About the Role
We're hiring a Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Enfield. In this role, you will support residents with complex mental health needs. Offering 21 beds in a 24 hour supported accommodation to adults with complex mental health needs. We are here to promote independence and give our residents the tools needed to fulfil their lives in the community independently.
As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, reablement, and rehabilitation, providing person centred and trauma informed support in a psychologically informed environment (PIE), to empower residents to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. Here, you’ll support individuals transitioning from complex care or acute mental health services to a structured rehabilitation setting. Working closely with the mental health trust community rehabilitation team, you’ll help residents overcome challenging behaviour's and support medication compliance, making a real difference every day. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide tailored support to residents to help them achieve their personal goals and outcomes. This may involve contributing to and developing support plans, conducting risk assessments, participating in reviews, and attending case meetings.
- Deliver all required aspects of the service efficiently and consistently. This includes welfare checks, support sessions, safeguarding monitoring, risk assessments, and involvement in training and development.
- Ensure residents fully understand their rights and responsibilities, and have access to appropriate tools, resources, and support networks to achieve their goals.
- Help design, lead, and encourage participation in a range of projects, group sessions, and community-based activities.
- Create an empowering and enabling environment where individuals are supported to make informed decisions and take control of their own lives.

Job Title: Children and Family Worker
Location: Based on site in West London (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (One Saturday once every 3 months instead of a Friday) on a rolling rota including 07:30 - 15:30, 09:00 - 17:00 and 11:30 - 19:30. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays
About the role
As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities.
You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support parents to build confidence, parenting skills, and resilience while promoting positive family relationships.
- Deliver age-appropriate play, learning, and developmental activities that support children's education, wellbeing, and personal growth.
- Facilitate family support sessions and interventions to rebuild relationships, improve life skills, and address the impact of trauma.
- Develop and maintain trusting, trauma-informed relationships with children, families, and residents, providing both practical and emotional support.
- Contribute to support planning, risk assessments, safeguarding actions, and regular reviews to ensure residents' safety and progress.
- Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, mental health issues, incidents, and emergencies, ensuring effective intervention and support.
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and confidential information in line with GDPR and organisational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, social services, and community partners to deliver integrated support and improve outcomes for children and families.
About you
We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed.
- A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds
- Experience in supporting mothers in helping children transition to new schools
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging play sessions, after school activities, and family events as well as religious and national celebrations
- Confidence in working with children who may have behavioural challenges, being able to signpost to early intervention services
- Experience/ability to support children with special educational needs or additional behavioural needs

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) on day shifts with a rolling rota. You will support residents recently released from prison in a residential setting, helping them reintegrate into the community. You will work with residents to create tailored support plans, identify their needs, goals, and skills, and motivate them to reach their potential. You will encourage engagement in activities and the community, provide tools for life skills, and ensure effective risk management with a strong focus on public protection. The team work closely with one another and support which achieving overall service KPI's, and you will be part of making a greater change. Everyday looks different so this is perfect for someone who wants a role where no two days are the same.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
- Engaging with residents, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage them with other people, communities, and opportunities
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service
- Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins

About You
We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment, be proactive, and have resilience to challenges. You will have insight into criminal justice settings and the ability to connect with people from varied backgrounds who face multiple and complex challenges. You will thrive working within the team as well as independently, and be comfortable with working with people who have different offending histories. We're looking for someone who can build trust and rapport with others, and has a positive outlook, which can be used to support others. We also look for:
- Ability to manage own caseload and determine priorities with time management. Able to use own initiative
- Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, challenging behaviours or a good understanding of the sector.
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
- Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and mental health
- Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback

What we are looking for

The Role
As our Senior Programme Manager: Freelance and Entrepreneurship, you will lead Roundhouse's work supporting young people aged 18–30 to access, establish and sustain careers within the creative industries. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Support residents who may be facing challenges with forensic mental health issues, substance misuse recovery and practical assistance such as applying for benefits or booking medical appointments.
- Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
- Provide person-centered support to residents, helping them rebuild their lives and transition back into the community.
- Support residents to build skills and confidence and signpost residents to external organisations and services that can aid their recovery, such as drug rehabilitation programs, psychological therapy and social services.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
- Build good relationships with residents, offering emotional support and fostering a safe, non judgmental environment.
- Confidently report issues to the police when necessary and work closely with probation officers to ensure residents meet their legal and rehabilitation requirements.
- Create an empowering and enabling environment where individuals are supported to make informed decisions and take control of their own lives.
- Support residents in accessing primary healthcare services, including arranging GP appointments and liaising with mental health professionals.
About You
We're looking for a genuine passion for supporting people who may have complex needs which includes forensic mental health. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. Experience in mental health or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.
- Previous professional or lived experience supporting people with forensic mental health and complex needs, ideally in mental health and residential setting
- Experience working with people with complex backgrounds, including ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, or challenging behaviour and an understanding of housing and social needs
- Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
- Ability to show empathy and compassion and the different challenges people face; ability to come up with creative solutions to support them in their journey
- Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Ability to promote the service and provide outreach based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
- Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Role Description
The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a key strategic role in supporting the mission and ministry of St Edmundsbury Cathedral by developing and delivering a diverse range of fundraising activities, with a particular focus on Trusts and Foundations, major funding opportunities, donor stewardship and the growth of sustainable income.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, the role will identify and develop new funding opportunities, build strong relationships with Trusts and Foundations, and lead the preparation and submission of high-quality funding applications and reports. The postholder will also oversee the Cathedral’s Patron and donor relationships, legacy and regular giving activity, and provide strategic oversight of major fundraising events and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Legacy and Appeals
- Support and develop the Cathedral’s legacy giving strategy, helping to encourage and secure gifts in wills.
- Work with colleagues and volunteers to develop appropriate legacy communications and stewardship activity.
- Provide strategic support for the delivery of fundraising appeals, including the biennial ‘Gift Day’.
- Review and evaluate fundraising appeals, identifying opportunities to improve engagement and income.
Trusts and Foundations
- Develop and implement a Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy to increase income and diversify the Cathedral’s funding base.
- Research and identify new Trusts, Foundations and other institutional funding opportunities aligned with the Cathedral’s mission, ministry and strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Trusts and Foundations, ensuring effective stewardship and ongoing engagement.
- Lead the development and submission of high-quality funding applications, working with colleagues across the Cathedral to gather relevant information, budgets, impact measures and supporting evidence.
- Maintain a comprehensive pipeline of funding opportunities, applications, deadlines and outcomes.
- Ensure funders receive timely, accurate and engaging updates on the impact of their support.
- Develop compelling cases for support and funding proposals for a range of projects and priorities.
- Support colleagues with grant applications where appropriate, providing guidance on funder requirements, application development and reporting.
- Monitor changes in the funding landscape and identify emerging opportunities for the Cathedral.
Donor Acknowledgement and CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the fundraising CRM database, Donorfy, including donation history, communications and engagement activity.
- Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place for effective donor stewardship and relationship management.
- Produce reports and analysis from Donorfy to support fundraising planning, decision-making and income monitoring.
- Ensure donors and Patrons are thanked and acknowledged appropriately and in a timely manner, including personal correspondence and letters from the Dean where appropriate.
- Use donor data and insight to identify opportunities for increased engagement, retention and income.
Planned and Regular Giving
- Work with the Planned Giving Committee to develop and implement a strategy for increasing regular giving.
- Develop communications that encourage supporters to become regular givers.
Patrons and Donors
- Manage and develop relationships with existing Patrons and key donors, ensuring high standards of engagement through regular communications, including e-newsletters, invitations and other appropriate engagement activities.
- Oversee the delivery of the Cathedral’s Patron events, including the Patrons’ Carol Service, Spring Trip and Summer Garden Party, working with colleagues to ensure events are delivered to a high standard.
- Monitor Patron membership, renewal dates and income, ensuring effective processes are in place for timely renewal communications.
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure Patron income and donations are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the Cathedral’s Patron network and strengthen relationships with existing supporters.
- Identify opportunities to deepen donor engagement and develop supporters towards increased giving and longterm involvement with the Cathedral.
Major Fundraising Initiatives and Events
- Provide fundraising leadership and strategic oversight for major Cathedral fundraising initiatives and projects as required.
- Support the delivery team of the Abbey of St Edmund, Reborn Project, providing fundraising expertise and advice as required.
- Oversee the fundraising strategy and income generation associated with major fundraising events, including the Grand Nave Autumn Ball, ensuring that events have clear fundraising objectives and deliver against agreed targets.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues responsible for event planning and delivery, providing strategic fundraising direction, supporter engagement and stewardship.
- Ensure that income and expenditure associated with fundraising events and initiatives are accurately recorded and monitored.
- Evaluate fundraising activity and provide recommendations to maximise future income and supporter engagement.
Strategy, Planning and Reporting
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Cathedral’s overall fundraising strategy and annual fundraising plans.
- Set and monitor fundraising targets across relevant income streams, providing regular updates to senior colleagues and relevant committees.
- Use fundraising data, research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and inform strategic decisionmaking.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership, Trustees and relevant committees as required. Work collaboratively across the Cathedral to ensure fundraising opportunities are identified and developed effectively.
- Ensure all fundraising activity reflects the mission, values and ethos of St Edmundsbury Cathedral and is undertaken with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations, GDPR and data protection requirements, and best practice in donor stewardship.
- Support and develop a culture of fundraising across the Cathedral, encouraging colleagues to recognise and maximise opportunities for philanthropic support.
