About the role

Reporting in to the Government and Parliamentary Lead, the role of Parliamentary and Influencing Advisor is a key member of the Policy and Influencing team. 

The role enables effective coordination, development and delivery of Christian Aid’s engagement and influencing strategies that supports with maximising impact and the post-holder will provide key collaborative support both organisationally and operationally for influencing and engagement outputs, including drafting briefings and setting up meetings (attending where necessary).

Some of the key responsibilities of the role of Parliamentary and Influencing Advisor are:

• Supports UK influencing unit to build relationships and access to key influencers in government, churches, private sector, INGO sector, Think Tanks, and Civil Society that will maximise impact aligning with organisational values and goals.
• Develop and deliver both influencing and engagement projects, including CAW parliamentary event, mass lobbies of parliamentary and private sector engagement initiatives, all of which align with organisational values and goals.
• Collaborate with the global influencing team to ensure coordination of activities and communications with MCC’s, and build relationships based on trust and openness.

About you

Essential:

• Degree level qualification in a relevant field.
• Significant experience of working in advocacy, influencing and communication.
• Significant experience of working in an NGO, public policy, government or the private sector.
• Detailed understanding of NGO networks and coalitions working in UK advocacy on related issues.
• Detailed understanding of Westminster, Whitehall and international policy.
• Detailed understanding of how policy change happens and of how to develop effective influencing strategies.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly developed experience of building constructive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Highly developed project management skills and experience of organising events, and delivering projects collaboratively within agreed budgets and timeframes.

Refuge is recruiting an Independent Gender Based Abuse Advocate (IGVA) for the Richmond and Wandsworth IDVA service.

The IGVA will provide high quality, trauma informed independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based abuse and their children in Wandsworth. Partly funded by MOPAC (Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime), the post focuses on improving access to justice, safety and holistic support for individuals affected by sexual violence, including those navigating the criminal justice system. support for survivors of sexual abuse.

We are looking for someone who is passionate, committed and cares about the work Refuge undertakes. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and the impact this has on survivors and their children. They will be able to work under pressure to effectively manage risk and provide needs-led support to clients with a variety of support needs.

About the role

You’ll play a vital role in ensuring Parkinson's UK is compliant with regulatory standards, charity law, and data protection legislation,

You'll oversee the charity's Risk Management Framework and manage the internal audit contract and delivery plan. You will also support the Chief Finance and Operating Officer and work closely with the Company Secretary to ensure efficient governance and provide expert advice on compliance to support the charity's strategic development and growth. 

As the designated Data Protection Officer for Parkinson’s UK, this role will work with heads of department and the Executive Leadership Team to ensure that staff and volunteers are supported in how to comply with the legislation.

What you'll do

• Offer guidance on risk, governance, data protection, and compliance to Parkinson’s UK, enhancing awareness and developing a compliance culture across the organisation.

• Lead the Risk and Assurance team, including the governance support and compliance functions.

• Manage and improve the Data Protection and Information Governance environment, collaborating with technology teams to ensure infrastructure and tools are compliant, while staying updated on legal changes.

• Lead the internal audit function (outsourced)

• Lead the development of our Risk Management Framework, with clear definition of strategic and operational risks. Report to ELT and trustees on risk management. Ensure appropriate mitigations are in place, including appropriate insurance coverage.

What you'll bring

• Significant experience of advising on charity and data protection law. 

• Experience of advising on data protection in a fundraising charity context 

• Experience of working with regulators such as the ICO, Charity Commission, and Fundraising Regulator

• Experience of creating and implementing organisational policies

As our Fundraising and Partnerships Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving Living Sport’s income generation strategy. You will lead on developing and managing relationships with funders, writing compelling bids and growing support from trusts and foundations, corporate partners and CSR programmes.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead on fundraising strategy implementation with a focus on trusts and foundations, corporate giving and CSR.

· Identify, research and secure funding opportunities, developing high quality bids and proposals.

· Build and maintain excellent relationships with funders and partners.

· Develop engaging corporate partnerships, connecting businesses with meaningful opportunities to support physical activity initiatives.

· Monitor funding pipelines and income targets, providing regular progress updates and insights to the leadership team.

• Proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations and corporate partners.
• Strong bid writing and story telling skills, with the ability to translate complex projects into engaging proposals.

• Understanding of CSR and corporate fundraising, and how businesses can support social impact initiatives.
• Experience in charity, health or sport sectors.
• Are flexible and willing to work evenings/weekends when needed.

We’re looking for a dynamic and organised Education Officer who will play a vital role in inspiring children and families to connect with nature through engaging outdoor learning experiences. Rape Crisis South London are currently looking for a highly skilled and passionate professional Adult Counsellor to join our organisation on a part-time basis (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays).   

The successful candidate will have good knowledge within the Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) movement; experience working with the effects of Trauma, especially Sexual abuse trauma; experience of providing counselling by using an intersectional lens and able to demonstrate an understanding of how overlapping identities shape women’s experiences of trauma, particularly those from Black and minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
 

The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge and experience of working integrative, maintaining clear therapeutic boundaries and adhering to the ethical framework the organisation’s professional body. They will be skilled in applying a range of therapeutic approaches and committed to feminist and anti-racist principles and embedding these values into all aspects of their practice.
