Salary
The salary for this position is £86,800 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Education Workers are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people, schools and families on a daily basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.
Location
We have positions available in Middlesbrough.
The role requires intermittent travel in your region (usually within the day) this can involve journeys times of 1 hour+. Occasional travel out of your local area e.g. to London is also required, this may include overnight stays.

£27,400

What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.
IntoUniversity provides local learning centres where young people are inspired to achieve.





To support the Finance team with efficient and effective financial processing and financial controls, by holding responsibility for the various admin tasks within the team. To maintain close working relationships with other AKF (UK) employees and provide cover of key responsibilities for the Finance Officer (Expenditure) and Finance Officer (Income).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Financial administration
• Administration of the donations inbox, liaising with donors and prospective donors for simple queries. Ensuring good organisation of the inbox with a clear labelling system.
• Draft donation acknowledgement letters for donors to acknowledge donations received.
• Management of Raisers Edge donations management system, including:
review of potential duplicate donor records
ensuring documentation for Gift Aid donors
making edits and updates to donor records as and when required.
• Creation of a tracker for Raisers Edge issues to ensure these are managed and dealt with appropriately.
• Follow up with donors who have expressed an interest in Gift Aid.
• Liaising with the Comms team to ensure maintenance of supporters contact list.
• Digital archiving of paper-based records held within the Finance Department.
• Support Finance Managers with the organisation of the shared drive and the Sharepoint site.
• Management of Finance policy and procedure documents library on the shared drive, ensuring these are up-to-date and accessible to staff.
• Scan letters received for finance and deal with these appropriately (sharing with the relevant individual and/or filing on the shared drive).
• Download bank statements on a daily basis and save on the shared drive.
Financial controls
• Reconciliation of simple balance sheet accounts (e.g. petty cash, debit notes, deposit accounts) on a monthly basis. • Reconciliation of properties bank accounts and deposit accounts on a monthly basis.
• Support the Finance Officer (Income) with donations collections and trips to the bank to deposit cash and cheque donations, ensuring all cheques and cash received are banked promptly and securely.
• Provide assistance with the annual audit and the preparation of the statutory accounts, particularly with regard the provision of supporting documentation.
Financial processing
• Manage the corporate credit card process and user register, including onboarding of new users.
• Issue monthly credit card statements to staff members for their expenses submissions.
• Conduct first finance review of monthly credit card submissions and collate the supporting documentation submitted, ready for posting.
• Collate Out of Pocket expenditure claims and conduct a first review of these before processing by the Finance Officer (Expenditure).
• Support the Finance Officer (Income) with quarterly donor pledge statements process.
• Post property and Victoria Hall interest, bank sweeps, and charges into Business Central.
Supporting others
• Perform any other financial duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Financial Controller, Properties Finance Manager, Head of Finance and Operations.
• Supporting Finance Officers (Income and Expenditure) and covering key tasks in their absence
Qualifications
• Educated to A-Levels (desirable).
Experience
• Experience using Excel and MS Office suite.
• Flexible approach to working, able to pick up a variety of tasks/projects with minimal supervision; ability to anticipate issues or scenarios, and to address them proactively
• Experience of charity accounting and knowledge of such requirements (desirable).
Skills
• Highly organised with good administrative skills.
• Good interpersonal, customer care and liaison skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Fluent in oral and written English.
• A commitment to high professional and personal standards and continuous improvement.
• Strong numerate skills with acute attention to detail.

We are looking to appoint a new Head of Fundraising and Communications to lead a very capable, motivated and collaborative team and provide strategic leadership to develop an integrated approach between fundraising, communications and athletes/alumni engagement.

About the role:

The Governance Team manages the effective operation of The Scout Association’s Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees. Our Governance Officers have a key role in the management of these and the production of the documentation required to facilitate each meeting.
We are looking for a highly organised and competent individual who has good experience of minute taking at Board and Committee level, and who is keen to broaden their knowledge in the third sector and in the company secretarial profession. You’ll have a keen eye for detail and confidence and sensitivity to manage strategic level information in a professional manner.
Time management will be key in ensuring you are fully prepared for the committee cycle which includes agenda preparation, in consultation with the Chair and key staff support, collation and distribution of papers, taking minutes at the meetings and sharing agreed actions with Committee members.
You’ll be expected to provide ongoing support to the Chair of the Board, including diary management, and support to our trustees, including ad hoc enquiries, inductions, arranging appraisals and booking accommodation.
As a volunteer led organisation, The Scout Association holds Board meetings at weekends and Committee meetings during normal office hours (between 9am and 5pm) as well as some in the evening and at weekends. Reasonable notice will be given when required to attend these meetings.
Governing Documents and Events
The Governance Team also manage the Association’s Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) document which needs careful scrutiny and annual updates in line with changes to legislation and operationally within the movement.
Working with the Governance Manager, the Governance Officer is responsible for providing statistical reports on a quarterly basis for the Board.

About the role
Reporting to the COO and managing 1 Finance Officer, The Head of Finance is the lead staff member for all matters relating to the Finance Team and is responsible for all areas of its strategic management and day-to-day operations. The Head of Finance makes up part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Typical finance duties include the development and implementation of finance strategies and policies, the production of financial reports and management accounts, leading on the budgeting & forecasting process, leading on the production of the annual statutory accounts, and supporting the Finance Officer with all elements of transactional finance such as reconciliations & VAT.
The Head of Finance will also take an active role on the Senior Leadership Team including contributing to business plans, networking with partner organisations and contributing to the continued strategy to diversify the charity’s income.
The charity uses Xero accounting software and has a December financial year-end. There is a current interim Head of Finance in post, and a handover with this person is likely.
The role would suit an experienced charity sector Head of Finance, seeking to work on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a 3 day per week basis, and is a fully office based role, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider 2 days in the office with 1 day working from home, however the preference is for 3 days onsite.

About the role:
This role is based in our office at Whitecross Studio's, 50 Banner Street, London, with flexibility of hybrid working. The role requires travelling to other VS offices across London.
As a Senior Children and Young Persons Caseworker, you will be required to:
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments and ensure each CYP receives an individual tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
- Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of approx. 10 and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety
