About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high‑performing fundraising team driven to raise as much as possible to support our veterans — now and in the future. Sitting within the Unrestricted Income Fundraising Team and reporting to the Head of Corporate Fundraising, you will lead the growth of our high‑value workplace fundraising portfolio.

What You’ll Do
You will take ownership of developing and delivering an ambitious acquisition strategy to secure high‑value workplace and impact‑level supporters. Using flagship campaigns such as The Great Tommy Sleep Out, alongside other RBVE‑led events, you will engage new audiences and build a robust pipeline of prospects.
Working collaboratively with the Great Tommy Sleep Out Team, as well as colleagues across the Community and Corporate Fundraising teams, you will ensure as many workplaces as possible can support RBVE — whether by taking part, fundraising, or sponsoring our events.
Once engaged, you will identify and introduce key supporters to the Corporate Team for deeper relationship development and long‑term partnership growth.

These opportunities make the Marketing & Fundraising Manager position varied and interesting, with plenty of possibility to grow and develop in the role.
Job Purpose:
The Marketing & Fundraising Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing St Hilda’s East’s marketing strategy and will take the lead in organising fundraising events and securing funds from individual donations, and rental and room hire income.
They will lead on communications with external stakeholders through the development and implementation of SHE’s marketing plans and social media strategy. There will be a particular focus on strengthening our unique link with the Guild (alumnae) of Cheltenham Ladies’ College, as well as with parents and pupils of the school – to raise awareness of the impact of St. Hilda’s East and to organise joint events. The postholder will work alongside freelance fundraisers who focus on maximising grant income.
It is not essential to have experience in the non-profit sector; we would love to hear from you if you have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment and are looking to bring your talents to the charity sector.

MCKS Charitable Foundation UK is an ambitious and rapidly growing charity supporting schools and communities across the UK through school pantry programmes, breakfast clubs and wider wellbeing initiatives that help children and families experiencing food insecurity.
We currently support around 180 schools nationally, with a long-term vision to expand to 500 schools and beyond.
As part of this exciting growth phase, we are investing in two of the charity’s first full-time paid roles to help build the next stage of MCKS’ fundraising, partnerships, impact and operational infrastructure.
The Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising Manager will work very closely alongside our Schools, Community & Impact Manager, with both roles playing a key part in helping shape the future growth of the charity.

Our charity
The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’ where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar, our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the hospital means that they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry about.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding community fundraising role, focused on building strong relationships and delivering income growth across the South.
You will engage and support individuals, schools, community groups and local businesses to fundraise, delivering excellent stewardship and supporter care.
You’ll recruit participants for both ‘run your own’ and third-party events, while developing long-term relationships including with families connected to the charity.
Working collaboratively with House Teams and colleagues, you’ll help increase awareness, manage supporter activity, track income, and maximise opportunities through partnerships and communications.
You’ll also represent the charity at events and within the community.
This role requires a proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet income targets.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about community fundraising and motivated by building meaningful relationships.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will equally be as comfortable supporting families who stay with us who want to fundraise, as you are presenting to a room full of students, or potential volunteers.
You have good organisational skills and are comfortable working to objectives and targets. You are able to work with a level of autonomy and innovation to develop your fundraising portfolio and to increase our profile particularly in the areas close to our houses.
Ultimately this is a great role for anyone who loves community fundraising and understands that no two days are the same.

We are seeking a fantastic corporate partnerships manager to join our Income Generation team. · quickly learn and be able to articulate well our campaigns and victim service and their evidence base, our funding need, and the actions that corporates can and should take to prioritise safe and green use of roads, through funding us and supporting our campaigns
· find and unlock access to senior leads within companies not already working with us (e.g., public affairs, communications and corporate social relationship teams) as well as taking up the reins of stewarding relationships with some of the companies already working with us
· listen and understand corporates’ priorities, understanding their budgets, potential to fundraise within their teams and networks, and their safety, sustainability, policy and pr priorities; and articulate what Brake does and our need for help
· forge, together, actionable joint plans that generate funds for Brake from a company, directly or through their supply chain / customers. You will achieve six figure funding targets, by generating five figure funds from new and existing partners
· Work alongside team members in public affairs, PR, and public engagement to understand our programmes of work in campaigns and seek the engagement of new and existing corporate supporters in those programmes, for example through participation and sponsorship
· Be responsible for developing your own pipeline of leads and accurately forecasting income you will fundraise from this pipeline and listing partnership activities that will be delivered
· Operate within Brake’s Ethical Partnership Policy and other policies, which enables us to sustain our charity values and work alongside corporations safely.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising and Strategy
- Work with the Strategic Lead to develop and implement a fundraising strategy, including agreed income targets)
- Proactively build and manage a solid pipeline of funding applications and approaches.
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing funders, including corporates, trusts & foundations, high-net-worth individuals and the statutory sector.
- Work with the Strategic Lead to identify and take opportunities to engage and develop relationships with Merton’s businesses and High Net Worth individuals.
- Work with the Merton Connected team to explore how to maximise sector benefit from corporate volunteering and in-kind support.
- Write compelling funding applications and manage reporting requirements.
- Create and manage an efficient office system and processes for the fundraising function.
Publicity and marketing
- Promote Merton Giving to stakeholders through producing promotional material, maintaining the website, and social media
- Run events and identify opportunities to promote Merton Giving, especially to businesses and HNWs
- Work with the Grants Manager to collect impact stories from grant recipients for publicity
Partnership Development
- Work with the Strategic Lead to develop partnerships, and identify opportunities for added value and mutual benefit, such as promoting Merton Giving through the Council’s payroll giving scheme.
- Act as an ambassador for Merton Giving, representing the organisation at external events and meetings
Additional Responsibilities
- Ensure all fundraising activities are aligned with Merton Giving/Merton Connected aims and values.
- Occasionally work outside of normal office hours to support Merton Giving events and activities.
- Support with organisational tasks as required in a small, dynamic team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of securing income exceeding £300,000 a year from a diverse range of sources (corporates, trusts, individuals, and statutory sector).
- Demonstrable experience in building and managing strong relationships and partnerships with funders and stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing persuasive funding applications and reports.
