The Role: Senior Manager, Global Development  

You'll bring significant development experience, strategic leadership and hands-on delivery to the identification, securing, and management of significant grants from philanthropic foundations, institutional donors, trusts, and statutory funders globally. You'll build and nurture high-value relationships, coordinate fundraising initiatives, and establish the robust infrastructure for effective grant management across our global network. 

Key Responsibilities - Drive Strategy and Deliver Impact 

• Fundraising Strategy and Pipeline Management: Contribute to the design of an ambitious global grant fundraising strategy and manage its implementation. You'll conduct market research, qualify new opportunities, and maintain a robust prospect pipeline to expand our existing funding base. This will involve the coordination and project management of outreach and engagement activities. 

• Proposal Development and Budgeting: Lead the creation of compelling, high-quality concept notes and multi-year funding proposals, aligned with funder priorities and including accurate, transparent budgets. 

• Donor Stewardship and Reporting: Be a key representative for Chapter Zero Alliance with funders, serving as a key liaison for funder-related operational queries. You'll work with the wider team to ensure timely and accurate narrative and financial reporting, managing communications to foster long-term engagement.

• Grant Management and Administration: Oversee our current funding portfolio, manage grant administration, collaborate with Finance on forecasting. 

• Internal Coordination: Facilitate and support our Development Working Group as well as manage core systems: CRM, funder contacts and documentation. Work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, and project teams across our global network to align fundraising with programme delivery and provide critical performance analysis.

Who We're Looking For 

This role requires a dedicated fundraising professional with a proven track record of successfully securing significant grant funding. You're a strategic thinker and relationship builder with exceptional bid-writing skills and an innate ability to translate complex programme needs into compelling proposals. 

Essential Expertise 

• Significant experience working in institutional fundraising or partnership management within the non-profit or development sector. 

• Knowledge of the climate-related trust and grants sector internationally and in the UK. 

• Demonstrable track record of successfully achieving income targets (minimum six-figure funds, including multi-year grants) from philanthropic foundations, institutional donors, trusts or statutory sources. 

• Strategic relationship-building skills working with grant makers and partners. 

• Effective bid writing, delivering clear, persuasive, and well-structured proposals and reports tailored to align with grant priorities.

• Strong financial and strategic planning skills, including KPIs, grant compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities 

Sub-Granting Operations and Process Management 

• Manage the full lifecycle of sub-grants, from the ‘request for proposal’ stage through to Chapter, or partner selection and contracting, reporting and closure. 

• Maintain oversight of all sub-granting timelines, documentation, and deliverables. 

• Ensure compliance with internal policies and funder requirements throughout the sub-granting cycle. 

• Provide administrative and logistical support for the sub-granting process, including database and document management. 

Chapter and Partner Due Diligence, Contracting 

• Lead and coordinate Chapter or sub-grant partner due diligence assessments in line with organisational standards. 

• Support risk mitigation planning and maintain up-to-date due diligence records. 

• Prepare and process partner contracts (sub-grant agreements) and amendments, timely signatures and filing.

Job title: Fundraising and Grants Manager
Location: Remote/ Home-based in the UK within 90 minutes travel of Central London with occasional national and international travel.

The Fundraising and Grants Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of WeProtect Global Alliance’s 2026–2029 Investment Strategy. You will lead the day-to-day management of our multi-donor grants portfolio, ensuring that donor obligations are met and that grant and financial management systems are robust, efficient, and compliant.

Working closely with the Head of Development and colleagues across the Secretariat, you will contribute to donor stewardship, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and support the development of new and renewed funding opportunities with governments, multilateral institutions, foundations, and private donors.

We are seeking a highly organised and values-driven professional with proven experience managing complex donor-funded grants. You will bring financial and operational acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a small, fast-paced, remote-working team. About The Role

As a Grants and Learning Officer, you’ll be helping us to deliver our ambitious, nationwide grants programme. We currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-30 year old creatives, and have a busy grants cycle to manage, alongside ever-increasing numbers of applications. 

This year, we’re building and migrating to a new grants database and you’ll play an integral role on the project team. In addition, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of grants, and help with all aspects of the funding cycle. You’ll support applicants and funded partners, make funding recommendations, administer grants, provide feedback and support, and visit projects.

First and foremost, you’ll be passionate about the work that Youth Music does. As a skilled administrator, you’re not fazed by planning, monitoring, reporting, and spreadsheets. You have an eye for detail. You’ve got good IT skills and working knowledge of how databases operate. We were delighted to be awarded £248,000 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and we are now seeking an energetic and experienced fund raiser to join the team to develop our £3.6m heritage project ‘St Richard’s 60:60 – celebrating our first 60 years and preparing for the next’.  We are currently also recruiting a Project Manager and Community Engagement and Activity Plan Consultant and Business Plan consultant and Evaluation consultant will be appointed in the New Year. The project is to restore our iconic Modern building and celebrate the first 60 years of our Church as a launchpad for the future.

St Richard’s church was built in 1964 in the heart of a new housing estate alongside a new Primary School. It is a striking and flexible building with a strong presence forming part of the Ham Riverside identity. It has a number of significant architectural and artistic features acknowledged by its Grade II listing and its timber hyperbolic paraboloid roof is one of the few remaining examples in the country. However the roof covering is failing, and the unique timber shell construction is deteriorating rapidly. The seriousness of this is evidenced by its inclusion on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register.  Our goal is to give our church a secure and sustainable future as a home for a thriving Church and a welcoming space for community groups and activities.  Our Heritage Fund project will repair and restore the building and provide opportunities to bring its heritage to life for local residents and visitors from wider afield, while meeting community needs.

About You

We are looking for a HR Manager to lead on external HR services delivered through The Social Change Hive (SCH). Key responsibilities

Client HR Support & Advisory (50%)

• Provide expert HR advice and support to Hive clients, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.

Senior Grant Making Manager – 12 months fixed term contract

The Senior Grant Making Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of funding in our England Directorate and in particular our responsive funding in the London, South East and East Region.

Reporting to the Senior Head of Responsive Funding in the London, South East & East Region, you will play a key role in delivering our strategy, ‘It Starts with Community’, maximizing the impact of our funding across the region with a particular focus on London where you will work with others to develop our regional and London specific strategic direction, ensuring excellent management and oversight of day-to-day grant making and learning.

The Charity

Suicide is the leading cause of death of men under 35 and three quarters of those who die by suicide are men. James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering clinical services. We are a charity currently offering free, life-saving therapy to suicidal men at our centres in Liverpool, London and Newcastle.

James’ Place was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts but didn’t find it.   

James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. We offer men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.  We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centres and in our outside spaces, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families. We have so far treated over 4,300 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.

In early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.

The Opportunity

James’ Place has huge ambitions to grow to reach more men in suicidal crisis. We are seeking an experienced fundraising manager to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of maternity leave.

Trusts and Statutory is a crucial, high-performing and mature income stream for James’ Place. In this Fixed Term Contract, the postholder will be care-taking as well as continuing to grow income and help the team to finalise our current fundraising appeal. The organisation has recently invested in a new Executive Leadership Team to drive forward the development of our new strategy, so there is a real opportunity for this postholder to contribute to this process.
