We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Your responsibilities will include maintaining payroll data, updating employee records, verifying timesheets, logging staff absences, and addressing payroll queries swiftly and effectively. You will also support payroll reconciliations for SSP, SMP, SPP, and pension accounts, as well as assist with year-end tasks such as audits, PSA, and P11D submissions. Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Payroll Manager to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including inputting and reconciling timesheets, calculating holiday pay, and updating payroll records.
- Support year-end activities such as PSA and P11D calculations and submissions, ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations and internal policies.
- Manage pension contributions and submissions, ensuring accurate data uploads to pension portals and compliance with scheme rules and statutory requirements.
- Administer statutory and occupational sick pay in line with current legislation and company policies, with a strong understanding of Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) rules and accurate processing of sickness absences.
- Maintain payroll data integrity through regular system updates, data cleansing, and the implementation of necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
- Deliver a high level of service by responding promptly and professionally to payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders.
- Partner with the Payroll Manager and Finance team on ad hoc projects, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Foster strong working relationships across departments to support seamless payroll operations and effective communication.
- Commit to working one additional day per month during payroll processing periods to meet operational demands.
- Provide cover for the Payroll Manager during periods of absence, contributing to the continuity of critical payroll cycles and strategic projects.
Education & Qualifications
- GCSE or equivalent with good results in Maths & English
Experience
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar role

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

LTSB has ambitious plans to grow our income over the next few years. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team, which currently has three members of staff who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and key relationships necessary to achieve our aims.
This brand new role will support with developing and growing the number of trusts, foundations and institutions we are working with.
Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream at LTSB, and you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain some of our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board through effective research and prospecting.
This role would suit someone who has some experience of trust fundraising but is looking for the next step, therefore you must have experience of grant writing (five figure bids). You will have competent writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.
As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We would expect a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

● Actively seeking out opportunities to champion Scottish policy developments in health, education, and food systems

Our main area of focus is the elimination of schistosomiasis and soil-transmitted helminthiases (intestinal worms). Endemic infections of these parasitic worms are found in some of the world’s most marginalised communities, and they can have a hugely detrimental effect on individuals, including:

- Impaired child development
- Reduced school attendance
- Increased risk of HIV in women
- Infertility
The role
This is an exciting role, to liaise and support partner organisations to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and up to date, coded correctly on UH’s cashbooks and reconciled against bank statements. You will also provide technical support to partners’ finance staff and train them on the use of the cashbooks and financial reporting to UH.
You will be educated to degree level and have basic speaking knowledge of the French language. You will have experience in a fast-paced and complex finance role. You should have experience of working with technical accounting packages as well as experience in financial planning and monitoring.
The role is fast-paced and complex, and the ideal candidate will need to have proven inter-personal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to assess priorities, organise workloads and initiate action and problem solve.

Role Purpose
We have been operating the North Lanarkshire Befriending Project for 25 years. Our team of adult Volunteer Befrienders provide 1:1 befriending support to Young Carers.
We recruit, train, induct and support Volunteer Befrienders who can be a positive, reliable and trustworthy role model to young people aged 8-18. Befrienders are matched 1:1 with a young person and provide bespoke emotional, social and practical support according to the young person’s needs, interests and goals. Together, they spend regular time together, engaging in fun community activities.
Through our support, Young Carers have the chance of a break, become less isolated, more confident and resilient, have enhanced physical and mental health, and are more included in their community.
In this role, you will lead all aspects of the day-to-day delivery of the project. The right candidate would be someone with a good knowledge and understanding of “best practice” in Volunteer Management /Befriending Services, and with experience in supporting children and young people.

The team and role overview
The HR & Operations function is led by the HR & Operations Manager and includes two Coordinators and one Operations Officer. Together, the team is responsible for delivering effective people management processes, operational support, and internal systems that enable the organisation to function smoothly across both UK and international offices.
