Blue Marine Foundation is seeking a Programme Manager who will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Convex Seascape Survey and lead relations with the project’s funder. This role may suit someone from a corporate or account management background, preferably local to London or the southeast and willing to travel internationally as needed. This is an incredible chance to work on pioneering global science project and to join a highly impactful charity at the cutting edge of marine conservation.
The Convex Seascape Survey is two years into a five-year, multi-million-pound pioneering research project working to quantify and understand blue carbon stored in the coastal ocean floor and its potential to help mitigate climate change. Convex Seascape Survey is a partnership between Blue Marine Foundation, Convex Insurance Limited and the University of Exeter, delivered in partnership with a consortium of over sixteen other organisations.
Project management
· Lead the project management process, matched to the project grant agreement, including oversight of project finance and all deliverables.
· Coordination of project partners to ensure activities and deliverables are achieved in keeping with quarterly milestones.
· Relationship management with project partners, serving as a main point of contact and ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with the project’s progress and outcomes.
· Responsible for organising and feeding into Steering Committee meetings, as well as contributing as required to Advisory Group meetings.
· Managing supplier relationships, overseeing contracts and work package delivery.
· Representing the project at relevant conferences and forums or visiting fieldwork sites. International travel will be required at times.
Reporting
· Report progress into the steering committee on a quarterly basis, flagging areas of concern and actioning steering committee advice.
· Develop quarterly reports and updates for the funder against deliverables.
· Create annual reports for public viewing, promoting the success and progress of the survey, with support from the communications team.
· Creation of visual presentations for advisory and steering committee updates.
Finance
· Overseeing budget spending data for the project with support from Blue Marine’s finance team, and co-ordinate invoicing and budget reporting for the partners.
· Liaising closely with Blue Marine’s finance team to ensure efficient deployment and tracking of project funds.
· Coordinating finance reports for the funder and partners.
Communications
· Present the Project at public conferences and various stakeholder events
· Supporting the communications lead in delivery of project outreach through press, digital and social media
· Contribute interviews or quotes for press on project developments.
· Assisting the development and delivery of a bespoke, project-linked education programme
The successful applicant will be highly organised, with a rigorous approach to project management. Desired experience includes:
· Successful delivery of multi-million pound, multi-year research programmes or other projects
· Track record of high-impact project management, accurate reporting and successful project delivery
· Competent and confident public-speaker with the ability to communicate complex subjects to a range of audiences which could include corporate, political and public audiences

The MEAM coalition has worked for fifteen years across more than 50 local areas in England, supporting local partnerships to tackle the structural and systemic issues that cause and sustain multiple disadvantage. We run the national MEAM Approach network, supported Fulfilling Lives from 2014-2022 and hold the current support contract for the Government and The National Lottery Community Fund’s Changing Futures programme. This new role will be responsible for leading the implementation of our new network membership structure, and ensuring members are supported to actively participate in the MEAM Approach network. As the Membership Manager, you will build relationships with our network members, oversee communications to the network, manage our online community platform, and identify ways in which we can further support network members through commercial opportunities. You will combine your deep knowledge of multiple disadvantage with a curious and collaborative approach to your work, demonstrating a genuine interest in developing and contributing to the growing knowledge and experience in systems thinking and systems leadership across the team. You will share your reflections and insights generously with the team and be open to positive challenge as you develop your practice.
Your approach to work will embrace and embody MEAM’s unique approach developed over the last fifteen years: highly collaborative; practical yet ambitious support; and focused on rebalancing power in systems through meaningful coproduction. The Young People Programme Manager will work with the Creative Learning team at Factory International to develop, deliver and manage programmes of work with young people between the ages of 14 and 30. This role will be responsible for the delivery of key strategic partnerships with commercial brands, as well as developing new streams of work with a focus on sharing power through curatorial programme decision making, programming and youth governance.
Creative Learning develop and deliver learning programs with young people and children from Cradle to Creative (the age of 0 through to 30) with a focus on underrepresented children, young people and artists. All of our programmes have a social and emotional learning outcome and focus on improving mental health, wellbeing and resilience. Learning programmes are linked to Factory International artistic commissions with wider curatorial themes drawn out to align with social and emotional frameworks.

Through management of the policy and public affairs function in Northern Ireland, the Policy & Public Affairs Manager will ensure the Trussell Trust strengthens its influence in Northern Ireland and helps bring about the policy changes required to end the need for food banks.

You'll work with creative, visionary philanthropists and donors who want to be part of the fabric of Factory International and everything it means for Manchester.
You'll develop and steward relationships from £10k upwards - working with both new and existing prospect pools - using data insight, donor intelligence and exceptional stewardship to drive increased support and engagement.

You're confident networking with high-net-worth individuals and philanthropists, and will feel comfortable positioning the organisational offer and making fundraising asks.
You are motivated by targets and enjoy working with clear metrics, which will include developing strategic prospect plans and building relationships, securing meetings, planning engagement opportunities and working across the team to develop meaningful cultivation and stewardship opportunities.
You don't need to come directly from an arts background, but you do need to be able to communicate the power of art to change lives and enrich communities.

As Business and Development Relationship Manager, your key focus will be to have a direct impact upon the growth and success of the business through the strategic contribution to service development and new business development.
This role will be home based with regular travel across the Midland and South of England region. You will be required to attend at Head Office (based in Warrington, Cheshire) for monthly team meetings, supervisions and as and when required. Salary £57,742 per annum. Contract of 39 hours per week.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and growing the customer base across the region, establishing, and maintaining key strategic partnerships with commissioners, ICBs, housing providers and other stakeholders.
- Revenue targets and relevant KPIs are delivered across the region whilst ensuring service sustainability is maintained.
- Establishing demand needs within the local areas whilst supporting with new developments, with interests in LD & MH Services.
- The ability to develop high-level reports and briefings, managing complex data and information to provide concise recommendations and detailed action plans.
For this role you will need to be able to work independently and work with the wider business development team on competitive bids and tendering across the region. Qualifications
Candidates must have a relevant qualification in Business management, or be willing to work towards. THE ROLE
The Contracts Manager will join our Operations team to represent the Woodland Trust locally, supporting a diverse portfolio of sites within North England, in line with the Trust’s standards and ensuring the safety of our colleagues, visitors, contractors and volunteers. It shall be the Contracts Manager’s responsibility to support Site Managers’ in the preparation and delivery of grant applications, operational contracts and projects including silvicultural operations.
The Contracts Manager will initiate, develop and project manage new innovative projects within and across the woodlands, working with external partner and a cross-departmental team of foresters, people engagement specialists, communications specialists and funders.
They will identify opportunities to streamline services, develop our contractor base and maximise the income and grant aid potential of work programmes. They are responsible for ensuring that all necessary agreements, mitigations and consents are in place in preparation for the delivery of contracts and in accordance with all Woodland Trust Health and Safety policies and procedures.
A company car will be provided with this role.
THE CANDIDATE
With previous experience in land-based management in the forestry, woodland management, or nature conservation sector, you’ll have experience in writing and reviewing site management plans, budget and contract management, and Health and Safety management. You’ll have experience in the writing and delivery grant schemes across woodland creation and for specifying, instructing, and supervising woodland management operations. You’ll be experienced in planning, monitoring, and delivering multi-disciplinary projects to time and to budget and in engaging with contractors and suppliers on pricing, implementation, and delivery.
You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships internally and externally. You’ll have experience engaging with external stakeholders, communities and volunteers with a collaborative approach. A working knowledge of the operational, ie Forest Works Management of woodlands would be desirable.
A full driving licence is a must have, along with the ability to undertake travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations. Occasional overnight stays will be required and you will be expected to live in the region and within easy reach of key sites in North England.

Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is a youth hub and a community operating from a modern facility in the heart of Blackburn and is open seven days a week, 52 weeks a year. With a membership of over 5,000 young people, they are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and creating a brighter future for their youth community.
The Youth Zone provides somewhere for young people to go, something to do, and someone to talk to. The new 2024-2029 strategy, developed with young people, will ensure the Youth Zone reaches even more young people and a successful new grant of £3 million will see a new World of Work centre at the heart of young people's life journey.
The Targeted Service Manager will play a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team to support young people facing unique challenges. From socio-economic barriers to mental health issues, this role will be to create a nurturing environment which empowers individuals to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities:
- You will lead a team to delivering high-quality support programmes tailored to the diverse needs of the Blackburn & Darwen community's youth.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders and partners to build a network of resources and services.
- You will champion safeguarding and child protection, ensuring no need is left unmet.
- You will manage team performance, ensuring accuracy in monitoring and reporting activities.
- You will drive improvements through data analysis and strategic planning.
The Targeted Services Manager will have significant experience working with vulnerable children or young people, including at management level, with experience dealing with child protection and safeguarding concerns and knowledge of Child Protection legislation. The successful candidate will be able to undertake needs assessments, a multi-agency approach to addressing the needs of young people and keep accurate records for monitoring and review purposes. You will be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have experience of delivering group activities, communicating effectively and sensitively with children, young people and adults, and experience of building, managing and sustaining relationships. You will have good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing volunteers or mentors to support the personal and social development of children and young people, but this is not essential.
The role is full time. You will need to be committed to working flexible hours which may involve some evening and weekend work.
