Campaigns and Communications Manager (Job share)
2 days a week, 14 hours a week
Salary: £37,035 - Pro-Rata
Duration of Contract: 2 years (Renewable subject to funding)
IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. As testament to its’ success and in response to huge need, IKWRO has expanded and now provides unique and vital support for women and girls from all Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan (MENA) communities who are at risk of “honour” based violence, child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of gender violence.
IKWRO provides direct services including advocacy and professional counselling. IKWRO opened the UK’s first specialist Middle Eastern women’s refuge. IKWRO is regularly called upon to share expertise with government, academics, and media and to train professionals from bodies such as the police, social services and schools.
IKWRO has led the recognition of “honour” based abuse and “honour” killing as forms of violence against women and girls. Campaign successes include; the first extradition from Kurdistan-Iraq to the UK of perpetrators of “honour” killing of Banaz Mahmod, the UK’s criminalisation of forced marriage, child marriage, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, as well as the first ever national inspection of policing of “honour” based violence.
This is an exciting time to join IKWRO with the opportunity to help shape and implement the organisations’ new campaigns and communications strategies.
The Campaign and Communications Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director of IKWRO and will be responsible for drafting and implementing IKWRO’s new campaign and communications strategy to achieve positive systemic legal and policy change, informed by the experiences of the women and girls that IKWRO represents. The role involves lobbying, research, media and communications, networking, events management, engaging with the wider team and the women and girls IKWRO represents to ensure their voices are heard and maintaining and strengthening IKWRO’s leadership in the field. The Campaign and Communications Manager will be both an excellent team player and also have the ability to work independently and manage volunteers.

- Identify, develop, and steward supporter relationships with businesses, fundraising groups, and high value prospects.
- Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling them to achieve their fundraising goals and reach their potential.
- Identify and steward corporate prospects using a pipeline process resulting in applying for and converting opportunities.
- Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
- Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
- Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.
- Promote BHF’s activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income.

Working arrangements
This dynamic field-based role covers the vibrant region of South East Wales, including the bustling cities of Cardiff and Newport, as well as the picturesque areas of Pontypool, Usk, Abergavenny, Cwmbran,Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, and Blaenau Gwent. The territory also extends to the charming locales of Monmouthshire, Torfaen, and the Vale of Glamorgan. Occasionally, the role will also require support in the scenic North Wales region.
You'll need to live in South East Wales region or be able to relocate to this region.
This role requires regular travel within the area, and occasionally to other parts of the UK.
You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application with access to your own vehicle.
There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Key areas of responsibility
- Lead, manage and support the programmes and support team, and oversee volunteer coordination to deliver high-quality community focused services.
- Enhance team members performance, learning, development and wellbeing through supervision, appraisals, and training.
- Develop and implement inclusive and engaging community programmes that respond to the evolving needs of the community.
- Manage direct support services, ensuring safe, person-centered and best practice case management.
- Develop and manage the volunteer strategy, including recruitment, training, development, and retention of volunteers alongside the Director of Community.
- Act as a Safeguarding Lead, supporting the duty manager system and working with senior leadership to maintain high safeguarding and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with all Community Services teams and other internal teams to provide holistic wraparound support to community members.Manage and promote effective use of internal systems, including the database (Beacon).#Prepare reports, support funding bids, and contribute to strategic reviews and projects.
- Represent the organisation across external networks.
- Proactively build partnerships to enable collaborative service delivery and the sharing of best practice.
- Any other tasks and duties at the direction of the line manager.

Job Summary
Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering growth in voluntary income through our direct marketing acquisition programme utilising a range of campaigns and products, both online and offline. Products include one-off donations, regular giving (including value-exchange/ sponsorship products) and lottery. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio.

Introduction to the Role
We are looking for a Research and Policy Officer (Maternity Cover) to join our expanding Policy and Research department, which also oversees the TDS Charitable Foundation. This is a pivotal role supporting our mission to improve standards in the private rented sector through impactful research, thought leadership, and policy engagement.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Research

About the role
Mission Without Borders is seeking an experienced Salesforce Support Specialist to focus on three key areas; Salesforce Administration, training, and process documentation.

Role Purpose
The Finance Manager will proactively plan, manage and oversee the financial strategy, operations, and compliance of our dynamic and growing organisation. The role contributes directly to the organisation’s strategic planning and has hands-on oversight of financial transactions, operations, compliance and reporting.
As the Finance Manager, you will be a member of the Executive leadership team working closely with the CEO on matters of financial strategy and business development - contributing to strategic decisions and providing financial guidance.You’d also be supported by the Finance Manager Assistant and the Bookkeeper.
Main Objectives
- Provide leadership, in-depth knowledge and financial expertise to support the organisation’s strategy, business development and operations.

The Events & Community Manager role is a new position, created to give the attention and expertise needed to our large and profitable portfolio of virtual challenge events, which have collectively raised over £1m gross income per year for two years. It is a crucial role within the team, overseeing the innovation, planning and delivery of all virtual challenges. You will work with colleagues accross the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and infastructure, delivering brilliant stewardship during supporters participation in the virtual events and beyond.
The position reports to the Head of Events & Community, and will line manage one Events & Community Executive. Collaboration will be important, especially with the senior Events team managers who lead the innovation, planning and delivery of third party and PCR owned bespoke events.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Project Management and Income Growth
- Lead the strategy to maximise the value of PCR's virtual challenge events portfolio, working with the Head of E&C and others to take a long-term view, building on existing foundations to grow and maintain a sustainable income stream
- Oversee the project management of PCR's Facebook Challenges in the UK, leading end-to-end planning and delivery with the support of the E&C executives to hit ambition fundraising targets

The Epilepsy Research Institute is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Fundraising to lead our income generation efforts and help drive our mission forward. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in securing sustainable funding to support world-leading epilepsy research.
With a proven track record in fundraising, you will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy across multiple revenue streams, including corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations and major donors. With a minimum of three years’ experience in a senior fundraising role and demonstrable success in securing significant funding, your ability to cultivate and manage donor relationships, craft compelling funding proposals, and oversee high-impact fundraising campaigns will be key to our success.

We are recruiting for a short term temporary Income and Reconciliations Officer for a high profile social welfare charity. You will need to have worked in Finance for a large organisation with high transactional volumes, ideally in the receivables area. Immediate start!

The Role
To accurately record and reconcile circa 140 million of charitable income across three entities, ensuring that agreed policies and procedures are adhered to.
To liaise with staff across the charity to ensure that unrecorded and unreconciled income is resolved on a timely basis.
To deal with income queries on a timely basis, providing a good level of service to internal and external customers.
To produce and distribute aged debtor reports and ensure that debts are followed up by those responsible, escalating issues to management as required.
To provide guidance and support to non-Finance staff managing income processes
The Candidate
Proven track record in a finance role in a large and complex environment with high transactional volumes, preferably in Receivables.
Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of double entry book-keeping.
Experience of completing large and complex reconciliations using data from multiple databases
Experience of using Microsoft Excel to critically analyse data through the use of Pivot tables, VLOOKUP etc
Hold a current DBS

Persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling applications, proposals and donor communications.
Experience of managing a fundraising team.
