Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues. Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.
In the last few years we have adapted this approach to work with people with Autism (ASD), people with learning difficulties, or complex issues including homelessness or addiction.
We focus on four main areas:
Employment Support – offering support that meets the individual’s needs using both the traditional stepped approach and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Employer support – enabling the recruitment and retention of their employees.
Social Enterprises – we offer training within social enterprises for people who want to gain a new skill, increase their confidence and be part of a team.

About the role
The Director of Operations leads all our member-facing services and operations to ensure that these services run effectively. About the role
A colleague in the Operations team will be taking maternity leave from late 2024 for approximately 10 months. About the role:
We are seeking a new Head of Business and Operations to play a crucial role in supporting the Head to review and drive continuous improvement.
The key responsibilities in the role will include:
- Finances: You will oversee and manage all finances and a multi million pound budget for the school.

RESPONSIBILITIES
People (HR)
- Manage and maintain HR policies, procedures and practices including the employee handbook, ensuring they are up to date, recorded, filed and adhered to (i.e. personnel contracts, DBS, volunteers, holidays, sick leave)

- Oversee the IT Coordinator to ensure licenses are up to date, IT issues are solved promptly and IT developments and changes across our two sites and hybrid team are tracked
Finance
- Work with Finance Manager and Head of Organisational Development to establish strong financial processes and policies and ensure staff are aware of the relevant ones
- Liaising with our Finance Manager on day-to-day accounting as and when necessary
- Managing the Core Operations budget including approval of expenditure (as a signatory) and cashflow preparation for the coming financial year
- Checking and collation of monthly payroll information
People Support
- Managing the Operations Assistant and IT Co-ordinator.
- Supporting volunteers as required and oversee managing our volunteer database.
- Supporting Wen team with HR and other Operations-related matters.

This is a new part-time role combining operational management of our small office based in Central London, with supporting and developing the governance activities of an ambitious and growing charity.
Hands-on experience managing the operations of small to medium sized organisations is essential, particularly facilities and office management, health and safety, and IT (working with an outsourced IT Support provider).
You will support the CEO and Director of Finance & Resources with governance activities including preparing for and running board and sub-committee meetings. You will need to be a confident minute-taker with a good eye for detail, and have experience in collating high-quality board paper packs.
You will have an appetite to innovate and drive continuous improvement across your areas of responsibility, and as the only role on the team covering these functions, must love being hands-on and getting stuck in. Location: Leatherhead in Surrey, with some working from home and within the community across Surrey
Salary: Circa £40,000
As Care Operations Manager, you will have full oversight of the daily operations of the organisation, and will work to maximise the number of carers supported in Surrey/care hours delivered, and ensure the charity is fully compliant in line with regulatory guidance and legislation.

About the role
The University of London’s Development Office is responsible for delivering philanthropic support for the strategic fundraising priorities of the University. As Senior Philanthropy Operations Manager, you will act as the strategic lead for the data and information management that underpins all of the Development Office’s activities.
