We are recruiting for an additional Regional Fundraising Manager to join the Regional Fundraising Team here at the Alzheimer’s Society covering the South East of England, which covers Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hants and East Dorset.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced team manager with expertise in community, corporate or relationship fundraising. This role will enable you to demonstrate your impact by both growing the overall income within your sub-region by managing and developing your amazing team of 4 Regional fundraisers, and through leading by example on securing new sources of income where the opportunity is greatest. This will range from new business acquisition through to delivering high level bespoke stewardship and key account management for our high value supporters. This is a real opportunity for you to make your mark on the sub region. 

From multi-year partnerships and supporters, right through to managing volunteers and raising awareness in our communities, the team you will lead is talented, fast-paced and on a mission to create a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. This is where you come in - we need somebody who can harness this passion, help us to maximise on the opportunities that our unique locations give us, and ultimately grow income so we can be there for everybody affected by dementia. 

The role will work closely with the Senior Regional Fundraising Manager and other Regional Fundraising Managers in the region to plan, execute and deliver our core community income and expenditure budget, ensuring that no opportunity is left unturned.

Whilst this is a homeworking role, you will need to be based in and able to travel across your sub region (Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hants, East Dorset) to meet supporters and attend internal meetings at locations across the country including our flagship offices (London, Birmingham, Warrington and Belfast). You must reside in the UK and have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK. 

About you

We are looking for somebody with strong experience of community, corporate or relationship fundraising who has a track record in managing a team, alongside winning new business and providing strong high-level stewardship.

You will be joining a dedicated and enthusiastic fundraising team where you will be personally responsible for managing a portfolio of individual relationships. You will cultivate, solicit and manage a portfolio of major donor prospects (this includes holding regular face-to-face meetings) to secure significant donations towards our themes of Climate, Health, Creative and Campus.

Degree-educated or with equivalent qualifications/experience, you must have excellent communication skills and a proven track record in fundraising or relationship management.

The Role

This new role of Fundraising Manager is a key part of the ongoing work to implement the Cathedral’s strategic plan. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the role will be vital in securing sustainable funds to support the Cathedral’s ambitious plans for growth. Main responsibilities include:

• Creating and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy
• Leading and developing the existing Patrons Programme
• Developing a pipeline to secure grant funding from trusts and foundations

The Person

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies that deliver financial growth. You will have experience in one or more of the following income streams; Trust and Foundations, Major Donor/ Patrons and/or Legacy Fundraising. You should be experienced in working to targets and managing budgets and possess a sound knowledge of fundraising regulations and legislation and GDPR.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You should also be able to write compelling communications, including applications and proposals.

Previous line management experience is desirable, but most importantly, you should be collaborative, ambitious, and resilient, ready to drive projects forward. This is a diverse role with huge potential to build on historic success and shape the future of Ripon Cathedral!

Together Women is an award-winning charity that supports women and girls across Yorkshire and Humberside, with particular focus on women who are involved in or at risk of entering the criminal justice system. Role Summary

This is an exciting role for someone with a passion for leading data-driven, insight-led service design and delivery, and for a person who loves to champion best practice in data management and governance. In this role you will contribute to improving the experiences and outcomes of the women who access our Women’s Centres and Services, and by listening to and learning from women, you will utilise insight to drive organisational and systemic change.

You will lead on the strategic use of data and insights, embedding best practice in data collection methods and gender-specific assessment tools, with a focus on the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment (WRNA) and the Gendered Wellbeing Assessment (GWA). You will deliver robust and meaningful operational and strategic reporting; regular and accessible management information to support effective service delivery; regular performance monitoring and reporting to commissioners and funders; and further develop the ways we demonstrate our impact and share stories of change.

You will lead operational delivery of our data systems, to ensure robust data governance, compliance and ongoing technical implementation and optimisation. This role is critical to embedding a culture of data-driven decision making, using insight to support high quality service delivery, and to drive long term systemic change through key research projects. You will work closely with our WRNA Project Manager and the wider Management team to embed learnings from the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership and support our ongoing contribution to University of Birmingham long term research into women’s experience of the criminal justice system, helping to shape the development of evidence-based policy and best practice across the Women’s sector in the UK.

You will work closely and line manage the Data and Impact Analyst to ensure robust training programmes are in place, to support our staff teams to effectively and efficiently utilise our data tools and systems, and to embed data management best practice. You will also work together to embed our involvement and lived experience strategy, ensuring women’s voices and insight are at the heart of our service delivery models.

The role will also provide leadership on data protection and organisational Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsibilities, and will work closely with our Information Governance Lead.

Key accountabilities

Data Systems Oversight and Leadership:

• Work with EWC partners, The JABBS Foundation and University of Birmingham to support the final design phases of a specialist, bespoke case management system (CMS), to ensure it meets the needs of Together Women, and our sister organisations within the Effective Women’s Centres Partnership.
• Roll out the implementation and adoption of the new CMS, to include data migration, staff training programmes, and new reporting suites and dashboards.
• Provide strategic CMS oversight to ensure the system continues to meet organisational needs and lead planning for CMS development projects including upgrades, integrations and enhancements.
• Monitor and assess future CMS system needs, scoping and identifying development areas.
• Contribute to budget planning, including CMS ongoing costs and development projects, and ensuring activities are delivered within agreed resources.
• Work closely with Senior Management and wider Management team on future projects relating to updates or changes to the CMS system.

Data Leadership and Governance:

• Develop a Data and Impact Strategy to align with organisational priorities.
• Lead on data governance and UK GDPR compliance, including data governance policies, DPIAs, information sharing agreements, SARs, and ongoing breach and information security risk management.
• Support the implementation and ongoing review of data policies, ROPA documentation, data security protocols, and internal staff training.
• Provide assurance to the Senior Management team on data compliance, reporting risks and mitigating actions.
• Ensure staff understand their data responsibilities, build data capability and a strong data protection culture through training, guidance and fostering data confidence and accountability.

Insights, Analysis and Performance:

• Lead the provision of insights, analysis, and performance reporting, and embed a culture of insight-led decision making across the charity.
• Support the ongoing development of our involvement and lived experience insight workstream, and further establish our ability to co-design and co-produce our service offer.
• Evidence our impact and performance within contractual monitoring reports, and contribute to future funding bids and tenders to secure commissioning arrangements.
• Produce clear, interpretable reports for internal and external stakeholders, as required.
• Produce clear management information and performance reports on both outputs and outcomes, and enable Managers to articulate stories of change, drive continuous improvement and demonstrate the quality of our work.
• Develop a performance framework to monitor progress of the implementation of Together Women’s strategy, and prepare reports to inform Trustees of progress made.
• Support senior leaders with data-driven planning, presenting insights in accessible ways.
• Conduct ongoing data analysis to identify improvement opportunities, risks and issues.

Team Leadership and Collaborative working:

• Line manage the Data and Impact Analyst, providing support, direction, coaching, workload prioritisation and professional development opportunities.
• Take a hands-on role in data processing to support the day-to-day delivery of the data function, ensuring operational resilience. Contribute to the immediate data management requirements as well as leading on the longer-term data strategy.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Together Women to align data activities with organisational objectives and mission.
• Work closely with key external stakeholders and maintain excellent relationships with key partners through collaborative, mutually beneficial working practice.
• Attend regular meetings and networking opportunities relating to the Effective Women’s Centres Project, and associated networks and events.

Quality Assurance and Contribution to research:

• Ensure data collection, management and storage processes are standardised and consistent across all our services.
• Embed the Women’s Risk Needs Assessment and Gendered Wellbeing Assessment as Together Women’s default assessment tools.
• Support Master Trainers to embed WRNA and GWA certifications across all frontline staff teams.
• Work closely with colleagues to develop a new Quality Assurance (QA) audit process and embed this into Together Women’s work.
• Identify and resolve problems that may affect the achievement of research objectives and deadlines, and escalate where necessary.
• Uphold the principles of ethical research, particularly with regard to consent and confidentiality.
• Carry out administrative tasks related directly to the delivery of the research.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Support Manager to join our innovative Young People, Volunteer and Business Support Directorate. You will manage the Volunteer Support Team and develop and maintain efficient volunteering systems used by our volunteers. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Access Interns Programme, a partnership between The Kartik Foundation and Variety, provides disabled young people with meaningful corporate internship opportunities to support their career aspirations. For many disabled young people, accessing work experience can be challenging due to societal barriers, lack of support, and limited opportunities. Access Interns is designed to break down these barriers, ensuring that participants gain valuable work experience, professional skills, and industry connections to help them succeed in their chosen careers.

The Access Interns Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the ACCESS INTERNS programme, overseeing the internship placement process, employer engagement, and student support. This includes managing the selection process, coordinating placements, ensuring workplace accessibility, and tracking the programme’s impact.

The role also involves working closely with corporate employers to create inclusive work environments, supporting interns throughout their placements, and expanding engagement with schools, employers, and industry leaders to ensure disabled young people have equal access to high-quality career opportunities.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management

· Managing the Access Interns Programme, ensuring it is delivered to a high standard and in line with Variety’s policies and procedures

· Working with the Chief Executive Officer to set annual internship placement targets, manage the Access Interns budget and develop the Access Interns Programme.

· Overseeing the end-to-end process of the programme, from student recruitment and employer engagement to placement coordination and post-internship evaluation.

· Adhering to Variety’s Safeguarding policies and procedures and working with the Head of Programmes, by recognising that interns are vulnerable adults, and taking responsibility for their safety, welfare, and well-being throughout the programme.

· Identifying opportunities to expand and enhance the programme, ensuring it remains impactful, sustainable, and aligned with Variety’s strategic goals.

· Developing guidance materials, training sessions, and workshops to prepare students for internships and support their professional growth

· Working with the Programme’s team to input & manage programme data and reporting.

· Tracking and reporting on Programme Impact and analysing data to ensure continuous improvement.

Logistics and Coordination

· Coordinating interview schedule, employer meeting, and onboarding sessions to facilitate successful placements.

· Managing communication with interns, employers, schools, and other stakeholders, ensuring all parties are well-informed and supported.

· Organising online disability awareness training for corporate employers as part of the onboarding process, ensuring employers understand best practices for supporting disabled interns and creating accessible workplaces.

· Ensuring all necessary documentation, contracts and agreements are completed and maintained in line with Variety’s Policies and Compliance standards.

Budget and Income Generation

· Managing the Access Interns Programme budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control.

· Generating income from the programme, including securing corporate partnerships and funding opportunities to sustain and expand Access Interns.

· Working closely with the fundraising team to assist in converting Access Intern partners into Corporate Donors for Variety’s wider work.

· Working with the Chief Executive Officer to set financial targets and explore additional funding streams.

· Monitoring expenditure, tracking income, and providing financial reports on programme performance.

Student Outreach & Support

· Manage the application and selection process, ensuring fair and transparent recruitment.

· Working closely with students to support their career development, including

- CV writing and cover letter workshops

- Interview preparation sessions

- Professional skills training (e.g. workplace etiquette, communication skills, and confidence-building)

- One-on-one mentoring and guidance

· Provide guidance and support to interns throughout their journey, from pre-placement preparation to post-internship follow-up.

· Responsible for marketing to schools and colleges to increase awareness and participation.

· Ensuring students understand their rights and workplace accommodations, advocating for inclusive and accessible internships.

· Visiting schools and colleges to promote the programme, engage with students, and increase participation from disabled young people.

Employer Outreach & Support

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with corporate employers to ensure a positive and productive experience for employers participating in the programme.

· Acting as the primary point of contact for employers, providing guidance and support throughout the internship process.

· Working with employers to develop meaningful internship opportunities, ensuring placements align with both business needs and student development goals

· Addressing any challenges or concerns that arise during placements, acting as a mediator where necessary.

· Delivering pre-placement briefings for employers, setting expectations and promoting inclusive hiring practices

· Gathering feedback from employers to continuously refine and improve the programme.

Customer Service and Administration

· Working with Operations Team and external partners to devise and deploy scalable on-boarding and internship management systems.

· Providing excellent customer service to applicants and prospective applicants, giving advice and guidance over the phone, in person and via email.

· Collecting and collating impact and monitoring data.

· Providing administrative support for other Programmes depending on workload, capacity and department demand.

Other Duties and Partner Support

· Assisting with events, reporting, and stakeholder engagement related to Variety’s wider mission and partner organisations.

· Collaborating with internal and external teams to support strategic initiatives that align with the goals of the Access Interns Programme.

General Responsibilities

· Negotiate placements and work collaboratively with employers to ensure meaningful learning experiences for interns.

· Applying knowledge of disabilities, relevant laws (e.g. Equality Act 2010), and reasonable adjustments to ensure that both interns and employers receive the necessary support for a successful and inclusive internship experience

· Expand the programme’s employer network, targeting organisations in corporate sectors to enhance placement opportunities.

· To work cross functionally with other departments, regions and countries.

· To achieve the highest standards of safeguarding for the young people who complete a corporate internship by Variety by complying with all appropriate Policies and Procedures.

· Working within Variety’s Data Protection policies at all times.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

• Proven experience in managing programmes or projects, including planning, delivery, and evaluation.

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders (e.g., employers, schools, students).

• Knowledge of disability rights, accessibility requirements, and the Equality Act 2010.

• Understanding of safeguarding principles and experience working with vulnerable adults or young people

The Role

Supporting the Head of Cancer Insight, you will continue to develop and deliver a policy and public affairs strategy, including influencing at a local, regional, and national level, with the aim of helping the charity achieve its strategy and bringing benefit to the people of Yorkshire. You will develop evidence-based policy reports and recommendations that can be used to influence a variety of audiences and project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns and events. As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you will also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.

Specifically, you will:

Influencing

· Support the further development, refinement and delivery of the charity’s influencing strategy and impact evaluation process, in line with the charity’s own strategic ambitions.

· Lead the development of insightful written materials and reports to aid influencing.

· Lead the charity’s response to regional and national consultations relevant to cancer in Yorkshire, making a robust and evidence-based case for the charity’s position.

· Oversee the continued growth of the charity’s political monitoring work and ensure the effective pursuit of every opportunity offered.

· Engage with regional and national decision makers to influence policy-making for the benefit of people in Yorkshire and beyond.

· Grow relationships with key stakeholders across Yorkshire and beyond (such as DHSC, NHSE, Integrated Care Boards, Cancer Alliances, national policy groups, and other charities, to influence change based on policy recommendations.

Policy development

· Support the continued development of the policy production and dissemination process, including the policy development pathway, internal/external dissemination and impact evaluation.

· Lead the research, production and dissemination of high quality, evidence-based cancer-related policies and the strategic development of key policy recommendations.

· Oversee regular updates of existing policies and position statements, ensuring that topical policies are updated frequently.

· Ensure external insight is built into policies and policy development, such as gaining views from the Patient and Public Involvement Community, the inclusion of external patient and public contributors and endorsements from clinical and academic experts.

· Oversee work with relevant internal teams to create key messages for a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring these are in line with the latest evidence and are used correctly, and provide expert commentary on media stories.

· Act as a source of expertise on the charity’s cancer-related policies and position statements, both internally and externally. Undertake media interviews as required to communicate key messages with the public.

Campaigns and Events

· Project manage the development, delivery and evaluation of public affairs campaigns, in collaboration with the Brand and Relationships team where relevant, manage relationships with third parties to support campaign delivery where required.

· Lead the outreach and delivery of influencing events, including visits to charity-funded projects and party conference activity.

· Further develop and deliver of a strategy for growing and maintaining a handraiser supporter base, to enhance public affairs campaigns activity.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

· To have a degree in a relevant subject area, for example public policy, public health, scientific, medical etc.

· To have substantial experience of writing influencing materials such as briefings, letters, blogs, campaign materials.

· To have substantial experience supporting the implementation of high impact campaigns that engage the public and are designed to influence. Experience of working on campaigns that encourage behaviour change.

· To have experience of evaluating campaigns, and assessing the impact of policy and public affairs activities.

· To have excellent Public Affairs experience including understanding of local, regional and national government, the current health policy landscape as well as knowledge of UK parliamentary processes along with a proven track-record of engaging politically to make change happen.

· To have substantial experience of developing evidence-based policies for a health focused organisation.

· To have substantial experience of communicating health policy positions to a variety of audiences including for influencing purposes.

· To have a good understanding of the health care system in England.

· To be a strategic thinker with strong analytical, judgement and decision-making skills.

Our Sunflower Appeal launched in June 2025 and aims to raise £5million by 2029 to open a new cancer centre at the Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. This will double chemotherapy capacity in the region, as well as adding outpatient clinics and diagnostic facilities for the first time in Telford. This is our biggest appeal to date, and we need to make sure that our fundraising team is robust and able to rise to this challenge.

We’re looking for people to support our amazing community of fundraisers and donors in the following areas:

- Corporate- we work with business from around our region, building long-term charity partnerships, engaging them in supporting events, and involving their teams in volunteering opportunities. One of our new team members will help us build on our programme of corporate engagement, looking across the region to identify and engage new supporters, as well as working closely with our existing friends in the business community. This role will have a specific focus on building our support in Telford & Wrekin and will be based primarily in our Telford office.

Our Fundraisers need to be able to build successful relationships and will be motivated to make a real difference to their local community through their fundraising efforts. They will be confident, engaging and able to communicate our message to a wide range of people. They will be resourceful and able to identify opportunities, getting people involved in a way that suits them, and adds real value to our cause.

We are looking for the equivalent of two full time people to fill these roles. This could be one person working in each area, but we will consider part time and job shares opportunities for the right candidates.

We are looking for someone with great communication and project development skills to join us as a LiveLife Project Coordinator. Joining a busy and highly effective team, this role will help deliver two major programmes of work for Lingen Davies. With a primary focus on cancer awareness raising to address health inequalities (early diagnosis, cancer screening and prevention), we use a range of activities and settings to effectively engage with the public and target communities. This work is focussed in the following areas:

• Cancer Champions Project (focus on Telford). Working in partnership colleagues, along with NHS Shropshire Telford &Wrekin, and Qube, to deliver and maintain the Telford component of the project.
• LiveLife community cancer awareness programme. Our Lingen Davies community health promotion initiative, bringing cancer awareness to communities across the region.
