As a UX Designer, you’ll play a key part in growing our user experience practice and embedding user-centred design across digital programmes and services. In order to achieve this you will have rounded skills in both UX and UI.

About you
We're looking for someone who brings some of the following skills and experience:

• Experience in a comparable UX/UI design role putting users at the heart of the design process from concept to launch.
• Proficiency in current UX/UI software and tools - fluency with Figma is required

About the role:

Myeloma UK is looking for a motivated and highly proactive Senior Policy Officer to join our Patient Advocacy team within the wider Research and Advocacy directorate. 

You will have experience in analysing, developing, and communicating complex policy issues, strong communication skills, and the ability to prioritise a fast-moving and wide-ranging workload.

You will also have experience working collaboratively and building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

You will have the ability to present findings and recommendations to a range of audiences and produce high-quality succinct briefings in a timely fashion, underpinned by evidence.

Empathy and sensitivity are required to work closely with patients and their families and friends.

Experience in the health charity sector, public/patient engagement work, and working on the National Institute of Health Care Excellence (NICE) and Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) consultation processes would be beneficial but not essential.

As Senior Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will represent the charity externally including national meetings with senior healthcare decision makers.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to health technology appraisals (HTA), regulatory pathways (MHRA), clinical development programmes (academic and industry clinical trials) and commissioning routes to broaden access to new myeloma drug therapies and diagnostic technologies.

We are currently looking for a Growth and Development Worker based in England to join our team. This is an externally funded post which will be focused on opening new provision and supporting existing provision in order to reduce waiting lists within specific funding areas. You need to be able to coach, empower and inspire our volunteers and cadets, both in person and remotely, to grow the Sea Cadets.

Requirements

• Previous experience of working with volunteers
• Experience delivering on multiple project plans simultaneously
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with a variety of stakeholders remotely and face-to-face
• Experience delivering workshops and/or training
• Self-motivated and able to manage your time and workload effectively
• Flexible and enthusiastic
• Able to work as a team player with creative ideas and solutions who will empower our volunteers to make a difference to the lives of even more young people across the UK

What you will do:
 
You will play a vital role within our dedicated Supporter Services function as part of the Individual Giving team. This role is responsible for the excellent supporter care of our donors and for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of personal data held on Canine Partners’ primary customer relationship management (CRM) database. The role has a specific focus for the administration and fulfilment of the My Amazing Puppy (MAP) sponsorship scheme. You will manage general administrative duties such as the daily banking processes, tasks and routines liaising with colleagues. You will work with the Individual Giving team to develop and send regular ‘pupdates’ to MAP members to an agreed annual schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone wishing to start their career in the charity sector, where you can attend events, interact with supporters and play a vital role in raising income, improving our systems and seeing the results of your work.

What we’re looking for:

• Knowledge of database systems and experience with database administrations and data entry.
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
• The ability to write reports and evaluations using data.

• Great interpersonal skills; strong team working skills, able to work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Executive support for GuildHE’s CEO;

• Secretariat duties for GuildHE’s Executive Board;

• Financial administration;

• Demonstrating a proactive approach to embedding EDI principles in all work.
