CHEM Trust is looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations and Governance Officer to support the smooth and effective running of the organisation. Working closely with the Finance and Resources Officer and the Chief Operating Officer, the postholder will provide essential operational, governance, and HR administration support with a mind for confidentiality, enabling the wider team to focus on delivering CHEM Trust’s mission.
The role is ideal for someone with experience in charity operations, governance, and people processes, who enjoys coordinating activities, maintaining systems, and ensuring things run efficiently.
The postholder will be line-managed by the Finance and Resources Officer. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Responsibilities
Financial & Grant Coordination

Support Epic’s bi-annual grantmaking process, including but not limited to drafting and distributing grant agreements and archiving documentation.

Manage the process of financial reporting from Epic’s portfolio organisations, coordinating with the Operations and Programs teams to verify compliance with Epic’s reporting requirements.

Kairos Women Working Together (Kairos) was founded in 1999 by a group of women in Coventry who recognised that those facing multiple disadvantages, and therefore most at risk of sexual exploitation, were falling through the cracks of existing services. Role Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering the day-to-day operations of the Schools Consent Project across England and Wales. In particular, this involves booking and coordinating the delivery of workshops across all educational settings; acting as the first point of contact for legal queries, feedback and safeguarding issues from volunteers and service users; and fostering strong relationships with our schools and partner firms.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Programme Delivery
- Manage and coordinate the booking of workshops with schools and partner organisations.
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery of workshops, liaising with schools, volunteer lawyers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure high standards of programme delivery and participant experience.
- Maintain accurate operational records and systems.
Volunteer Management and Training
- Help organise induction, training, and ongoing development sessions.
- Manage DBS checks and compliance with safeguarding requirements.
- Act as a primary point of contact for volunteers.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
- Collect, analyse, and manage feedback and monitoring data from workshops.
- Prepare reports and summaries for internal use, funders, and trustees.

Safeguarding, Complaints, and Risk Management
- Act as the first point of contact for safeguarding disclosures, complaints, and concerns.
- Follow organisational safeguarding and complaints procedures.

Outreach, Partnerships, and Growth
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, and other educational providers.
- Support the Director and Founder in developing and implementing the UK growth strategy, informed by schools/volunteers’ feedback and booking data.
Person Specification

- Proven experience in operations management, project management, or programme delivery.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- High level of IT literacy, including confidence with digital systems and remote working tools.
- Familiarity with MS365 and Salesforce as our main operations platforms.
- Experience with Xero and basic financial administration.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote and distributed team.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

About the Role
This is an exciting time to join North London Rape Crisis as the Rape Crisis Administrator. You will primarily support the Helpline Service, ensuring that the administrative work of the Helpline service is delivered to a high standard. You will support the Helpline Managers maintain, develop, and promote the Helpline Service to ensure survivors are able to access support. You will support the wider NLRC team as well, ensuring that administrative work of the various NLRC services is undertaken and maintained to a high standard. You will undertake shifts on the Helpline, as and when required by the Helpline Managers.
You will be ensuring diversity and equity is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.
About You
Successful applicants will have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact on victim/survivors. You will also be empathetic and work from a psychologically-informed framework. It is essential that you have experience of using Office Excel and the ability to use an online case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
