We’re looking for a detail-orientated People and Culture Administrator to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of our People and Culture function. The role is primarily based at the charity office at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with the requirement to also work from the charity office at Birmingham Women’s Hospital alongside some remote and out of hours working.

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing comprehensive administrative support to the People and Culture Manager
across all stages of the employee life-cycle, acting as the first point of contact for

• Coordinating inductions for new starters in partnership with managers, ensuring a

areas.
• Leading the coordination of training sessions, working closely with the People and
Culture Manager to ensure effective planning and delivery.
• Managing all administrative aspects of the recruitment process, including preparing
recruitment documents, organising recruitment timelines, drafting and posting job
adverts, logging applications and supporting the smooth delivery of recruitment
campaigns.

Orbis UK is delighted to offer the role of HR and Governance Manager, a new position for the charity, as the organisation seeks to grow and build on past successes to reach its target of achieving £10m income in the next 5 years.

This role is critical to supporting a highly performing group of staff and trustees as we seek to transform lives through the prevention and treatment of blindness. This role will sit within the Business Support Team, which is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation and will be crucial in creating a revised HR strategy and ensuring that the organisation’s compliance with key statutory and regulatory requirements are maintained at all times. We are looking for our new Financial Controller: someone who takes pride in running an excellent finance operation and who enjoys being closely involved in the life of a college.

This is a senior role at the heart of the College’s professional services team. Reporting to the Treasurer, the Financial Controller leads the College’s finance function and ensures the delivery of high-quality financial management, reporting and control across the organisation.

Responsibilities 

Financial & Grant Coordination

• Support Epic’s bi-annual grantmaking process, including but not limited to drafting and distributing grant agreements and archiving documentation.

Operational oversight

• Maintain operational oversight so that legal, advocacy, funding and finance align with GLAN’s organisational strategy.

Financial oversight

• Oversee financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure controls, financial reporting, payroll.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements and donor / funder financial reporting obligations.
• Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and financial service providers.
• Ensure best practices are followed and financial risk is identified and managed appropriately.

Person Specification

Essential

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in senior leadership roles, delivering successful organisational financial oversight- with expertise in business planning and complex project management.
• Demonstrable experience of high-level budgeting, forecasting, auditing, proven accountability for ensuring financial sustainability and compliance.

Job Purpose

The Head of Community Support and Operations is a pivotal new role being introduced to the executive team at Barnsley CVS.  This person will be a key role in the growth and development of the executive team.  You will play an exciting part in the delivery and development of the recently developed 4-year strategy and theory of change. Your role will drive intention and focus on developing our support to the sector in a meaningful way to high standards, whilst ensuring our own internal operations reflect best practice.  You will need a strong knowledge of charity set up, management and governance along with a passion for what the VCSE sector does.  You will be confident in people management and development; have the ability to work inclusively with a wide range of people and backgrounds and the skill to see gaps and opportunities for service development.

You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to identify gaps and opportunities to develop our offer of support to the sector whether through direct services, training, brokerage agreements or membership offers.  As you identify these opportunities, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Business Development to explore commercial income options that are also in line with our mission and vision.

Using your excellent people skills, you will act as the first point of contact for HR matters within the charity, overseeing the general management of our online HR system, policies and procedures.  You will work in collaboration with the CEO in any areas that need significant development or management.

You will keep up to date with new initiatives and ideas in the wider infrastructure sector, relevant legislation and modern thinking in relation to charity management best practice.

The Royal Foundation of St Katharine is one of Britains oldest charities in continuous existence since 1147. Now in its third location in Limehouse between the City of London and Canary Wharf it is a retreat centre, hospitality and meeting space and a community charity. We host around 1000 meetings a year for major chairites and trusts. We run our own Retreat programme grounded in Christiian spirituality.

We are now recruiting a Finance Director (CCAB qualified) to oversee the financial aspects of this c£3m turnover charity with around 60 staff. The role is part of the Senior Management Team, reporting to the Master and is responsible for day to day financial operations, budgeting, management reporting, investment oversite, VAT and Tax. Payoll and HR admin - supervising one financial assistant. 

Ability to be hands on with financial processing - with a strong grasp of accounting systems (Sage Inacct) and interfaces. Budgeting, VAT and Management reporting expertise.. Management of audit and annual reporting cycle. Able to use financial data to encourage managers to make good commercial decisions.
