BeSpace is a small but growing Christian charity with a big vision to see a future where every child has the opportunity to access creative reflective spaces to develop personal tools to pray, reflect and grow spiritually throughout their lives, helping churches, schools and communities to flourish.

We have seen incredible impact through developing prayer spaces in schools across Oxfordshire. Since 2010, over 65,000 children have experienced prayer spaces led by local churches, trained and resourced by us. Currently 60 schools a year have prayer and reflection spaces. Now, we’re building on this momentum to reach over 115 schools in the next three years and are preparing to grow nationally with developing contemplative retreats for schools.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

• Inspire and equip churches to run prayer and reflection spaces in schools
• Pilot school retreats and embed contemplative practices into school engagement
• Recruit and coach volunteer area networkers to grow local networks of volunteers
• Gather stories and evidence of impact, ensuring quality and consistency
• Help position Oxfordshire as a model in developing contemplative retreats nationally. 

You will work closely with our CEO and Operations Coordinator, playing a vital part in both local transformation and BeSpace’s journey towards national growth.

Clear and impactful data is key to understanding the scale and impact of dementia in the UK, and this role will be pivotal to ensuring we’ve got what we need.
Your role will be critical to informing research, influencing and engagement activity through deep-dive analysis and synthesis of existing data, identification of potential data gaps and methods to fill them, and the production of jargon-free, engaging interpretation and information for both internal and external use.
You will work alongside the Dementia Data and Intelligence Lead, together providing expertise on evidence, data and insight in the context of dementia, ensuring that the Society’s decisions and interpretation of dementia and the system are based on the highest quality of dementia evidence. You’ll also work closely with other members of the Strategic Evidence team - our in-house experts for dementia data, economics, care and clinical research evidence, responsible for gathering and generating evidence on the scale and impact of dementia across the UK, contributing authoritative, impactful evidence to inform policy making and strategic decision-making.
You will be part of an even larger Evidence, Policy & Influencing (EP&I) function, which is laser-focused on ending the devastation of dementia through changing policy. Teamwork and communication are key in this role – with colleagues internally and with the system externally to help make dementia the priority it needs to be.

Your contribution to the team 

Your role as Project MEL and Grants Officer will be critical in achieving the goals of the Projects Team to deliver high-quality support in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), project and grant management to colleagues across the organisation. You will support the Senior Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer to roll-out innovative approaches to how the organisation captures impact, shares success stories and learns from one another. You will support colleagues to understand compliance requirement of grants and to identify, assess and realign projects to ensure delivery against these requirements and project objectives. You will play a vital role to ensure the uptake and usability of our organisational grants and project management platform called PEBI (Project Ecosystem for Business Intelligence).

What you can expect in a typical day

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support project and organisational MEL 50%
• Support colleagues to design log frames, indicators and results framework for projects and how to align them with global indicators;
• Support colleagues to develop, improve and contextualise data collection and reporting tools and methodologies; 
• Participate in project start-up meetings and support colleagues to develop project M&E plans; 
• Plan and conduct internal reviews of key projects to support organisational learning and improvement of future projects; 
• Review data and information gathered either through systems (such as PEBI) or processes (such as Annual Reflection Process, cross-organisational meetings etc) to provide feedback to colleagues and feed into organisational learning;

 • Support PEBI champions to motivate their users to regularly update data in the system PEBI, enabling and facilitating the optimal use of the platform;
• Provide initial technical support to champions on issues with the system, in consultation with the Projects Team and escalate as necessary;
• Help to identify ways the system can be continuously improved and fully used;
• Maintain the user guide to PEBI and train new champions or support champions to onboard new users;
• Be the administrative lead for the system maintaining user access within the organisation and liaise with external consultants;
• Coordinate and lead regular meetings with champions across the network to update, discuss issues and best practice and share lessons learned;

• Provide support to teams with regards to donor or other stakeholders contract management for the implementation of projects; 
• Review and maintain an up-to-date centralised grants filing system;

Overall purpose of the role

To lead the development of a regular giving and legacy programme at the AHF, and to support the Director of Programmes/Deputy CEO in development and management of a major gifts programme during the AHF’s 50th Anniversary campaign, with possibility for continued role thereafter. 2. Develop and manage a legacy programme for the AHF including stewardship activities; develop and manage a personal portfolio of legacy donors, including making asks of existing regular supporters to consider legacies and development and drafting of legacy proposals and contracts.
    
3. Develop and manage a programme of higher-level regular giving (over £500 per annum), including stewardship activities and making asks of regular supporters to increase their giving.
    
4. Support the Director of Programmes/Deputy CEO, and CEO, with identification and management of a growing portfolio of major gift prospects, including supporting major gifts asks and helping Director of Programmes/Deputy CEO and CEO with ongoing cultivation and stewardship of major donors.
    
5. Lead on managing the AHF’s donor database, Beacon, ensuring the data is up to date with giving from Charities Aid Foundation and other external gifts, that fundraising activity is appropriately recorded on the database, and that our records are fully compliant with data protection legislation.
    
6. Work closely with the Communications Office and consultants supporting the AHF’s 50th Anniversary campaign, with an eye on developing and maximising opportunities to introduce the AHF to new potential supporters and to bolster our key messaging with those already known to us. As part of this work, sit as Secretary of the AHF Communications and Anniversary subcommittee of our Board.
    
7. Develop and maintain a reporting structure to keep AHF SMT and Board up to date with fundraising activity and opportunities.

9. The Role

The organisation is a Christian think tank which seeks a world in which Christian ideas about human flourishing are drawn upon to answer some of the world’s biggest challenges. Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years. Jigsaw4u’s Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) have recognised the need for dedicated staffing resource to hold the day-to-day responsibility for the service management function as part of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

As a member of our SLT, you will help to deliver and shape and the organisation’s vision and strategy. It will be your responsibility to ensure that Jigsaw4u’s services achieve their goals, meet their strategic objectives and achieve our growth targets while being delivered to Jigsaw4u’s exceptionally high standards.

Under the direction of the CEO, the postholder’s areas of responsibility will be to:

• Line Manage the Service Managers, ensuring that their teams are high performing, reporting and data collection is of a high standard and relationships with funders and other stakeholders are outstanding.
• Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on our beneficiaries lives.
• Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the SLT to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
• Play a full part in the development of the SLT and deputise for the CEO as required. Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
• Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests. Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and adherence to relevant professional codes and standards of good practice.

As a member of the SLT you will be expected, with training and support, to take an active part in supporting the whole organisation. Experience and aptitude to provide calm leadership and a supportive problem-solving approach to practical problems and judgements involving risk is necessary.

With our transition to the Royal College of Pharmacy drawing nearer we are looking to recruit a Director of Finance and Technology to help with the implementation of our strategic plan and overall leadership and management of the College. This brand new role will lead the Finance and Technology functions and manage our property and investment portfolio to deliver against the Objects of the College.

Initially, the role will focus on taking forward the activity, started by our portfolio CFO, required to launch and embed the financial structure and activities of the Royal College to ensure compliance with our charter objects and the requirements of the charity commission.

About the role:

• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the Executive Committee.
• Support the CEO in developing and delivering the College’s Finance Strategy, including five-year forecasts and strategic financial projects.
• Lead the Finance Department to deliver a high-quality, professional service delivered as a shared service
• Ensuring that technology is able to support the college ambitions through the provision of appropriate skills and capabilities in a cost–effective manner.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent with relevant experience working at a senior level in the Charity sector in a strategic finance role and with proven record of achievement in organisational development
• Prior leadership experience at Executive level of Finance and Technology functions
• Excellent understanding and experience of how technology can be deployed to support organisational goals
• Understanding of royal charter and charitable organisations.
• Developed and led diverse, high-performing, multi-disciplinary teams, leading by example to embed an inquisitive and continuous improvement approach.

How we are currently working:

RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home; however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face- to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4–8 working days per month at our London Office.

We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Manager, who is passionate about driving change and has knowledge and experience of Communications and managing staff. This is a temporary post, whilst we go out to recruitment for a permanent post, during the busiest time of the year for White Ribbon.

The post holder will be leading our national flagship campaign – White Ribbon Day (25th November) and the following 16 days of activism, ensuring existing plans are fully developed and delivered and the campaign meets its goals and targets. 

This will involve managing and working with the Campaigns Officer, the Communications Officer and a freelance and part time Project Officer (for the Portraits Project) and additional freelance and part time Communications Officer (for social media).  You will need to manage our outsourcing contract with PIC PR (marketing agency) in an effective manner, to achieve our campaign goals.

Close working with the Business Development Manager and the Accreditation and Training team will be required. 

You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Board of Trustees on the success of the campaign.

You will need to manage the project budget, reporting to our Finance Manager, and ensure that our campaign sponsors are happy.
