Job Title: Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker (Nights)

Location: Lewisham. This service does not have step free access

Salary: £15,000 

Shift Pattern: Part time role covering gaps within the rota which may mean one week working 10.5 hours, and the following week working 21 hours. Shifts will vary Monday to Sunday and will be pre-arranged on a monthly rota. You may be required to work outside these hours as per resident and service requirements. 

About the Role

We're hiring a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Lewisham. New Hope is a 24 hour supported accommodation service for adult males with diagnosis of mental health and convictions. As a Forensic Mental Health Recovery Worker you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. We support our residents in developing coping strategies and building supportive relationships, with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. 

You will support with tenancy matters proactively, providing responsive support and fostering a positive environment where residents feel secure and valued. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with residents, offering both practical assistance and emotional support.
• Equip residents with the necessary skills, experiences, networks, and training to help them transition into semi‑independent or independent living.
• Provide support with personal needs as required by residents.
• Take part in, and encourage residents to engage in, the delivery and development of projects, initiatives, training opportunities, and volunteering activities.
• Manage a caseload of residents, contributing to the creation and review of support plans, risk assessments, and progress reviews.
• Recognise early indicators of declining mental health and implement suitable interventions to prevent crisis situations.
• Promote financial and economic wellbeing while supporting residents in reintegrating into the community.
• Complete safeguarding referrals and other relevant referrals when required.

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Brent. Step‑free access is available at our main office. However, due to the nature of the role, you may be required to visit homes and other buildings that do not provide step‑free access

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday on a rota which can range between 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00 and 10:00 - 18:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and participant requirements. 

About the Role

We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, and substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. Join us on the journey to empowering people to be the best versions of themselves! 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Support participants will all aspects of their housing needs to support them ensure sustainable housing.
• Co-create tailored support plans which are centred towards the participants needs.
• Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.
• Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.
• Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.

We are seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer for an immediate start. About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. You will have an understanding of criminal justice settings and will have the ability to build meaningful rapport with others who have multiple and complex needs and backgrounds. We are looking for a dedicated team to deliver person centred and bespoke trauma informed support to vulnerable women in Luton. This new service will provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for women facing sexual exploitation and substance dependency – a place they can truly call home. Through stable, person-centred care, you'll play a vital role in empowering women to rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. 

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 Responsibilities Include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community

At Alzheimer’s Society, we believe that with the right support, people living with dementia can continue to live meaningful, fulfilling lives in the communities they know and love. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play an important part in making that possible.
This is a role built on conversations, trust and understanding. You might meet someone soon after their diagnosis and help them make sense of what lies ahead. You might reassure a carer who is feeling overwhelmed. Or you might bring people together through our Singing for the Brain group, creating moments of joy, connection and confidence.

This is a home based role, but much of your time will be spent out in the community across County Durham, meeting people face to face and building relationships with local services. As a Dementia Adviser, you will be a trusted source of guidance and support for people living with dementia and those who care for them. Your work will help people feel more confident, informed and able to make decisions about their lives.

- Provide person centred, outcomes focused information, advice and support to people living with dementia and their carers
- Support people to work towards their personal goals, whether that is maintaining independence, improving wellbeing or accessing the right services

What does this role do?

Yeldall Manor is a Christian recovery centre for men overcoming drug and alcohol addiction. We’re looking for a caring, motivated person to help maintain a clean, comfortable, homely environment while supporting residents as they rebuild their lives.
