As our first Commercial Director, you'll have the autonomy to establish commercial capability from the ground up. You'll build partnerships with health and care organisations, create revenue streams that strengthen our mission including leading the development of training courses that reach new audiences: supporting our members to prevent infections and save lives.

What You'll Do
- Build corporate partnerships: Build relationships and partnerships with businesses that have an interest in infection prevention
- Enhance events revenue: Enhance and develop sponsorship opportunities across our annual conference, events, and webinar programmes
- Explore new opportunities: Identify emerging revenue streams from consultancy, publications, and membership growth into new professional sectors
- Shape training course development: Scope and develop infection prevention courses that generate income whilst advancing our educational mission
Who We're Looking For
You're an experienced commercial professional with a proven track record of generating revenue through partnerships, training programmes, or business development. You might come from membership organisations, professional bodies, charities, education or healthcare settings, or from B2B commercial roles with clear transferable skills.
You have the entrepreneurial confidence to build something new, the strategic thinking to identify opportunities, and the relationship skills to turn those opportunities into sustainable partnerships. You're equally comfortable developing pricing models and financial projections as you are crafting compelling partnership proposals.
Most importantly, you understand that commercial success and charitable purpose aren't opposing forces – they're complementary. You want your commercial expertise to strengthen a charity's capacity to serve its members and achieve its mission.

This hosted role at Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) supports the River Wey catchment community co-created by Water Rangers, River Wey Trust, and ZCG.
Project overview and objectives
Since 2021, Water Rangers, River Wey Trust and ZERO Carbon Guildford have built a thriving community-led programme across the River Wey catchment. We’re now looking for a special person to better support our volunteer-run river stewardship, to deepen community engagement and coordinate actions that support healthier rivers and their ecosystems.

Role purpose and responsibilities
This is a new role, created with the aim of strengthening and growing the successful river stewardship and water testing in the River Wey catchment.
Responsibilities:
Lead community building & volunteer enablement

Recruit, onboard and train volunteers; supervise interns and support educators/community leaders.

Deliver and support the delivery of volunteer-run education sessions, Community Lab activities, community pop-ups, and monthly monitoring.

Lead communications

We’re looking for someone with a combination of strengths in communications and community building and a willingness to learn. You should be self-motivated, organised, people-centred, and partnership-minded. Having a passion for the environmental and rivers is integral, but you don't need to be a water/river expert. You’ll need access to a vehicle for those events that can’t be reached on public transport (mileage will be reimbursed).

You will provide tailored advice, guidance and care planning for people 12 weeks pre-release and up to 6 months post-release, ensuring they connect with the right services, from substance use support to mental and physical healthcare.

The Role
BASIC is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead our finance function during a period of sustained growth. The Financial Controller will work across Programme teams ensuring strong financial management and reporting to funding partners, maintain strong financial controls, ensure compliance with charity finance regulations, and provide accurate financial reporting to our Directors and Board of Trustees.
The Financial Controller will oversee the small finance team, including line management of a Finance Assistant and management of an external bookkeeper consultant. This team will be responsible for the majority of financial accounting, processing payroll, and accurate bookkeeping, for which the Financial Controller will be ultimately accountable.
The role includes managing restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with funder requirements and programme needs, preparing statutory accounts for external audit, and overseeing payroll processing. This role reports directly to the Executive Director to prepare annual budgets and financial strategy, and works closely with the Board's Financial Development Committee to present its implementation.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills, experience in charity finance, and a proven track record of effective financial management of a growing organisation. You should be comfortable both managing a small team and working hands-on when needed, building collaborative relationships across the organisation. You will need to be a multitasker with the ability to work at pace, and be willing to develop the finance function and best practices to enable the organisation to grow further.

About the role
As Director of Finance and Resources and with an oversight of a £15m budget, we are looking for a strong, corporate business leader operating at a senior level to help take Cystic Fibrosis Trust forward on our exciting journey towards a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and optimising our finance and resources to deliver maximum impact for people with cystic fibrosis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

To get there, we’re looking for an HR Business Partner to support the growth of our Programme Offices and Advancement Offices in Europe and Africa. You will serve as a bridge between regional and global leaders, ensuring we are aligned to our ambitious global mission and priorities. You will develop a strategic HR function for the region that supports talent acquisition and development, embeds our culture of agility and partnership, data-driven decision-making and spiritual formation.
You will bring outstanding HR business partnering experience at progressively senior levels, ideally within complex, matrixed and global organizations, a passion for justice and a mature Christian faith.

About the Role
As a Housing and Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality housing and support services to our residents. You will often be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, responding to a wide range of enquiries and offering clear, holistic, and informed guidance.
This role is wonderfully varied, combining customer service, reception duties, safety responsibilities, and building support. Whether welcoming new residents, assisting Health & Wellbeing members, or responding compassionately to concerns, you will be a key representative of YMCA St Paul’s Group throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
Be the warm, reassuring presence that sets the tone for a positive resident experience. Your professionalism and empathy will leave a lasting impression on our residents and their support network.
Versatility at Its Best
No two shifts will be the same. Alongside reception responsibilities—such as managing telephone services, handling mail, overseeing repairs, and processing payments—you will support the smooth operation of the building and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment.
Safety and Security
As the designated first aider and fire marshal, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding residents during emergencies. Your routine wellbeing checks, patrols, and facilities inspections will help uphold a safe and comfortable environment for all.
Welcoming and Listening
As the first point of contact, you may welcome new residents, respond to complaints, handle reports of anti-social behaviour, and provide a compassionate, attentive ear. Your ability to identify, escalate, and report concerns appropriately will be essential.
