do across our comms and our activities helps build the brand

Insights – a curious mind that allows you to develop and apply data and audience insights to strengthen performance

You will join a small, high-performing team responsible for generating £5 million per year from individual giving, legacies, grants and corporate partners, all to deliver the Ramblers ambition for a future where everyone can enjoy the benefits of walking in nature.

Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. You will create high-quality, compelling campaign materials and ensure an excellent donor experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Income generation

• Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
• Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
• Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
  • Developing propositions and cases for support
  • Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content
  • Project management to ensure delivery on schedule and within budget
  • Managing relationships with agencies and suppliers including design and print
• Manage a portfolio of affiliate fundraising campaigns

Donor stewardship

• Ensure the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and reporting
• Effectively manage communications with supporters, including ensuring that donations are thanked appropriately, managing fundraising inboxes, and responding to queries
• Working with the Production & Innovation Manager, identify a pipeline of potential mid- and high-value donors for stewardship and conversion

Data and reporting

• Produce campaign and programme level reporting and analysis
• Work closely with the data team to ensure selections are accurate, timely and relevant to our various audiences, and use income data to make recommendations for future campaigns
• Maintain accurate, up to date and compliant records of individual giving campaigns and appeals
• Provide regular financial reports and reforecasts to the Product & Innovation Manager and Head of Fundraising

Relationships

• Build strong working relationships with staff within various functions of the Ramblers
• Work with other members of the Fundraising, Communications and Supporter Care teams to ensure that all supporter communications are part of an integrated supporter journey

The Person

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience working within a target-driven fundraising or direct marketing team, ideally within an individual giving context
• Experience of managing fundraising or marketing projects across a range of channels, such as direct mail, social media and email
• Experience of data-driven marketing campaigns, including segmentation and campaign analysis to meet objectives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent creative skills, including the ability to write compelling, accurate and persuasive copy across a range of channels
• Competent in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience of working with CRM systems

Desirable:

• Experience of working with the Salesforce CRM
• Experience of legacy marketing, or an understanding of charity legacy giving
• Experience of using digital marketing tools including Mailchimp and social media advertising platforms
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and guidance, including UK data protection law and the Code of Fundraising Practice

About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

About the Role 

Building on an 8-figure philanthropic commitment made by Oak Foundation, the Development Manager will play a key role in securing the long-term viability and success of the Migrant Futures Institute. Working with the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and the MFI Director, the post holder will ensure that fundraising is an embedded strategic priority. They will develop and deliver outcome-led fundraising strategies that work within the broader University fundraising and communications environment and achieve philanthropic fundraising targets. 

About the Candidate 

You will demonstrate your ability to make things happen, to manage and move relationships forward, to communicate inspiring messages and build warm relationships that deliver support for the Migrant Futures Institute at Goldsmiths. Marketing Officer

Core responsibilities within your role will be to:

• Email communications - management and scheduling of all email communications to the organisation's database and external audiences, management of email communication's calendar, management of Email Service Provider (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), maintaining integrity of email contact list, and writing copy, building, segmenting and sending emails.
• Support the Marketing Manager with planning, copywriting and coordination of the marketing of the organisation's campaigns across paid, organic and earned media.
• Take the lead on delivery and evaluation of specific marketing campaigns.
• CRM reporting, including setting up dashboards, creating effective reports and working closely with Product & Technology team to ensure CRM is being used to its full potential.
• Ongoing analysis of email reporting and performance to inform future marketing and communications strategies and plans.
• Ensure all emails are on brand; both look and feel and tone of voice.
• Ensure all email campaigns adhere to GDPR consent and data capture regulations.
• Work with colleagues in national teams (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), and other departments to plan and execute regional email campaigns.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to implement, monitor and develop automated e-communications journeys to enhance both marketing and customer service experiences for the organisation's audiences.
• Manage any printed marketing materials such as leaflets, pull up banners, booklets to ensure they are on brand and produced in an environmentally friendly way.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Experience of managing email campaigns for a variety of audiences, including drafting content, Email Service Provider (ESP) management (ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud), A/B testing and performance analysis.
• A good understanding of email data (open rate, click through rate, click through open rate etc.) and how to analyse it in order to inform on-going activity.
• Experience of using a range of analytics tools to help monitor, optimise and evaluate campaign performance including Google Analytics, CRMs and ESPs.
• Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems (ideally Salesforce) to segment audiences, create campaigns, target audiences and report on activity.
• Experience of managing marketing and communications campaigns across owned, paid and earned channels.
• Management of campaigns and implementing tracking, undertaking evaluation based on performance of KPIs.
• Experience of copywriting and producing content for a range of channels and audiences.

• To have a hands-on approach to progressing the Richard Whitehead Foundation
• Regular contact with trustees most notably the Chair, and President.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Database Officer to support our Public Fundraising team.

This exciting Database Officer role will support the data team with data imports, data selections and processing of income.

The Foundation has just started using a new CRM after undergoing a CRM migration from Raiser’s Edge, a very exciting time to be joining the Foundation! This role, alongside with other members of the data team, will liaise with the CRM Project Teams to support and ensure the successful outcome of the project and get us up to BAU.

What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email sign ups etc.in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with Database Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR in particular relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the new CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Beacon, Raiser’s Edge or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
• Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.

A well known local charity VASA is a small charity (turnover £350k) supporting 4,000 people across Rugby, Solihull East and South Warwickshire with community activities, dementia services and our community transport service.

Following the decision of our long serving Charity Manager to move on to pastures new, we are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Interim Charity Manager for an inital period of 6 months with the potential to be extended dependant subject to results and funding. The Interim will lead the charity forward building on relationships, strategy and partnerships fostered by our outgoing CM. 

Our volunteer-led services have grown in the last decade to meet the growing needs of our community thanks to our dedicated volunteers and a forward thinking Board of Trustees and ambitious strategic plan.

The interim postholder will be expected to continue on from the work of the outgoing CM and undertake an indepth review of the business, working with the trustees on the next phase of our strategic plan and look for a bold funding and operating strategy.

To continue our good work and move VASA forward the apointee will be expected to:

• Identify growth opportunities for this service either geographically and/or by expanding the types of service offerings and ensure this is staffed to enable maximum growth.
• Maximise the newly installed transport support software to ensure that VASA is obtaining optimum benefit from it.
• Seek opportunities for expanding the dementia day services offering and the number of clients served.

As external grant funding is vital for VASA the appointee will be expected to:

• Work with the local authorities currently providing grant funding with the pupose of:
  • Making clear the value of the services VASA provides.
  • Securing, and if possible, increase the current level of funding.
• Seek other funding opportunities.

As financial security and governance is paramount to the charity the appointee must:

• Ensure full compliance (Charities Commission and Companies House).
• Develop new partnerships and nurture existing partnerships.
• Lead on fundraising to ensure financial sustainability
