You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.

To support Habitat GB’s vision of a decent home for everyone, the organisation has recently completed a strategic review, resulting in a new National Strategy and an organisational restructure, to ensure the organisation is able to deliver the Strategy impactfully, efficiently and effectively.
As a result, a new team has been formed, which will focus on developing and delivering high quality programmes in England, Wales and Scotland. Are you practical, reliable, and passionate about using your skills to make a real difference in people’s lives? Yeldall Manor, a Christian residential rehabilitation centre near Reading, is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated team.
In this role, you’ll help keep our beautiful grounds and buildings in excellent condition, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our residents as they rebuild their lives. Working closely with the Facilities Manager, you’ll carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and small projects across the site. You’ll use your own trade skills and coordinate with contractors and volunteers to complete tasks in plumbing, electrical work, general building maintenance, and appliance repair.
You’ll also play a key part in our planned maintenance programme, keeping records up to date and advising on improvements where needed. Occasionally, you’ll supervise and support residents as they take part in maintenance work, helping them develop new skills and confidence as part of their recovery journey.
Beyond the practical side, this role is about people. You’ll be part of a caring, faith-based community that supports men overcoming substance misuse. You’ll have opportunities to encourage residents in their recovery and spiritual growth, participate in times of prayer and worship, and contribute to the wider life of Yeldall Manor.

Family Support Worker
£24,000 pa + Company Car and benefits (including 25 days annual leave, reward scheme and pension)

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker, on a full time basis (35 hours per week), to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Southampton Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Southampton Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.
What we’re looking for:
· An experienced child health, education or social care professional - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have worked in a community environment and those with a recognised qualification in education, health or social care
· A warm, inclusive approach to achieving goals quickly and correctly
· Practiced in child protection, information sharing and the rules around data protection - you lead by example, drawing on your own professional experience and working within established guidelines
· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident user of IT (including MSOffice)
· A persuasive and open communicator - you will work collaboratively with your team and volunteers to ensure delivery of a high-quality service and support fundraising colleagues by writing case studies and family updates
· A practical knowledge of diversity issues affecting children, young people and their families – aware that being responsive to others needs and concerns, is essential.
