We are looking for a Fundraising Compliance Business Partner to join our Governance team and help embed ethical, proportionate and practical compliance across our fundraising activity.

You will provide practical advice on the Code of Fundraising Practice, Charity Commission expectations, supporter data, PECR, fundraising communications, complaints, vulnerable supporters, third-party fundraising, commercial participation, corporate partnerships, events, prize-led fundraising and other relevant compliance requirements.

You will also help develop the tools, guidance and controls needed to support good decision-making. This may include compliance checklists, campaign review processes, training, monitoring activity, action tracking, risk reporting and lessons learned from complaints, incidents or audit findings.

We are looking for someone with experience of fundraising compliance, risk, audit or assurance, and a strong understanding of how fundraising regulation works in practice.  You will be expected to provide constructive challenge where activity creates legal, regulatory, reputational or supporter harm risk, and to escalate issues where they fall outside agreed risk appetite.

You will be confident building relationships, influencing stakeholders and providing constructive challenge. Strong judgement, credibility and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical advice will be essential.

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the Prospect Research Manager is to lead prospect development for major gifts, partnerships and business development, driving growth in our pipeline to help Magic Breakfast reach ambitious targets and unlock new income opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead prospect profiling, network mapping, qualification, and intelligence gathering to support the Major Giving and Business Development teams.
• Drive cross-fundraising initiatives to support prospecting, including:
• Developing an inspiring suite of ‘projects for funding’ for potential partners
• Organising in-house prospecting events to deepen engagement
• Coordinating our ‘new business roadshow’ to foster a prospecting culture across account management teams
• Conduct thorough risk screening and due diligence for prospects and, where required, existing partners, in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence Policies.
• Deploy varied new business tactics- including cold calling, email outreach, stakeholder mapping, event networking, and LinkedIn engagement- to secure prospect meetings.
• Identify and attend networking events to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
• Serve as the key link between I&I and Fundraising, ensuring the latest statistics, stories, and case studies are available to craft compelling, theme-based cases for support.

The Elizabeth Landmark is seeking a Fundraising Campaign Manager to help shape and deliver fundraising for an ambitious cultural project in Northumberland. This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in building the campaign behind a major new landscape sculpture created in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. 

The Elizabeth Landmark will be a 55-metre public artwork at Cold Law, designed by Simon Hitchens and rooted in the landscape, heritage and industrial history of the site. Works have already started on site, and the project is now moving into a more focused phase of fundraising, donor engagement and partnership development. 

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser who can bring strategic thinking, structure and momentum to the campaign. Working closely with the Trustees and Curator, you will help develop and deliver the fundraising strategy, build relationships with major donors and partners, and put in place the systems and stewardship needed to support a project of this scale. The role will suit someone confident operating at a senior level, comfortable working with Trustees, and motivated by the opportunity to help realise an ambitious public project.

The role is hybrid, with flexible working considered and periodic presence at Ray Demesne required for site familiarisation, meetings and donor activity.

Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company and the country’s largest performing arts organisation. Founded in 1962 to make opera accessible to all, the company presents productions of international acclaim, from early works to world premieres. Performances are designed to be inclusive, with supertitles, audio-described and dementia-friendly shows, free and discounted tickets for under-26s, refugees, asylum seekers and schools, and touring productions reaching communities across Scotland.

The charity has a network of Patrons, members and supporters who engage with Scottish Opera at varying levels. This role supports that audience to feel connected and engaged with Scottish Opera, deepening their loyalty and seeking new ways to increase giving levels where possible and appropriate. It is a hands-on fundraising role, with scope to think and trial new ways of delivering supporter experience with the ultimate goal of growing the supporter base.

It is an exciting time to join Scottish Opera. They have invested in the fundraising team, there is organisation-wide support for fundraising, and many opportunities to engage supporters with exciting opportunities across Scottish Opera’s calendar.

This role might be for you if you consider yourself a relationship fundraiser – this is a people first role where engaging with donors over the phone and face to face will be the norm. You don’t have to have a background in philanthropy, you could have experience across community fundraising, corporate partnerships, individual giving or mid-value fundraising – the most important factor is that you understand fundraising and enjoy building great relationships with supporters and donors. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to step into a management level role, or for a candidate looking to specialise in mid-value, Patrons and membership fundraising.

Working within an arts and culture charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

Main Responsibilities 

Relationship Management 

• Lead and manage relationships with partners and support the development of local partnerships and networks that drive collaboration across relevant sectors. 

• Lead or support the development of place-based partnerships that align multiple agendas across sectors and advocate for the benefits of physical activity.

Project Management 

• Lead Think Active-managed initiatives, ensuring aims are clearly defined, delivered on time and within budget, and aligned with organisational values. 

• Use data and insight to co-design, deliver and evaluate projects and initiatives. 

• Produce clear performance reports, reporting against SMART goals and targets.

Financial Management 

• Take responsibility for diversifying Think Active's income streams in line with the business development plan, operating within funding guidance and financial procedures. 

• Manage project budgets, including forecasting, monitoring income and expenditure, and submitting financial reports. 

Demonstrating Impact 

• Track and report progress through case studies and evaluation processes that evidence the impact and value of Think Active's work. 

Marketing and Communications 

• Build brand visibility by strategically managing partnerships and contributing to Think Active's wider marketing and communications activity. 

• Help position Think Active as a leading voice in health, wellbeing, and physical activity through innovative partnerships and initiatives.

• Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in business, health, sport, physical activity or a related field.

• Knowledge of current trends and innovations in sport and physical activity participation and promotion.
