About the role
Across your geographic area of Kent including some London Boroughs :
- Identify, develop, and steward supporter relationships with businesses, fundraising groups, and high value prospects.
- Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling them to achieve their fundraising goals and reach their potential.
- Identify and steward corporate prospects using a pipeline process resulting in applying for and converting opportunities.
- Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
- Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
- Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.
- Promote BHF’s activities and campaigns to raise awareness and drive income.

Working arrangements
- This is a Fixed Term Contract until Nov 2026 covering family leave.
- This role covers a wide area across Kent, including major towns such as Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Thanet, Ashford, Maidstone, Medway, Dartford, Sevenoaks, and Tunbridge Wells, as well as nearby rural and coastal communities. You will need to live in Kent or you must be able to relocate to this region.
- Regular travel within the area, and occasionally to other parts of the UK.
- You must have a full UK driving licence at the time of application with access to your own vehicle.
- There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

The team plays a pivotal role in generating and overseeing referrals for our frontline services whilst managing all children and young people placement-related activity. This may include direct mail and advertising campaigns, both on and offline, through to organising and attending events, both those hosted by other organisations and our own. The Charity
James’ Place exists to save the lives of men in suicidal crisis through delivering free clinical services. We currently have centres in Newcastle, Liverpool and London; and in early 2026 we will be opening our fourth centre in Birmingham. Our new centre in Birmingham will be there to support suicidal men living in the West Midlands.
Our trained, professional therapists deliver a proven clinical service in a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring that men are seen quickly at the point of crisis. We have so far treated over 3,600 men who might otherwise have been unable to access the support they desperately need.
The Role
We are seeking a driven and experienced manager to oversee the operational side of our new Birmingham Centre. This is a pivotal role within the team which focuses on coordinating activity across the service to ensure the safe and effective delivery of our intervention.
The successful candidate will manage the day to day running of the James’ Place centre, with oversight from the Birmingham Head of Centre. You will manage the centre environment through both resource management and by influencing and driving local culture. The Centre Manager is responsible for line management of the Clinical Administrators and overseeing the processing of referrals to the service, ensuring men coming to James’ Place are welcomed warmly, within the expected timeframe and according to our values.
This is a new role and during their first months in post, the Centre Manager will work closely with the James’ Place Head Office Team to prepare James’ Place Birmingham for a successful launch.
Person Specification
This role requires someone with excellent organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills who can work hands-on in a busy and potentially challenging environment. You will be collaborative and work closely with the local team and wider charity outside the Birmingham centre to ensure we have consistent and effective systems in place.
We are looking for a forward thinking and proactive individual with experience of both people and operational management. The successful candidate will align with the James’ Place values and be able to demonstrate these through everyday practices including supportive leadership and line management.
Your management and administrative skills will be highly valued in sustaining the clinical operations of James’ Place. You will need to be proficient in Office 365 software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to manage Outlook cloud calendars, SharePoint, CRM databases, and shared inboxes.
The Centre Manager will often meet the men who come to James’ Place in suicidal crisis and so you will be able to demonstrate empathy and an ability to create a sense of calm while working in a sensitive and busy environment.

Job Purpose

- Line managing and supporting the Tutor Coordinator, and overseeing the 100+ strong tutor cohort
- Building and managing employer and university partnerships

Most importantly, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will consistently guide and steer the direction of the Tutor Team to ensure TU continues to make a positive impact at the end of the programme – thus making you accountable for the retention and development of tutors as we continue to grow into new areas of the country. This is a crucial role which drives team performance towards achieving our strategic objectives and ensures the tutor team and cohort is operating in such a way that we are able to hit our organisational targets for impact, finance, and growth. The Tutor and Partnerships Manager is a varied role, reflecting the many different aspects of the tutors’ involvement and importance to Tutors United. As well as overseeing the successful execution of daily operations, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and the programmes team to create strategic development opportunities for our tutors that enhance our ability to attract high quality tutors and ensure their own personal and professional growth. You will also develop and refine our Tutor Impact and Measurement systems, so that we are able to make data-driven decisions around recruitment, retention, and tutor development. This will involve identifying trends amongst tutors, making strategic adjustments in response to those trends, and reporting to senior members of Tutors United and our Board of Trustees at different points throughout the academic year. Save the Children UK has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and community focused individual with extensive partnerships experience to join us as our Participation and Partnerships Manager where you will work with local partners, children and families in Glasgow.
Please note: Regular travel in and around Glasgow is required for this role with 2-4 days per month in our Edinburgh office.

About the role
As Participation and Partnerships Manager, you will work directly with families and local organisations, building strong partnerships and delivering local area strategies that help shape national policy and influence systemic change. You'll manage local projects, support community partners, and amplify the voices of children, parents and carers—ensuring their experiences inform everything we do through developing strategic partnerships and develop impactful local area strategies.
In this role, you will:
- Build trusted partnerships across Glasgow communities and lead collaborative, place-based strategies.
- Work closely with local partners to co-develop solutions to child poverty and ensure their work feeds into national influence and advocacy.
- Engage directly with families to shape projects and policy – from local innovation initiatives to national campaigns.
- Coordinate delivery networks and support partners with funding, capacity building and ongoing support.
- Innovate new ways to amplify community voices and ensure their perspectives influence decision-making at all levels.
- Gather insights, learning and evidence to strengthen practice and contribute to organisational learning and fundraising.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- A background in community engagement or partnership work – ideally with a strong network in Glasgow.
- Experience co-developing projects with families or community groups, especially around tackling poverty or improving outcomes for children.
- Confidence working within systems change frameworks or place-based approaches.
- Strong project management and planning abilities, with a focus on collaboration and impact.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills – with the ability to bring people together and maintain trust.
- Commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission and values.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent on collaborating with colleagues and relationship building.
Please note: travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.
