Working across the whole secretariat, from campaigns to communications to fundraising, this role is critical in the running of the organisation and supporting the aims of the coalition.
The Membership Engagement Manager will ensure TCC effectively supports its membership to become more than the sum of its parts, playing a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding our coalition by building and facilitating meaningful relationships with member organisations, both new and existing. This position is responsible for enhancing member engagement, ensuring the delivery of value to our members, and supporting the organisation's strategic objectives through effective membership management and communications.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Member Engagement & Support
Serve as the primary point of contact for member organisations, addressing inquiries and providing support to enhance member satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategies to increase member engagement, including organising events, webinars, and networking opportunities, including regular All Coalition Meetings and Annual Movement Gatherings.
Facilitate onboarding processes for new members, ensuring a smooth integration into the coalition.
Ongoing relationship management of members, including effective outreach and communications
Invoicing membership fees and ensuring payment is made
Lead on communications to members through a regular newsletter and ad-hoc communications around campaigns
Supporting members to engage with TCC activity
Work with colleagues to co-create campaigns and activities that meet member needs and ambitions
Membership Growth & Retention
Design and execute membership recruitment campaigns to attract new member organisations.
Monitor membership trends and feedback to develop retention strategies and reduce member attrition.
Collaborate with the Digital Campaigns Manager to promote membership benefits and success stories.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records using the organisation's CRM system.
Generate regular reports on membership statistics, engagement levels, and feedback to inform strategic decisions.
Analyse data to identify opportunities for enhancing member value and engagement.
Infrastructure to support Collective Impact
Responsible for the maintenance and development of the central Member Resource Hub
Responsibility for managing the day to day delivery of the Local Intelligence Hub project (online data hub providing climate-relevant data at a constituency level), including being the key contact with our external partner organisation who maintain and develop the hub, and keeping TCC members and staff involved and informed about the project as needed.
Contribute to the development of programs and services that meet the evolving needs of members.
Represent the organisation at external events and forums to promote membership and build partnerships.

What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Policy and Advocacy Manager, you will lead the development and drafting of River Action’s overall policy strategy as well as leading on specific policy areas. You will play a leading role in shaping and advancing River Action’s political and policy influence, working closely with the Senior Management Team, Chief Executive and wider organisation to develop and execute an impactful policy and advocacy strategy.
River Action is the Co-Secretariat for the APPG on Water Pollution, offering our Policy and Advocacy Manager a unique opportunity to shape the policy direction for River Action and also to influence policy development across Parliament.
You will also work closely with our public affairs agency who manage our daily Westminster activities.
You will:
Lead River Action’s development and delivery of our policy and advocacy strategy on sewage, industrial water pollution, and water scarcity
Collaborate with River Action’s team and external partners to ensure our collective work is underpinned by robust and forward-thinking policy analysis and evidence.
Develop policy analysis to support campaign, communications and policy strategies, based on a strong evidence base and a sound understanding of the relevant legal and policy frameworks.
Translate complex policy and evidence into concise documents with clear messages and compelling campaigns to engage political and policy stakeholders.
Monitor and analyse political and policy developments, interpreting their implications and opportunities for River Action and its supporters.
Generate analysis to enable participation in public consultation processes, including drafting high-quality and persuasive consultation responses and briefings for Westminster and Whitehall audiences.
Increase our political influence with exciting policy interventions, ensuring River Action’s voice is heard at the highest levels of decision-making.
Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers, civil servants, industry experts and partner organisations.
Support grassroots community groups and third-sector partners in engaging with their local representatives for effective advocacy.
Organise and attend key political meetings and events, including the Water Pollution APPG, stakeholder roundtables and parliamentary events.
Manage strategic policy partnerships, including our relationship with Wildlife and Countryside Link and other third-sector organisations.
Ensure River Action’s policy and advocacy efforts align with our creative campaigns, by making sure colleagues and spokespeople are well-briefed and communications content is well-informed to maximise reach and impact.

Knowledge of the challenge of water scarcity.
Excellent communication and writing skills with close attention to detail and the ability to produce concise and persuasive briefings, reports and consultation responses.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working creatively and at a fast pace with colleagues, stakeholders and partners.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you will play a key supporting role within the fundraising team, assisting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the Communications team. With a key aim of delivering agreed activity and growing income from corporate partnerships.
This role focuses on supporting the identification and recruitment of new regional, national and international corporate supporters, while also playing a lead role in managing and stewarding existing partnerships, with particular responsibility for communications activity and delivery of sponsorship activities and events.

The Philanthropy Manager is responsible for leading the leadership and development of Brainkinds philanthropy fundraising activities. This is a newly created role that will play an integral part of the Brainkind fundraising strategy.
The primary duties for the role will include

Role Overview
The Charity Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational activities for Holly’s Hearts to ensure the services, and internal processes run efficiently and effectively. This role supports the charity’s strategic goals by managing systems, coordinating events and volunteers, improving operational procedures, and identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, including grants, trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
Day to day you will manage emails, phone calls and general enquiries. You will need good written and verbal communication skills and be professional and friendly at all times. You will be the first point of contact for supporters interested in fundraising. You will be responsible for the development of our fundraising and events portfolio and be involved in all event management and administration.This will include planning events, organising venues, budgets and logistics around the event.
